I have the same problems, my dad never shares his feelings, his thinking, his past...etc...i wish he did, and we could be friendlier, there is a virtual gap that always existed. Dunno if it was due to my behaviour or his nature.

I have the same problems, my dad never shares his feelings, his thinking, his past...etc...i wish he did, and we could be friendlier, there is a virtual gap that always existed. Dunno if it was due to my behaviour or his nature.
No bro my father is same as your father but we can do is that talk with him just talk about whatever ask him about his life and expirience as whatever he likes or dislikes, the thing is that if you talk then he'll recognise that your'e trying talking a friendly chat and he'll be comfortable to talk with you in that case he will feel better and someday he can stop thinking about past, try it. I talk with my father daily on some usual topics like politics news and everything and it makes a father-son bond very helpful and great.
