My mom was in the hospital & was watching an Eagles game. As she was doing the Eagles chant she flatlined. She was like E. A. G...beeeep. The drs got her back but she said that while she was gone she saw my dad & my nephew. My dad died when I was 18 months old & my nephew was hit & killed by a drunk driver when he was 10 years old. They saw the driver coming & my nephew was hit while pushing his younger brother outta the way. My mom kept saying that she's not breathing & my nephew would tell her that she can breathe here but she doesn't have to. Then my dad told her that I need her & she had to go back. @@lore_wa This is a compilation, probably they have a bunch of pre recorded items that they can put together to fit a theme and roll it out fairly easy.
This story always gets me. I knew exactly what this was about a few seconds into the video, because of Wendigoon. So sad what happened to those hard working men. I hope they are resting in peace and truly felt no pain when they left.
June 12th, 1993 I was hit by lightning. According to bystanders, I was already turning blue before they managed to give me CPR and revive me. 3 days in the ICU and 2 months before being able to return to work, I never knew that I was hit by lightning until I woke up. If you want to go out FAST and never wake up, maybe try getting hit by lightning. You will be here, and then you won't.
No matter how many times I hear about the Byford Dolphin or the Diving Bell incidents, no matter the cute or simple graphics are, or how shortened the story is, I can never get over how horrifying it really is
Pain takes alot less than .03 seconds to travel through your nerves to your brain, so they definitely didn't die painlessly... They may not have felt alot, but they definitely felt pain...
@KhapitaL I knew, obviously it's a quick message for your brain, but for some reason I still bit my thumb 4x after reading your comment to actually 'feel' how quick 🤣
There was also a woman who had her parachutes fail, she went spiraling toward a parking lot and hit it so hard in her face that several bones broke and she lost lots of teeth - but she lived to tell the tale.
@jbzhummerh2gamer my cousins wife had a failed skydive. Parachute failed to deploy and she fell 4000ft. Passed out in the air and woke up in the hospital with a few broken ribs
Something tells me this wasn’t painless.. I don’t care how fast it went. The brain is mysterious and diabolical. I bet that .16 seconds felt like a lifetime to those people.
55:10 onwards, you also missed out slum housing also was reduced due to the fire and that is where most of plague was rampant. Thank you for touching the body lice (like headlice) was also a massive factor in how it spread. Once they laid eggs in clothes that was sent out of London, if they didn't boil the clothes, these plague mites would hatch and the spread continued. These eggs was able to serve more than a year before dying. Most of the lower and middle classes didn't change all their clothes (bottom layer mainly which had skin contact) and due to this the body mites was rampant in their straw beds which served though the day. For those who want more information channel 4 (uk tv) did a really good series about it! 😊
@KingDingaLing222 This video is history and didn't include all the facts. Sometimes it's nice to have a full understanding and picture, seeming as everyday learning something new is great. You should try it. Last time I checked no-one actually asked for your dumb and wasted comment... Man.
The nursery rhyme is Ashes, ashes, we all fall down. I have never heard of a tissue a tissue and I'm 65 years old. (There were no tissues in the 1300 to 1700's I truly don't believe). The rhyme was ashes talking about how the people's faces and body's looked after having the plague. That is my understanding but I certainly can stand corrected if I am wrong. I would certainly love to know. Thank you.
I think this should have had more research, they dont stay in the bell to decompress, they do that on the ship. There are a lot of just, basic facts that are wrong in this that make its just, confusingly frustrating to listen to as someone with a basic awareness of how sat diving actually operates

Didn’t watch the video but I just wanna know why you put a guy screaming in pain in the vid shot if you say all these are painless and quick? 0.16 seconds I think you said
56:46: There's absolutely no evidence that the nursery rhyme 'ring-a-ring-a-roses' had anything to do with the plague. The line 'a tissue, a tissue, we all fall down' has absolutely nothing to do with people falling down dying. I don't know where you got that fact from, given that it just isn't true at all. You might want to edit that part of the video, given that it's not factually correct, as there is no evidence whatsoever to support the theory that it has anything to do with the bubonic plague.
