i'll probably test the new engine but i don't see my self coming back. I used to play hardcore back when Scarlet Raid was the end game and it was hard to get full end game and we didnt have all those psyches and the rng enhancing on the weapons, etc. Don't even want to think about how bad it is now.
I remember raiding for hours every night in the nightfall sanctuary raid. The game was grindy but not anywhere close to the insanity it is now. It was good times.
Honestly, i dont think any new players will come to the game. I played 2 yrs ago, recently tried to return but with all changes im just waay too behind everyone in gear and unless i dump million bucks im not gonna catch up since theres so many things to grind. If i was a newcomer and saw all this shit i would definitely run away. Depends on optimization tho if its gonna run like the current client then rip
You should give it a try. A friend of mine came back in like 2-3 months ago and he’s pretty up there now. They’re also having an event on release I believe that gets you to thornbreaker 9 which is a weapon under the current top/whale weapon.. I came back about a week ago, and I do feel pretty behind.. but I’m still having fun playing catch-up and I’m doing well without swiping. I also think new players won’t be feeling like it’s impossible because of how fun it is to gear and get new outfits/skills.. besides the fact that they’re going to change that system and make it easier… all in all I do feel like the quality of the game is getting better, (later on in game) apart from lag issues sometimes, I’m seeing a lot more quests with voice actors and even better acting (Even if it’s still somewhat subpar) SOO I do think it’s worth coming back.
I personally think, we COULD get a new server and them keeping the current server at the same time, depending on how many people are playing the update
they would make alot more money with a new server... i don't understand ncsoft tbh, Just keep the old one, and if u wanna start in a new server just do it...
another server will cost NC more , you can also spend money to catch up in the existing servers if you really want , business companies always look at incomes , not spending money on some ppl that will probably stick and pay or whale the game

That would actually be pretty nice. They currently give you a lot of gear from the story, but I do believe a seasonal server would be a lot more fun! Although I feel like the current population of the game isn’t big enough to handle multiple servers sadly..
