I see this item every time I go to Lowe’s for supplies for work.
@@ebodaman So they DO still carry it. Interesting. Thanks, brother.
Neat pencil. I like the fact that it’s 2B lead. Kind of reminds me of the Fisher Space Pen and the Papermate Power Plant Pen that would write at any angle.
@@ChadQuick270W I agree. It's much heavier and bulkier than a space pen, for sure.
Thank you for this. It had me at Yellow! :) I enjoy yellow products and this looks like a solid item worth checking out.
@@barrysanaloginsights It's a nice one. Thanks for checking in on my humble channel, my friend.
I like this design, it's like the Pentel GraphGear 500's cousin that juggles tyres for his day job. Lots of heft so you can feel it through gloves, and a wide lead core to offset the strong force you'll inevitably handle this with both because of the lack of tact from wearing gloves as well as the muscle fatigue from working on a tough job site interfering with fine motor control. The wide point means that hard force is applied over a large area, so less risk of ripping through the paper you're writing on, especially if said paper is wet.
When you review the NicPro set, test its graphite against this one like you did with the Papermate!
@@DinnerForkTongue That graphite test is a good idea. But how disappointed will I be if it's terrible and scratchy? The whole point was to get all that extra graphite and erasers.
Pentel has a 2B 1.3 MM lead which I found after I put the Rite in the Rain on my Wish List on amazon! I presume that the 2B Pentel would write (or rite) quite closely to the lead in these
Things my bank card wishes I didn't know. ;)
@@ma-mo I was at my local Wal-Mart today in Hazleton, PA and I noticed that Pen+Gear released Jumbo Pencils. I know that this would be right up your alley since I know you like dark indian pencils.
Mission: accepted. Thanks for the heads-up!
That Pentel 1.3 looks great, I might have to try one. Rite in the rain makes great gear as a whole.
I know which one you mean. It writes less like a pencil and more like a brush. Absurdly soft and pleasant, perfect for large lettering.
The weight of a box of reg..wow. I thought at first not so dark until you compared to the other one. Maybe you covered this at one time? Q : why are pencils mostly yellow? Don't always understand but do enjoy the videos. have a great day.
Interesting story about yellow pencils. I'll have to maybe make a video on that. ;)
Good review video - yep cameras always are in the way when yo are trying to demonstrate something! 😂
@@TheWobblyCameraGuy But you're always perfectly smooth with it; or maybe you're just the master of editing?
@@ma-mo Hi, ha ha I wish LOL. No, I cheat 🙃 and just fix my cameras and then zoom and pan in during editing process. I can’t do clever & complex, only the simple stuff. Your videos are always done in such a calm and relaxed manner, I need to try and emulate your technique!
@@TheWobblyCameraGuy And I, yours!
How could it be weather proof when they cant even spell "Write" correctly?
@@joest.eggbenedictus1896 It's actually "rite" in the religious and liturgical sense. And you do it in the rain. Or something.
@@ma-mo Ha!! You're right.
@@ma-mo The rite in the rain pencil would be the perfect match for the Bardin Marsee waterproof bible.
Y'all are killing me right now.
