I spoke with Luke he is an awesome guy I mentioned to him that I learned about his heads on your channel. If we get 10 pre-orders he is going to design custom heads for the kdx200/220 I am super excited to work

@@LUNDMX I have a ton of people seriously interested but the problem is I’m just a regular dude. I wish I had someone with a following or something to make a comment in the group about Luke and phathead. I’ve got like 60+ comments of people saying they want one…… we’ll see who’s serious. Only ridden 1 500 when I was maybe 16 still racing 125's before the 4-stroke takeover, was a KX500 fully built for desert racing.... That bike scared the absolute 💩 out of me lol the powerband is so gnarly. Would love to track down one in need of saving!
90's are the best years for sure, nothing can top those bikes

If you're interested I run my kx 500 48:1 with opti-2 two cycle smokeless for about 15 years and Adam Millar rebuilt it and commented how good of condition the motor was in. He said what ever I was mixing the oil I was using keep doing it.

My KDx200 was running super rich and revving to the moon on startup and also filing the pipe with oil.... It was the seal between the cases.

@@LUNDMX love the new shop can't wait for all the new rebuilds ,I got 98 yz 125 with 2 motors three jugs n alot of parts for 200$ his wife was done with it ,motor has all new bearings couldn't believe it 😀

What year is that? I have a 1993 with 1998 forks, shock, wheels and brakes, FMF Burly (now known as the Gnarly) and a few other tricks, like ASV levers on Easton bars on a Triton tree, oversized pegs and no slip seat. Its an animal! I had a 125, too, and I swapped the front fenders. The 125 had a wide one and the 500 had a narrow one. They both looked wrong to me.

How much compression was it making with that head? I think adam millar recommends the CGJ needle I bought a pwk carb from partzilla for a cr250 and the needle was way narrow at the tip... way too rich... the needle taper is important too!

Sounds like a crank seal. Is it worth to gusset the frame first? I did a total rebuild on a 83 kx125 . I made 7 new gussets and a welded skid plate before powder coating so the low hour frame didn't crack
I got the new frame for a lot of reasons the foot pegs the compromised steel of the old frame and to have a frame with a title was a big thing for me. I agree on the crank seal it’s good to know it’s all fresh now
@@LUNDMX I mean do you think it would be worth to gusset the new frame right from the beginning? Or would it make it too stiff? There was no chance of the 83 Unitrak frame becoming too stiff. If you saw a bare frame it looks so frail it's little more than a place to hang fenders from
