I find that when I get down to the end of a fishtail, instead of that over hand knot, I do a half-hitch on each side, Pull it tight and then Snip and singe. It's a much more secure ending. :)

What is a half-hitch? I’m teaching my students how to do this, but I didn’t like the other video for the ending. It was sticking out. Thank you! (This video is great). 👍🏾

Awesome tutorial!! Excellent, and detailed instructions. I have always wanted a little more information regarding the clasp. While I have already completed several, fairly complicated braclets, the initial tying to the clasp, was a little confusing. You totally cleared up all my questions. I will be looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks.

Great instructions with great details! Thanks for keeping your thumb out of the way too. I have made these before but it has been a long time so I forgot the beginning and needed a refresher. this was easy, did not expects that, made mine just now, its now finished and looks good, im happy with it, though i used good quality lace from tracky bottoms, did the same job and melts ok, i avoided using the flat lace, a nice round lace does the trick, it doesnt twist as much, i used same coulor lace, i like that look
    thanks bro, great videos

I recently made a two color bracelet as per these instructions. Very easy to follow. The only difference that I did was after I got my measurement for the proper size I used a piece of wire tie to hold the paracord in place at on end. Made this assembly so much easier. Thank you for the video. I will be making many more!

Awesome video. Love the way you explain things. I'm new to Paracord crafts. So far I made couple Solomon knot bracelets and couple chain link bracelets. Still needs more work lol. A question I have is if you have a 6 inch wrist, how do you calculate how much paracord you need? That's one of the issues I have. Thanks again for a great tutorial!

But i prefer these more slim designs so its unfortunate that it needs a buckle. it is possible to know the length of paracord needed for a 8 inch wrist? (finished with buckles)

TheBertuls I think for an 8 inch wrist, it would take about 9.5 or maybe 10 feet, but that depends on how tightly fit you want the bracelet.

This bracelet uses roughly 1 foot of paracord per inch of bracelet. So if you include the core of the bracelet I'd say about 9-10 feet.

Where do you get your paracords from? I especially like the maroon/wine red one

That's a great tutorial, but may I ask you how much do you tighten the strands when you say "pull tightly"? I'm afraid I tightened them too much and now the bracelet is as hard as wood. :D Maybe I should loosen it up? Thanks!

***** I tighten all of my bracelets as much as I can. Over time, I have found that they seem to loosen up.

***** Pull tightly, but not to the point of deforming the bracelet. But yeah, don't tighten to the point where it's as hard as wood. lol!

Have you ever thought of using a binder clip at the top to hold your starting length so nothing slips then weave? You could hang it from a hook and it would be less cumbersome to weave then and maintain tension. Cool look to the fishtail.

For sure! I use all sorts of binder clips and things to keep bracelets and projects together. Thanks for watching and commenting!
