Did I ever tell you the story, of HK-47 the wise? He was an intelligent robot, whose tactics a young apprentice studied to use one day.
who studied him
Sheevy boy was taking notes
He was an assassin droid so powerful and so wise, he could use tactics to kill... Jedi. He had such a knowledge of assassination protocols that he could even keep the targets he cared about... from living. He grew so powerful that the only thing he feared was losing his chances to kill, which eventually, of course, he didn't. Unfortunately, he taught his master everything he knew, then his master left and he continued to be the greatest assassin droid in the history of the galaxy.
@@barstokians365 Lol.
To be honest I wouldn't put it past Palpatine to have his memory core stored in some vault that he reviews every so often lol.

UPDATE CONFIRMED.
What's more interesting: Kotor II came out before Revenge of the Sith
Goes to show how well obsidian used to write their games. Came up with the idea so George Lucas didn’t have too lol. I mean probably not, I’m sure order 66 was storyboarded back in 99 when the phantom menace came out, but still it’s a great little tid bit of dialogue. Same with Kreia telling you how the republic and will slowly diminish over time before being wiped out entirely and becoming something else entirely. Which is a cool nod to the original trilogy that’s like thousands of years separated from the old republic storylines.
its pretty much already established lore in ANH that jedi already extinct (right after clone wars) and basically wiped and old ben is the only one survivor. so no, its not original idea of obsidian.
@@princeofsomnia7664 right but back in 77 when the original trilogy started they didn’t even know what the hell a clone was lol. I mean MAYBE George did because it was his idea but there’s no concept art, or even attempts at depicting what order 66 even was back then. The only information we had was the order was destroyed shortly after the clone wars concluded and in the aftermath of the war the empire rose up and took control of the galaxy.
So yes the lore is there the context however isn’t, and HK giving you said context of how the Jedi could be destroyed before revenge of the sith is even released is just undeniably good writing from obsidian. It’s a really cool moment.
It is not confirmed, but possible, that someone at Obsidian knew about it while making the game. Or simply they just thought it is something, that should work, and added the dialogue. I mean the overwhelming force is sounding like an obvious choice to me.
@@sergiomendoza4850 Lucas was said to have planned multiple saga's, Order 66 likely didnt exist in 77, but what did exist is the fact that the Jedi were mostly whiped out while the empire rose to power. Not far fetched to guess the way they were defeated.
As an assassin droid knowing your target is half the job, and while served Revan i believe, that HK studied the means of killing jedi, or might even did it sometimes. Ironically some of them are not working on sith so well. For example the overwhelming odds are far less effective against a Sith, because they are more willing to attack with the force. Also the turn against their own is something the Sith is always expecting so no surprise on that front either.
Still turning on their own can easily end Sith. We see it time and time again.
@@CountryLifestyle2023 True, but it is not nearly as shocking for them as for a jedi.
@Akula Doctor Not as shocking but still effective.
Difference is, they will know it will happen eventually and not be dramatic about it as much.
Compare that to hoe Obi Wan took Cody betraying him.
Small difference but still there
The biggest problem force users face against overwhelming numbers is the fact the force requires concentration which makes the comic panels of Vader killing an entire army so stupid and lore breaking
@@some_shitposting_idiot3023 I didn't read any of the comics but I mean since it's Vader I could see him using all that anger
as a motivator, channeling pure hatred into every Attack. But he's a big dumb plot man. TBH It may also come down to the Individual writer's interpretation of a character, which is maybe even more ignorant. Writer bias is why 40K fiction is bonkers wacko.
Considering how this info is coming from hk-47, Order 66 was the most efficient way to deal with a jedi at mass.
Comes to show how Palpatine was truly efficient, ruthless, and smart.
I find it quite possible, that the old Sith studied HK-47's memory. The droid was built by one of the smartest person in the galaxy, and was known to be one of the most efficient assassin ever created. With the rule of 2 it became obvious, that the Sith will not be able to just hunt down the jedi by themselves. They needed an army to do that for them.
Inquiry: The Jedi all died?
Statement: Sounds like a skill issue
Part of what made Order 66 so efficient was not only was it the surprise betrayal by their own troops but how level-headed and aggression-free the clone troopers were while doing it. No real strong emotions or thoughts. Just good soldiers, following orders.
He didn't predict the PAIN WE'D FEEL SEEING THE CLONES TURN INTO BAD GUYS
Pfft.
They're literally Stormtroopers.
Nazis.
At the end of Episode 2 they even play the Imperial March as they form up.
Considering this game came out in 2004, a year before ROTS, this is a pretty cool potential easter egg.
Palpatine: "Commander, coconut mall them."
A hundred attackers all firing at once, or close allies?
Sidious: How about both? Both is good.

And the best bit? KOTOR II came out before Revenge of the Sith did.

@@yuri_the_bomb1223 It’s true because this game came out before Revenge of the Sith 😂

That music completely changes the context of Order 66. This has to be the soundtrack put on palpatines supercut of the footage.

Yes I am aware.
But it did happen, so he predicted it. Don’t be dense.
@@AManNamedHawk no he didn't
@@AManNamedHawk technically not, he did not directly state that it would happen, and thus didnt predict it. had he said it would happen then he would have.
@ChloroDude I agree.
One of the genius parts of how Order 66 went down was that it occurred all across the galaxy at the same time. Most Jedi couldnt figure out what was happening from sensing the other Jedi dying until it was too late, probably the only reason Yoda survived was because the clones who were meant to take him out were late.
Red Harvest, that’s all I can say when hearing “HK” and “statement:”
Probably helped that the Jedi at the time were not as powerful as the ones during the Old Republic Era, with some exceptions of course.
Actually, the current republic was the strongest the order had ever been. The Jedi council was at their ultimate height in power. Kit Fisto, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Yoda, Anakin Skywalker, Saesee Tin... They were the best duelists the order had and Yoda, Mace, Anakin and Plo Koon were the strongest force users on the council.
@@Big_Bulli and yet they had lost so many force powers/abilities. In both KOTOR 1 and 2 the Jedi Order is called' The pure heart of a cancerous and corrupt Republic' (not word for word as both games use different sentences to say the same thing. I believe it's said by Canderous and big sphere robot thing) but by the Prequel era the Order is called as being just as corrupt.
Imagine how much more dangerous the Jedi would have been during The Clone Wars if they had access to "Destroy Droid" and "Force Heal", and i'm certain there were other abilities that would have also been incredibly useful. In KOTOR 1 you see the Jedi strike team using both abilities in the last mission (well I did anyway) and I believe they are used in KOTOR 2 at some point by non-partymember Jedi. As for Force Heal, if the Jedi had access to it then there would be no need for Jedi to ever use Bacta and Clone wounded wouldn't really need that much of it either. The Prequel era Jedi can 'convince' their bodies to heal faster than natural but that isn't the same thing. Fixing a broken arm in 1 week as compared to nearly instant sort of deal.
The biggest problem is how do you compare Force Abilities and Lightsaber skills between people thousands of years apart? We can confirm (sort of) that the Old Republic Jedi had a greater access to Force Abilities, but after that? Kit Fisto and Saesee die to Sideous like chumps, its pretty embarrassing really, and Vader wipes the floor with Anakin in all contests (except with who has more natural bodies I guess) despite having less than 1/10th of his potential.
Personally I like to think the Order in the Prequel era had become a shadow of what it was during the Old Republic. Makes Order 66 more tragic to me, but also a chance for the Jedi to be reforged into something new and great again. After all, once something has been a certain way for a long time, changing it fundamentally becomes nearly impossible without causing serious, potentially irreversible, damage. It also makes Jedi Masters being slaughtered with ease make much more sense since they've slacked in their training and their opponent hasn't.
@@marcusromulus5646 Saesee Tin did die like a chump in both the movies and novel. However, Fisto in the novels actually held his ground with Mace despite being at a form disadvantage (7th form being his worst counter possible to form 3) and only died when Anakin showed up and distracted him. Yeah, he still died and was considered a loss, but he wasn't what the movie portrayed. He really was considered one of the best duelists the order ever had, and was considered THE form 3 master.
@@Big_Bulli I forgot Kit Fisto lasted longer in the Book. Although Fisto was a Master of Form 1 not 3. Form 1 has only 2 weaknesses. Those being its pretty basic so there's very little in sophisticated strikes to catch the opponent off guard. The other being practically Everyone is taught Form 1, so everyone knows Form 1's moveset making it extremely predictable.
Master of Form 3 was Obi Wan. Form 1 was Fisto, Form 2 was Dooku, Form 4 was Yoda, Anakin/Plo koon shared Form 5 since they used both versions and Form 6 either had no official Master or it was that Jedi who attempts to attack Dooku after Mace in the Arena and dies after being shot at twice. Personally I'd prefer the no Master option, I'd rather not have Form 6 sullied by having been associated with THAT Jedi.
The Jedi order just got coconut malled
XD
Imagine if HK-47 still functioned to the era of the Empire, I know that seems very improbable but it'd be really funny
I heard there was a comic (or a books?) where HK-47 is reactivated by the separatist who wanted to study and replicate him but HK-47 killed them all.
(I'm not sure this is canon or even exist in the first place)
@@desolatortrooper7196 he was revived, but he was combined with his produced unit with a random trophy of himself. He was old by that time.
He actually did. You encounter him on Mustafar in Star Wars: Galaxies - Trials of Obi-Wan, chronologically taking place in 1 ABY.

“Get coconut malled”

Bro my guy just predicted the entire clone wars jit be tripping
Darth Sidious and Plageuis: what a great idea HK, thank you! Let’s destroy the Jedi with this!
That actually makes a lot of sense, as I've seen Obiwan, Anakin, and Yoda each single handedly slice through a whole battalion of droids. It makes sense they'd be the only ones to survive (even if Anakin cheated)
Other recommendations included explosions, gas attacks, or failing that, attacking targets the Jedi is close to in order to demoralize them (and to avoid that pesky danger sense they seem to have when they sense you mean them harm.) He explicitly discourages just firing blasters at them in small numbers, saying if he sees another idiot doing that, he will kill them himself.
HK-47 and Atton Rand both have a lot of good tips on killing Jedi.
HK-47’s advice on using landmines is also clever too. If you have ever played as the anti tank unit in Battlefront 2 (2005), you can pretty much down them easily.
True OGs ran them over with a speeder bike in the original Battlefront
Very useful on Naboo in the city of Theed indeed
I still do play Battlefront 1 and 2 on Ps2 sometimes, pure nerd nostalgia

Objection: There are few MEATBAGS who can long hold their ground against a hundred MEATBAGS.
"In the business, this is what we call foreshadowing".
Whenever I watch something where a lone person is continuously shooting a blaster at a Jedi or a Dark Jedi, and said Force user is deflecting the bolts with ease, I always think back to this conversation with HK and imagine he's spinning in his robot grave - faster spins for if the blaster user *knows* what a Jedi is capable of.
So we sure that this bot isn’t a force user 😂
He's not. He was just programmed that way by Revan, believe it or not
I think Rahm Kota had it right when he refused to use the GAR and commanded regular, trained troopers instead. The Clones were a walking, talking liability from Day one. I still think they're cool. I also think they were a ticking time bomb the second they climbed out of their birthing pods.
HK-47 needs his own movie when he gets reactivated during the OT.
A character from a game developed so many years ago can predict what happens to Jedi after so many years in the canon, just because Jedi have weaknesses that can be exploited.
Well done, HK. You just destroyed all hope in the world.
Worth mentioning that KOTOR was developed between 1999 and 2003 and KOTOR 2 was released in 2004, with the overall development time lasting years before Revenge of the Sith was released.
Lucas absolutely had ties to the development of this game and more than likely gave Chris Avellone the go-ahead to include this little easter egg into the final product. I think one of them even said as much in an interview.
Keep in mind that KOTOR 2 came out before Episode 3.
Hk-47 sounds like a rifle name lol

HK-47: Hmm it appears I should watch what I say from now on
If I recall, a method that madalorians used on Jedi that was effective was something we use today… Shotguns! Cause you can’t stop all pellets with a lightsaber!
That and super-heated shotgun metal shrapnel to the face usually did the job
Am I the only one thinking jedi would have a hard time being on the bad end of a machine gun?
Incidently, this also describes how the jedi were having a hard time in the Arena Battle on Geonosis

Kotor 2 came out before Revenge of the Sith. Not sure if the device had any insight as to how the prequels would tell the story of how the jedi were made extinct, but if they did not, then this is slightly intimidating
He can see the future!?!
HK-47 proposed Order 66 *BEFORE* that was cool. I just had to use that old meme.
HK processes the best way to kill Jedi, thousands of years before the Sith do.
Don't do the dark side kids, do Cybernetics.
I believe there was a comic book done about how the Separatists found HK's OS on a supercomputer and so did the Republic, so they literally fought over the OS until said OS began utilizing Star Forge tech to build HK-100s who began slaughtering both sides, then HK got so annoyed with both sides he shot his OS cannister into dark space before blowing up the bunker because both the battle droids and clone troopers annoyed him. He called them "inferior copies" of what Revan did with HK. It was one of the most accurate portrayals of any Old Republic character during the Clone Wars saga and it was nothing short of hilarious, especially when Obi-Wan and Anakin were arguing with HK's OS.
"Statement: Oh good. More Jedi. Are my units unable to handle pest control anymore?"
"You need to stop this, HK! We mean you no harm!"
"Observation: Considering how ragged and tired your forces are fighting against my units, I do not doubt that is the case."
If you find that comic, if it does exist, can you name it here? I'll look into it as well. I find it fascinating.
@Coolius Maximus its been a while since I read it but I can try to see if it's still in circulation
Palpatine: Write that down! Write that down!"
This isn't really a prediction, just the truth.
Keep in mind Kotor 2 came out before ROTS
the funniest part was HK-47's tactics on killing Jedi were already incorporated by Revan. Revan was a prodigy among the Jedi of his era and when he turned Sith he turned that knowledge against them. He created HK-47 and trained him in all the ways to kill Jedi, some even playing on their code to your advantage, like putting them in a situation where to save a life they'd have to risk their's. It didn't end with just HK-47, either. ALL of his hand-picked troops were taught these tactics; Atton Rand from KOTOR2 said they were taught basic means of deception and tricking them by playing on their own logic and reasoning.
Revan was ultimately one of the ones who laid the groundwork for the Sith to dominate control over the Republic and the Jedi Order.
He will always be the best Star Wars assassin droid for me.👍
If they Jedi weren't stupid for plot convenience sake, they wouldn't have used a mysterious clone army that appeared out of nowhere exactly when they needed it. How dumb can you be to an obvious trap? They pretty much deserved what happened to them.
While I am in 100% agreement, The Republic didn't have the luxury of choice at that point. They had just been dragged into a Galactic war and they needed an Army/Fleet * yesterday *. I can also see why they weren't too suspicious: The Clones had come from a Jedi Master who had been arguing for an Army to protect the Republic for years before he died(As we know later on this isn't true but at the time it was believed to be) and every Jedi had talked to numerous Clones and found the same thing, "good" people who were utterly loyal to the Republic.
However, relying on the Clones to make up over 80% of your combat forces after year 1 was extremely stupid. It wasn't until Year 3 the Republic finally had enough troops to fight every fire the Seperatists started, extra forces would have been extremely useful in putting out fires earlier, costing less lives. Also why would you still willingly be using an Army which a single modified virus could incapacitate or eradicate utterely? Add in the whole Jango/Sifo Dias lie/Tyrannus conspiracy and there should have been a massive drive for non-Clone soldiers to be attached to Clone formations. I'm not convinced it would have derailed Order 66 but it would have certainly made it much harder and bloodier.
Also, side rant, Why the Fuck did the Jedi agree to the Orders in the first place? I'm sure Palpatine assurred the Jedi Order 66 was for individual rogue Jedi (but how could you not spot the massive red flag) but there's no level of arselicking that could hide the pure evil Order 37 is. Execute civilians, specifically the most vulnerable, until a fugative comes out of hiding....how could that possibly be used for * "The Greater Good" *.
Bro I thought this video was from 2009 or something with it's quality
Notice how he said few. Not none. And there were a few jedi that survived order 66 purely by cutting down every single clone that was under their command.
Or having none under their command to begin with.
KOTOR II came out JUST before Revenge of the Sith, right?
Bioware, Obsidian or someone got that little nugget of information from Lucasfilm beforehand, I'm guessing?
Or Lucas had the notes since 1970-whatever on how the jedi would die in the backstory of A NEW HOPE or the game writers were pretty clever and just figured that the sovereign peacekeepers were "long-knifed" via firing squad or their own traitorous armies and allies to serve a literal oppressive empire.
Except if they are droids. A million droids shooting one jedi does nothing to them.
One of things I wondered as a kid from watching superhero movies is why don't villains use the simplest form to kill instead of a energy form that seems to fail. Such as shooting a jedi with ballistic bullets instead of blasters. Faster for one thing. Also harder to pi point the direction fo the shot being fired. I don't remember what answer I was given
It's because at that point in time, slug-throwing weapons were highly illegal or considered too low-tech for the blaster bolt methods. It had been that way since literally the time of HK-47. However, the Mandalorians did sometimes use slug-throwers during the Mandalorian Wars because when Jedi tried to deflect explosive buckshot, well...
Lol pedantics over semantics in regards to the concept of “prediction” in this comment section is not what I was expecting
