I feel like im always late to the comment section but here i am: Vinxen suffers from a lot of depression and social anxieties. He has attempted to end his life before, which is his root of where he writes his music. His mom owns a grocery store. Haon on the other hand is very optimistic (this b meditates as a hobby and literally everyone grilled his ass for it lmfao) so he likes to keep a positive look on things. This creates a fantastic dynamic between the two of them. They compare their lives to a barcode because the black is to represent the negatives and the white is to represent the positives. Where one person is comparing their happiness to just a flash of the light, the other is comparing to having the flash be a highlight to all the other great things that are going on. Both of these gentlemen have strong power when they rap and when they come together its even greater. There is no wonder as to how they are such close friends. I think Haon is a very profound rap artist...his messages are generally optimistic...he is very much into meditation and trying to clear out the negative energy of life..he focuses on positivity...however Vinxen is the dark or negative side of the spectrum...now what I THINK.that what they're both talking about may go a lot deeper...possibly darker than just "STORE BARCODES" I believe it is more existential..but the barcode analogy is very good because human beings are born with birth certificates...those birth certificates are attached to social security number which is a barcode...when we are born are government buys us...we become property of the government...most people don't know this until late in life...once you purchase an item in a store or buy a car or anything... once you are out of the place of purchase...that or those items begin to depreciate.... immediately begins to lose it's value...items in any and all stores are mass produced and have the same barcode...however if you think of yourself as an item and you are selected to be purchased then you're considered special because you've been chosen while "OTHER ITEMS" sit on the shelves waiting to be selected ,bought or chosen...from the human mind / being perspective everything in life is fleeting and uncertain...so we should !ive for the now ,find happiness and let our light shine in this life instead of wondering what the future holds.....Vinxen is the dark side of that conversation.that they're having..like a mirror image of one another....his optimism is bleek, he doesn't have faith in the/ his future... I feel like im always late to the comment section but here i am: Vinxen suffers from a lot of depression and social anxieties. He has attempted to end his life before, which is his root of where he writes his music. His mom owns a grocery store. Haon on the other hand is very optimistic (this b meditates as a hobby and literally everyone grilled his ass for it lmfao) so he likes to keep a positive look on things. This creates a fantastic dynamic between the two of them. They compare their lives to a barcode because the black is to represent the negatives and the white is to represent the positives. Where one person is comparing their happiness to just a flash of the light, the other is comparing to having the flash be a highlight to all the other great things that are going on. Both of these gentlemen have strong power when they rap and when they come together its even greater. There is no wonder as to how they are such close friends. What one person lacks the other makes up for.

basically Vinxen incorporates his depression into his songs trying to show that even in the “best case scenario” not everyone is happy. this song specifically he’s saying that while looking at the barcode it reminds him of the cuts that reside on his right wrist that he inflicted onto himself and that the light that comes or that ‘bit of happiness’ is Noah because Noah is what brings Vinxen happiness and joy.
please react to How Do You Feel by Vinxen. this song truly shows how he feels daily. he talks about his depression while continuously asking things like “Mom my friend who isn’t a drop out like me ranked high.. How Do You Feel?” “Mom, you have a high-school-dropout-son living in your home with a daughter who goes to Seoul University... How Do you Feel?” he even goes on to ask “People who’re listening to my song, How was your day and now how do you feel?” after the official itunes release of this song he did an Instagram live explaining that everything he talked about in this song is “just a part 1 of explaining my sorrow” and later goes on to explain that this song shows his struggles and how HE feels.

He was one of the few rappers in recent years that have used their music to talk about depression, which I think by now you've figured out is a taboo. He's such a strong boy. I hope you'll listen to more of his music. He's recently decided that he wants to move past being known as the "depressed rapper guy." Also the live video from hsr2 on mnet has lyrics that are easier to understand. And you'll be able to see the really amazing connection between Haon and Vinxen. They've said how they complete each other because of their opposite personalities. This song/performance was the first time they performed together and really shows their friendship well.
I know it's hard to watch stuff from mnet, but I really hope you'll watch their live performances. Even in your own free time, off camera. I highly recommend High School Rapper, both seasons, the kids on their are so good. Most of the top 10 make it big and dominate the khh scene for awhile. I think Haon is a very profound rap artist...his messages are generally optimistic...he is very much into meditation and trying to clear out the negative energy of life..he focuses on positivity...however Vinxen is the dark or negative side of the spectrum...now what I THINK.that what they're both talking about may go a lot deeper...possibly darker than just "STORE BARCODES" I believe it is more existential..but the barcode analogy is very good because human beings are born with birth certificates...those birth certificates are attached to social security number which is a barcode...when we are born are government buys us...we become property of the government...most people don't know this until late in life...once you purchase an item in a store or buy a car or anything... once you are out of the place of purchase...that or those items begin to depreciate.... immediately begins to lose it's value...items in any and all stores are mass produced and have the same barcode...however if you think of yourself as an item and you are selected to be purchased then you're considered special because you've been chosen while "OTHER ITEMS" sit on the shelves waiting to be selected ,bought or chosen...from the human mind / being perspective everything in life is fleeting and uncertain...so we should !ive for the now ,find happiness and let our light shine in this life instead of wondering what the future holds.....Vinxen is the dark side of that conversation.that they're having..like a mirror image of one another....his optimism is bleek, he doesn't have faith in the/ his future... Haon appreciates the stumbling blocks that he's endured because it helped him to grow... he also learned from people who paved the way for him....they both touched on many different aspects..but in the end it all comes back to being a massed produced item with the same barcode...some items will make it out of the store and some will just sit on the shelves waiting... collecting dust..

I've heard more music from Haon than I have from Vinxen since he is on H1ghr Music it would have been nice if Jay Park would have signed Vinxen to H1ghr Music with Haon. Jay Park actual had Vinxen perform with Haon at one of his concerts, I believe it was this song. Jay Park loves to support new artists regardless of what label they are on.
