Just a tip for everyone so you don't waste products testing colors, I laminate a plain white piece of printer paper and sublimate on that to test my sublimation prints.

Wow, thank you so much, I was so depressed that the colors for my new Epson ET 15000 were so off. Now, it looks as good as my Epson F170 sublimation printer.
I have recently got epson F170. but the colors seems kind of off. even in the print preview it seems different colour than my photoshop design. Can you please help me in this? and all these setting to tweak the colours as shown in this tutorial is not showing up in my printer preferences. am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Is it necessary to change color preferences each image you decide to sublimate? Also are you using cricut or silhouette thank you so much
First I don’t print from design space or silhouette I use Inkscape. Second yes adjusting your colors is typically done for all images.

I have the Epson et-2720 and do not have an option in the media type for presentation paper matte. It only has Epson matte... all the other options are some form of glossy, or Epson photo quality ink jet, or envelope. On the printer itself, in the settings it does list presentation matte, but does not list the epson matte. Is there a way to get the presentation paper matte into a choice for settings in the program in which I am printing from?
Try reinstalling your print drivers but honestly it he presentation paper matte should work fine

No. I don’t use an ICC. And no you don’t need to use that for sublimation

Hey I have a question I got my sublimation printer yesterday I got an ecotank 2800 with hippo ink and I went to do a pink pumpkin and it turned out Orange do you have any suggestion on how to fix that?
You may need to turn the yellow down

You need to up the magenta and possibly lower the yellow

To get my colors right I have the epson8550 I tried to follow but I don’t have the same settings you were using . Helppppppp
You likely did not install your drivers fully go to the epson site and install the printer drivers
So helpful I struggled with my color settings

Usually when black turns brown it’s because you are overheating it

What kind of paper do you use to print the picture on?
For sublimation you use sublimation paper. This is done with Starcraft brand

No. Any color on your shirt will effect the color of your image.

How come when I change the paper type to premium presen paper matte it does let me change custom advanced settings when I go to more options

If your gray is causing issues it may be a contrast issue or something in the cyan/blue area. You’ll need to play around with the settings and test it out to find the right setting

How often do you clean the ink heads?
It really depends on how often you print. If I don’t print for two weeks I have to clean them

Hi Corrine, my printer Epson 2720 recently did an update and now it is printing the previous print, without me requesting two prints of the same print. I have to turn off the printer to stop this process, I have wasted several sublimation paper. Do you have a recommendation on how I can remove the updated version?
Find the printer software in your control panel and uninstall it

So how do you set the black? My black prints are more of a grayish black, not a true dark black.
You may need to do some of the head and nozzle cleanings and you may need to turn down your brightness. Keep in mind your blacks won’t be dark black until pressed
How do you get all those options?
They are under you printer preferences. If you do not have these options your drivers were not installed correctly so you will need to reinstall your printer drivers

If you mean the printer settings it is likely because you printer drivers have not been installed correctly. Head over to your printer manufacturers website and look up the drivers for your printer and reinstall them
Hi Glad I found you have nearly fixed my issues, but how do I get blue to come blue more Iam up ro 6 already, I printed a rainbow and other colours are great, but green and blue nearly the same.
You will want to try adjusting the other colors down a bit while adjusting the blue up a bit

@@jacqualinedowler9722 I don’t like the ICC profiles I don’t think they do a great job. Are you making sure you’re using the Adobe RGB?

I'm not looking for sublimation on my 2400, I don't even really know what that is, but my prints aren't coming out accurately colored.
This would still apply to non sublimation as well you need to play with the print settings try also doing a print head cleaning
Hi can you tell me why my black comes up brown and grey is blue. Used for mugs on a mug press.
Sounds like you are burning them. Black turns brown when overheated

When i click printing preferences it doesn't give me options to click more options it just comes up as layout! I've been trying to do this for months and i just cant do it
You need to reinstall your printer drivers. They were not fully installed
Can you explain how you would print a black dog? The picture is of her on a brown couch and she didn’t hardly show up after sublimating on a tumbler. It’s like she’s not there if that makes sense.
For this playing with the brightness and contrast on the photo before you even get to printing it helps. Check out canva their photo editing is really easy to use.

Should be fairly similar but I don’t have a Mac so I have no clue
My epson F170 doesn't have those options and my colors are off 😢 when I print to my regular printer it's perfect but not on my sub printer
Sublimation prints look dull before you press them but if you don’t have a lot of options you may not have installed your drivers correctly. So go to the epson site and reinstall your drivers
same issue here.
when I'm at file and print on Inkscape I don't get all those options at all, my version looks completely different and less options, any suggestions?
You need to fully install the drivers for your printer. When you installed it likely that step cut off short. Go to your printer manufacturer website and search for your model drivers.
@CorinneBlackstone I have the most recent driver downloaded on my Mac, I got a epson 8550 printer. I just doubled check & got everything from what's available. This is confusing 😕

What printer are you using? The link goes to the 2720 You did a 4700 setup video Are you still using it and what are your thoughts on the 4700?
I use a st 4000 actually for this which I couldn’t find in stock anywhere but the set up is the same for both printers and I don’t see a print difference in the two I have three printers et 2720 and the et 4700 as well

My first print looks faded like how the paper to the left looks. I have a espon wrkforce
You print will always look faded. The ink will brighten once you press the design

I'm confused, you told us what to enter into "custom" sliders, then chose a different preset. Why?
Because that adjust the color output of your printer
My blue 💙 is printing purple 💜 please help!
You may need to turn your magenta down a bit but also turn the cyan up. also be sure you are not over heating and burning the design.

my only problem i see is that my red ink is coming out yellow. I just noticed it last night .
