Yup, the recoil spring assembly came apart. Mine did too. Two of them, actually. The gun functions fine with an uncaptive spring, it's just a B!TCH getting it back together. DPM makes an aftermarket part that doesn't break. I may grab one. Another thing... If the washer isn't placed properly in the spring tunnel before assembly, the un-captive spring can bind. Maybe that's what was happening on the first mag? But as long as the spring bears against the washer when you put it together, it will function exactly the same even with the broken spring unit.
I have the P210 Target and it's great. The design is better than a 1911 in my opinion. Ask your buddy if he has a Sig P232. They are no longer made. It's a slimmer, trimmer, sexier version of the Walther PPK. Though it's only a 380, it's highly accurate given its fixed barrel, blow-back design--and while it feels great in large hands (unlike most 380 mouse guns), you can put it in your pocket if you're a bigger guy, preferably in a kydex holster. They are easily the most beautiful Sig gun given their elegant profile. If your bud is a real Sig guy, he will know this.
Hi Bob, cool channel, gold and pistols is a unique channel combination. I like both. I grew up in Neuhausen at the Rhinefall, where SIG was founded and I worked at SIG. During apprenticeship 92-96 I worked also in the gun manufacturing division, where the pistols and our Swiss "Sturmgewehr 90" the SIG550 was produced at that time (don't know if it's still produced there). There was an underground shooting channel to test the SIG550s, I knew the guy, who tested every single one. 2018, when we were in Alaska, I could shoot with guns of a ex US special forces guy, a good friend of mine. My favorite was the Glock 20 10mm (you can see it briefly in my "pull the trigger" video)... I'm looking forward to see more of your videos! Take care and have a great day, Schwendi
posted December 31, 2019 05:46 AM I have a P210 and shortly after I got it the captured recoil spring came apart, I called Sig CS and they promptly sent me a new one, gun is fine now. However a friend of mine called me yesterday and told me his P210 captured recoil rod also came apart, which I told him to call Sig and they would take care of him. Now the question, is this problem the weak link in the P210, and more importantly will this problem happen again? Has anyone else experienced this?

best sig ever made
It was truly a pleasure to shoot. Thanks
@@bobspistolsandpaydirt8607 Same thing I said just before I bought mine..."Like butter!".
Really like my P210. It looks like your captive recoil spring came apart.
This model is not a captive spring
@@bobspistolsandpaydirt8607 thought all p210 American made are captive. Mine is. Early on lot of them came apart.
