- Fairfield is one of the most diverse multicultural cities in Australia. More than half the residents were born overseas, mostly in non-English speaking countries.

Very well done
Thanks for leaving the comment. It’s brief but what has delighted us is that you have four people who agree with you. May it increase in number. Do please read our other comments on this page.
A very interesting presentation of the City of Fairfield. I have no family or personal connection the area, but still found it interesting and fascinated by its history and how it has been kept in parts, for the younger persons to appreciate and understand how things where done in the 'Good Old Days'. Many thanks.
Like yourself we have no connection with Fairfield, apart from taking at least one grandson to Calmsley farm and on a couple of times, groups of Senior Citizens to see both farm and historic buildings. It may be one of success stories, we say so little about, so many people from all over the world getting together and creating a community that includes everyone, and not forgetting the Australian past.
Beautifully and perfectly said. It reminds me of one of my favorite song that is perfectly describes us all who are 'fair dinkum' and love the place we live , sung by the by The Seekers, I am, you are, we are all Australian.@@stpeterscooksriver1873
Its funny but i used to work in fairfield, live in horskey park , i even bught two motorcycles at different times in fairfield, but i cannot for the life of me remeber much about fairfield at all. Many thanks for this video, ill try and piece together those Lost years.
Thanks for your comment. You’re like many of our viewers, they no longer live in the suburb they’re watching a video on. Some are trying to piece together what their parents or even grandparents told them about the suburb they used to live in. I’m the male voice on the video, and I came out here from England in 1974. I did spend a little time viewing videos of the area I was born in. I can recognise very little of what I remember. Sadly one local soccer club, non-league, no longer has the same ground. As for cars driving at speed or drones, that film videos, I can make no sense of it. Give yourself a challenge write it down! Thanks for your comment, the Creator thoroughly enjoyed making the video of Fairfield City.
Grew up in fairf l remember Cambridge house a beautiful old colonial mansion it's a pub now
I want to commend, Fairfield City Museum and Gallery to all schools in the Sydney area who have pupils doing “History Stages 1 and 2 , that is children in years one and two. Indeed families which have children in that age grouping may equally well benefit. Their document, available on line Fairfield City Museum and Gallery, “Living the Past,” a teachers information pack, is a comprehensive guide to how you should plan a trip to the Museum, and covers what you should be doing in the classroom prior to and after your visit. It also covers a variety of challenges, now part of the education system, such as “risk assessment.” The clarity of the document is remarkable in this day and age. If you read nothing else this year, dear parent or teacher read, mark and inwardly digest this one!
