Using total reboiler isn't adviced as it increases reboiler duty as more steam needed. Besides it doesn't provide seperation. It also increases load on tray
We can use partial condenser depending upon the situation. We have to consider economics as one of factors here two components of cost are bcoz of cooling duty and handling cost. Vapor produced as product by partial condenser is more costly and tough to store and handle in comparison to a liquid product. If our cooling costs are particularly high (expensive coolant liquid) or we need a vapour product or we have a non condensable component we use partial condenser . Hope it's clear
Very nicely explained sir 👏
Sir ur teaching skill is amazing and ur concept is tooo goood for me thanks for here ...

Sir pls make a video on how to find no of ideal stages using mccabe theile method on a graph
Will surely make one, once the lockdown is over

What about a partial condenser and total reboiler?
No... just no...
It will be a disaster

Sir what if we use total reboiler and partial condenser...Is that possible?

from 11:59 is wrong its N,N-1 and N-2.
thanku.
No,
the Number of stages required would be N, N+1, N+2 only, where N denotes the No of Ideal Trays.
You are right, in case if they are partial the are considered stages but not tray plates.
Sir but we use partial reboiler and total condensers as default
Yes

Ideal stages means theoretical stages?
Ideal stages means actual stages?
theoretical stages
Ideal stage, theroretical stage, equlibrium stage are same.....
