Why won't the velocity affect the duration of the track? Shouldn't it do that? I'm slowing the last video of a project but that should make the duration of the track longer but it won't.
Velocity is a bit of a weird one haha it does speed your video up and slow it down and you can notice this because sometimes when you create the ramps it will loop the video because it's already gone past the end point so it fills in that gap with a replay. Best thing to do is go off on the percentage for example if you want to slow the video drag the line down and use 100% as your normal baseline speed if you wanted to have a ramp or move the line up to speed the video up. Just takes some testing that's all but eventually it starts to make more sense
hey boss Can you please do a full tutorial on cut to the music with using velocity both speed up and slow down. Thanks for your great work ! I am very confused using speed ramp when I cut the scene matching to the music.
Hey, I'm on Sony Vegas pro 20 and it doesn't show the velocity line it has the check mark on Velocity yet there is no line is it different in the earlier version??
Can someone help. When ive shot 30fps. Laid it down on a 24 fps timeline and given to conform to timeline, it runs with that slight slowness. GOOD. Now when i speed up a clip im getting double frames in the final rendered video (when we pause the video). Say i shot 30fps drone shot, put it onto 24fps timeline, did conform frames so everything is prefect. But when speeding ramping, bec its taking every 5th or 10th frame for example to make the clip run faster, when the final rendered video is paused in those scenes, you can see terrible ghost imaging, ive tried different resample methods (disable, smart, force etc) no avail.
Try making everything the same fps by putting them all in a project and rendering them all at 60/30/24fps without any transitions and stuff. Then try doing velocity.
Fair point, with some videos I tend to cut out a lot of the video to make it as short as possible but now I'm starting to realise the importance of playback
Thanks for all your input on this matter. I'm really enjoying your Vegas Pro stuff. You got yourself a new subscriber.
By watching this, my montages have become so much better
nice video
idk why ur channel is dead, but everything is cool from you :D
goodluck

@@VerticDesigns Is there a way to sync the audio as well?

Place a marker where you want the beat drop then go 10 frames to the left, make a cut. That marker will be used as your last point of velocity

when i do this and i do the shift+b to preview the ramp it goes by super fast i cant even see and it doesnt look smooth
Nice simple and easy way without plugin, thanks
yup best way aha and no worries
@@VerticDesigns I'll be abusing speedramps now 😅
@@pierre2324 yeh haha

is this gonna work on magix movie studio 16/17?
Is this possible in Vegas Pro Edit? Or at least with plugins?

Hey when I activate velocity it won't show the velocity line I use svp 17 as well help!
that's strange, when you enable velocity does any pop up or does your video track change?
thank you x10000

😎👍
why if i render that video the speed ramps doesnt work anymore ?
Did you change the fps?
cool
Bro it's not showing insert or remove envelope options
It doesn’t show up in the envelopes thing
There's nothing that says Velocity?
@@VerticDesigns Maybe you use Movie Studio Platinum instead of VEGAS Pro
Why dont you play the clip and show how does what you just did looks lik, Jack?

why 5frames and 10 frames ?
It's so the first ramp is quicker than the last so it quickly speeds up and then slowly goes back down
not clean
