Pete! This is one of the WTG that looks good to me. That is a great fuller. Love the slight recurve the blade has as well. Super steels are cost prohibitive for big blades, plus there is no need when you properly heat treat sk85 it will work great! Very sharp, and yeah Suzer hates me shaving my arms with knives as well.....great one Pete and great knife! Now go do daddy stuff!
hey pistol pet good job you put on the best show in town. that is one nice blade a work of art If I had one I would just play with it and look at it no way would I do dirty work with it I use my cheap knives to do the dirty work and my nice knives to play with and look at but if the crap hits the fan I would have no problem bushwhacking with the nice blades. I just do not like looking at a beat up work of art. you have a wonderful collection of knives nice to hand down to the grandchildren everything I got from my grandpa and father the knives are the most special to me and I will be taking very good care of them to hand down to my grandchildren wishing you and yours the best.

It's a shame that so many excellent knife manufacturers don't get any internet coverage. I've been wanting a good AUS-8 survival knife recently. A small company called Steel Will makes some great ones for a good price. Unfortunately, it seems they've gone out of business, probably due to lack of recognition from the big brands. The Steel Will Argonauts are very nice blades.
@@pistolpete4991 I actually bought the CPM-3V SRK as a Christmas present to myself, before Cold Steel goes completely in the shit$er. I got a good deal, but it's part of the reason I don't have money for another blade right now.

I was gonna say Ken Onion is the way I sharpen it. Use the belt attachment adapter, though the pull through one scratches the size of the blade. Which is OK feel beater knives but sucks for collector blades

Interesting comment about what has to be done manually on the blade. We don’t always think about that when we are looking at the price.
