Great video that really helped me understand how to make velocity do what I want it to with much less of a headache. I tried using this for some of my Halo clips and it looks pretty neat. I usually only see this type of edit for COD, but I'm giving it a shot with other games too. Thanks and glhf.
12:30 I think I said this on your other velocity guide as well, but this still blows my mind that you can set the velocity points first, then adjust the clip afterwards without it ruining the rest. This was one of the reasons I hated using velocity, it seemed so tedious. Also curious, could you use just hold Alt and drag the clip to realign the shot?
13:20 You Said you got Lucky with that Shot in Sync There ... what should i do when it goes out of sync but the first shot is in Perfect Sync see ? you have to do the whole thing again but it will mess up the other syncs ;-;
you are very good at teaching, thank you as a long time editor do you know the real cause of vegas crashes? is it bad source footage like shadowplay footage with variable framerate? is it just something wrong with the pc? is 32gb of 3600mhz not enough? ryzen 3600 or my 2070 just not good enough for sapphire and other plugins? you seem experienced so i gotta ask, thanks!

@@Modz damn man, what footage do you use btw? variable framerate or constant? i found i have less crashing and better performance on ssd (using footage from ssd), most crashes would happen still though when playing back with spacebar
@@ruleset I mainly edit VBR (Variable bitrate) and constant framerate, there are also a lot of stuff that play role in the crashes, like the encoding, file type, ect..
Is there a way to get the smooth slow motion like premiere and davinci? I cant seem to find how to do it in vegas where it goes frame by frame super smooth
Sorry, but syncing the clips as the last thing is so confusing. I have no idea how to do it. That’s the only thing that stops me doing montages. Edit: I’ve just spent the past 50 mins and have now finished my velocity. It was really easy. Go experiment if your not confident. And if you think your hardware is slow, I’ve got a £65 prebuilt!

Seikojin Gaming There’s nothing called editing cleanly without messing up, your problem is that your clips are too short if the velo is getting rewinded
@@Modz Let's say you apply a 300% velocity to a clip. Though sped up, the clip duration remains the same, as it is looped. What I'm wondering is if Vegas could automatically trim the looped clip, as opposed to doing it manually.

only thing i recommend is to not ever edit cod montages in 60fps, always set the project settings to 24fps
