      Thank you! Well, I had a hard time finding it in the states. I will give the link below, but I will say that someone on the IOD Creative Tribe group page shared with me that Folk Art makes a moss effect product. She didn’t know, however, if it reacts the same by puffing up when heated. Here is the link...

      Thank you! If you will scroll the comments and replies, you will see a discussion about the moss and a link. It’s an international product and I couldn’t find in the states, but there is an American made product that MAY do the same thing. 👍🏻

    Great video! Thank you for sharing your work. Would you mind sharing where you got the metal spatula you used to remove the excess clay from the mold? It looks like it works really well.

      Thank you very much! Those are called Japan scrapers and are used to apply Venetian plaster in very thin coats. I had them from my years of faux finishing back in the day.

      Thank you! The mould is Iron Orchid Designs Trimmings mould #1. If you go to their website, you can click on a dealer near you.

    Absolutely love this...
    Wondering where did you get the transfer
    Thank you ....also what did you use to seal it....

    • @designsbyJ
      @designsbyJ  2 года назад

      This is an Iron Orchid Design transfer. On their website you can find a Stockist near you, or an online store near you. Any sealer will work, but I used a water based sealer called Polyvine. I also use Amy Howard’s matte sealer and Dixie Belle’s satin sealer. You can even use a spray sealer.

    Do you let the clay dry or glue it on the can wet

    • @designsbyJ
      @designsbyJ  2 года назад +1

      The cans are not flat or smooth, so the clay needs to be glued on before it dries. Plus I wrapped the clay at the bottom edge around the the whole can. That’s not possible if it dries. 👍🏻

    tin can. where did you find your clay stencil

    • @designsbyJ
      @designsbyJ  2 года назад

      I’m not sure what you mean; there was no stencil used. Both the transfer and the mould listed in the video are Iron Orchid Designs products. If you google the company, there will be a link to click on to find the nearest Stockist in your area or the nearest online store. 👍🏻
