New Haven has the best pizza in the USA. No question. Pepe's clam pie is delicious and Sally's is phenomenal. You can't overlook Modern or Zuppardi's either.
I think New Haven has the best pizza in the entire world, including anywhere in Italy! Thats how good it is.
So happy you’re in New Haven! I used to live in Connecticut, worked in New Haven, living in Dublin now. Sally’s is the best in the city in my opinion, but I encourage you to check out Zuppardi’s in West Haven. Enjoy!!! 🍕
Frank Pepe white clam pizza is a religious experience. Flavour bomb. Eye opener. Most moreish food ever.
Pepe's changed a bit since Gary passed away. Pizza looks so different than when I used to have it. I would have recommended their Margherita pie instead. It's a two cheese, more tomato sauce, way more tastier.

The US is phenomenal for customer service people are always lovely there. Great review Matt and Callum on your way to 100k and deserve it top channel.
He did everything right almost HAHAHA, birch beer!!!! Clam with bacon and cherry peppers, pie with mooz (and sausage and onion) definitely the best. Sally's, Modern, they all are good but Pepe's is my place!!!

Good job. I think if you came back a couple of times that score would bump into the 9s. One thing though, you've got to have a sausage pie at these places. The area sausage is unbelievable.
I’m agreeing with you there , adding sausage at Pepe’s is a must and mushrooms to it, it’s a just the combo that works so well.
I would have tried them in the reverse order starting with the more subtle flavored clam pie first.
Modern is the best, but Pepe's is the most popular. Legend has it Frank Sinatra once had a Pepe's pizza flown out to him in Las Vegas.

Sally's. The Frank P then Modern. I'm from Pittsburgh PA. Drive there 2 times a year for the BEST PIZZA in the world !!!! Second to Johns on Bleecker. Stop there on the way to CT. Their pie rules too !!!!!
I must travel to New Heaven. I've heard there's a place in Arizona that really good too. Pizza Bianchi. Netflix Pizza Table show featured the restaurant on the show.

Our servers are supposed to be nice/accommodating- their pay depends on it. Translation: since there’s no tipping culture in Europe, service is shate.

That is without a doubt the greasiest plain pie I have ever seen; I've seen pepperoni pizza's as greasy, and ive never seen the paper under a pie literally saturated with grease, and the dudes hand covered in oil like he just dipped it into a bowl of olive oil.....and after just one slice!

Treated like dirt in many take aways in UK. Many fall by the wayside due to hygiene problems. Here by MERTHYR TYDFIL, you see as low as one or two rating. Make a fast buck and run is the attitude.

American service is better but you pay for it through tips. The staff is underpaid, that's why they're overly friendly.

Not really ive worked hospitality in both countries. Pay was similar people just tipped better. If you want to look at poorly treated workers look closer to home

Newhaven pizza is crap! I'm from NYC and I know pizza. I've been to Pepe's and it's disgusting. People from Ct just don't know pizza. I've heard you guys love Domino's too. Lmao
