Was literally in that exact spot today and got some tiny Black Sea bass and two 7-8” sheepshead. Granted my son and I were using spec rigs and fresh shrimp. Had a few mud minnows on a drum rig looking for some black drum. Nothing doing on that. Will try again tomorrow hopefully.

You got the sheepshead eating behavior down! We don’t have sea urchin in GA.

Another Great video. Bought a house between Oak Island and Holden Beach and was scouting for structure, I found some bridges, hopefully I will have the same success as you. Keep'em coming.

Did some underwater video on my favorite bridge the other day and was surprised to see a few keeper sized sheeps mixed in with an absolute army of 8 inch ones

Hard to avoid the little guys with crabs, urchins will do the trick!

I have the exact same tackle box same color and everything I’ve had it for years been using it each time I’ve been stationed at different military bases. I retired back in 2009 from Ft. Jackson in South Carolina. I haven’t been Sheepshead fishing yet but thinking about going down to the low county. Great catch

great video as always, I noticed that when you bleed out your fish it seems like it always on the right side, is that what your do or do you do the left side also?

Urchins and crabs in the winter? How are you managing that?

They can both be found all year in NC. Just have to look a bit harder or wait for a warm sunny day.

What is your preference on rod, reel and pound line?

My setups are in the description. This is heavy duty tackle to set hooks hard and land whatever decides to have a go.

June - September is my best luck for the big fish. Best time is sunrise to around 8am.
