Ive seen a lot of military style movies in my day but I have to give credit this is not like Rambo or other 1 man army movies. This one really was beyond amazing and had me on the edge of my seat. I second your recommendation.

Looks like a good movie ...HOWEVER, WHY IN THE HELL ARE THEY SHOWING A B1-LANCER PERFORMING A MISSION THAT A F-22, F-35 OR EVEN AN A-10C is better equipped for...THIS MADE NO SENSE...NEITHER DOES HAVING A FAT 60 YR OLD PERFORMING DUTIES THAT ARE FAR BELOW WHAT HIS STATUS WOULD BE AT THAT AGE...I am a huge Russell Crowe Fan...even the large Jolly one but whoever did this film needs to revisit how to properly do CASTING....So they got an Academy Award Winner....Clint Eastwood has won awards so why not place him in that seat....i SURE HOPE THE MOVIE IS BETTER THAN THE CASTING AND THE DEPICTION OF BATTLE...
ps. Although was not part of this video I saw a video of the opening sequence when the JTAC had issues opening his chute...If he is a JTAC then he has numerous jumps and is experienced....ESPECIALLY if he is assigned to a TIER 1 unit...There are TIER 1 JTAC Operators and even if not qualified or meeting standards to have achieved Tier 1 status, JTAC OPERATORS ARE ALL UNDER JSOC COMMAND AND ARE SPECIAL OPERATORS....THEY COULD BE TIER 1,2 OR 3 BUT REGARDLESS OF THE JTAC OPERATORS CLASSIFICATION HE WOULDN'T BE TIMID OR UNSURE OF HIMSELF AND IT IS VERY COMMON TO HAVE A JTAC OPERATOR WITH A SMALL UNTI PERFORMING DIRECT ACTION MISSION....Otherwords, the dialogue in the beginning talked in circles and made zero sense....It is obvious whoever wrote this screenplay for this movie chose not to perform any research or due diligence and project to the audience whatever they felt like instead of making sure at least the dialog aligned with reality....Oh well, doesn't matter just irks me... (As did MASTERS OF THE AIR AND AN ACTOR I HAVE LOST ALL RESPECT FOR...T HANKS)

Maybe the island was out of range of a F-22, F-35, or A-10 and no air refueling tankers were available. B-1 can carry a lot more weapons to a far greater distance than any of those jets. And yea, he is too old to be even a passed-over captain waiting on his 20-year retirement date to arrive.
It was his first mission with operators for Pete's sake
