Trinidad needs to stay clean and stand up to the government they need to fix the roads. Trinidad was so beautiful but now the place looks so terrible when you visit. Yes I agree with the new building codes.

Roads around us are getting some form of repairs... Munroe rd, bejucal rd etc. What about the users of ramlal trace and ajodha rd, we don't have rights too?! Is this what representation of the people mean? To have the people in ur area suffering like this?!

I live in Madras Rd...right at that corner. The flood was just terrible. Lots of cleaning up. But some people are still speeding through the waters....that is annoying
Trinidad and Tobago people know that littering is wrong and causes flooding but some make it a political football.. Some people willfully litter to embarrass the Corporation or Government. What is it profiting them? Not until they are personally affected would they stop. Sometime they are outsiders or malicious burgesses. It is very sad and troubli9ng
People helping others making sure you are ok and safe and being respectful of each other, in times of need. Why can't people do the exact same thing when times are good? Do you have an answer?
Another drainage problem in Trinidad if only Trinidad citizens would stop plugging up their sewer system with garbage perhaps they wouldn't have these problems. Plastic bottles, KFC containers and other garbage doesn't belong in the sewer system!!!
But I thought that the Minister of work said that he spend 50 millions dollars to clean up the drains and all the other things so what happen what they really clean.
I will say when u lived in a low line must get flood if the river is over top where you want the water to go if the land over soat what you think will happen
I have news for u sir... The citizens have been taking responsibility for the last 5 years especially in the Warren/Bejucal area, where we have no representation, because this same goodly councillor is never available to provide any assistance to our district! All of a sudden he surfaces and pretending to be a savior?! If u look at the condition of our main rd Ramlal trace. It is filled with enormous potholes causing exorbitant damages to our vehicles. All the roads in close proximity Munroe rd, Bejucal Rd etc are being repaired... So what? Warren rd and Ajodha road users are not citizens of this country too?
So what we can say. We couldn't avoid the flooding because we didn't expected the rain .? Or are we totally forgotten how to build cities with drainage? Bad , bad city planners. Someone should get accoutible for the planners getting paid millions for a shity work they do. It is everywhere the same situation . In many countries of the world. We can predict something only in theory , because when something happening for real , we somehow oblivious what could been done. Someone got greedy , and intentionally builded cities in the areas where the flood could be predicted to take place wasn't. Someone didn't do them homework.

Illegal housing developments, no clearing of rivers and terrible box drains. The Govt has wasted billions on meaningless projects so corruption plays a major role in neglect which causes flooding.

Is it the PNM demanding the Lord to send rain, is it the PNM throwing mattresses, old stove, KFC boxes, plastic bottles in the waterways here. Is it the PNM building on the riverbanks. Besides some Trinis who are partly responsible for the flooding problem here, maybe you are not seeing what's happening worldwide???

All that oil money Trinidad had and they failed to build proper drainage. Now it's too late because Trinidad is broke.

They need flood pools
Rivers need to be curvy. But flood pools are need to collect the heavy rain fall and it help ground water

The PNM didn't back fill the lands and build apartments, didn't the owners of those buildings know that there was no where for the water to go
