Mermaid egg,a great colour and a great name for a colour as well. I love the wallace and Seymour paints as well and I do also have them in their own palettes of colours. The Etchr ceramic palettes were the perfect place to put your collection of these colours and I have no doubt you will use them more now. It's always a joy to see you putting your colour palettes together and hearing your thinking behind them, and hearing how you will use them in your artworks going forward.(matt) P.s I don't think it would have been boring to watch you filling these palettes at all,a lot of people do enjoy seeing artists do that. I love that you decided to turn the mixing palletes into paint palettes instead,I would have done the same thing,an inspired idea for sure.
1:23 Your paint choices are always very beautiful!
Thank you, I appreciate that. :)
These Wallace Seymour colors are lovely. If you want a really nice version of indanthrone blue, they make one. I wanted to buy the etchr palettes when Jackson’s had them on sale to use the lager size as for limited color palettes like you did, but of course they were sold out! Finally, Mermaid Egg. Shouldn’t it be more like Dufy (doo-fee)? What respectable mermaid would have a brown egg?🤔
I had that one once! I might have the tiniest bit left in the tube in my "fag ends" jar (it's where I store all the tubes of paint that are almost completely empty but still have a tiny drop in!). I got my little palettes when they were on sale, and used a little bit of affiliate credit to help pay for them. :)
It's always really relaxing to watch your videos, and I love your color choices :D - I have also some W&S watercolors tubes that I love but just used a few times, maybe because they are not in a palette, so I think I will also gime them a "home" to solve this problem 🤭--- Mermaid egg!!
Me thinks...good idea for any paint tube lying around...will use more in a palette...good luck ...making a W&S palette soon...in the near future. I bet you will enjoy them more.
This will probably sound weird but you sound extra “young and happy” in this video. I hope that’s how you feel too!
Aw, that's so nice!
These Etchr palettes are very cute but way too small for my liking. A cheap second hand plate is more to my liking so I've more room for a larger brush and a mixing place.
You have to go with what suits you and your style of painting. :)
ya...so true...these limit the size of painting and size of brush you can use...great point!
Where did you find all these amazing Wallace Seymour colours. I can’t find Mermaid Egg anywhere.
mermaid egg!
Mermaid egg! The video of filling, swatching was the perfect amount of filming- maybe even slow down in some of the more unique colors although that may be hard with this brand!
I enjoy making palettes as well, they are very inspiring! We all need some mermaid eggs for fun :)
Making palettes is such a relaxing exercise for me!
Mermaid egg. I love your choice of colours Natasha! Thank you ❤
What cute palettes! Obviously I need some now...
Mermaid Egg....interesting colours you have chosen from Wallace and Seymour...I am sure they have OTHER COLOURS ...like some reds/blues/yellows and more vibrant ones...which of course are not up your alley...It was nice to see you fill up these little 19 well ceramic etcher palettes...and also their mixing palette...all with colours to use....Good luck...remembering which is which!!! That would be my problem for such tiny little palettes...I bet you will do fine!...Janis in The Yukon Canada
Yes so many colours! Anke in Sydney 🙂
What beautiful color palettes. I have recently been on a hunt for my favorite buff titanium watercolor and I honestly didn’t even think to purchase some in gouache .💡😮
Thanks for sharing and inspiring Natasha🥰

You're welcome, and thank you for watching! :)
Just started watching, love the music too, got my cuppa ready! Cosy time!! 🤗🧡
Enjoy, Alyona! 🖤
mermaid egg - A stunningly beautiful gentle natural selection
"boring AF". That sounds like something I would say, Natasha, without using acronyms! 😂
Thank you for another pretty, colourful, filling, swatch-y video of your painting life. I'm catching up on your YT and Patreon videos, and this is perfect for a very rainy Saturday morning, in bed with coffee and a pile of cats (with the husband out of town too!). I'm going to pull out my paints later and dabble a bit, after I'm caught up on the inspirational videos. 😊♥
That sounds like a perfect morning (particularly the cats!).
Mermaid Egg! You call your swatch sessions inspiring - I call them enabling! Have my beady eye on the Highland set of Wallace Seymour. I'm off to the Isle of Skye later this month so feel this would be most appropriate :)
Well, it's rather that I hope they're inspiring. :) The Isle of Skye is lovely - have a great time!
I probably would've watched the 1 hr filling of the palettes to be fair. :D Just the perfect background stuff when doing something else myself.
Ha ha , I know what you mean! I do actually love it when other people do it. :)
I am finally getting around to watching - Mermaid Egg! 😃😘
The end of Caput Mortuum is pronounced like the end of Continuum. Space-time continuum, caput mortuum. Weirdly, vacuum would've been pronounced the same way at one time.
It means "dead head", though I've seen it translated as "worthless remains" in old books about alchemy. It must have an amazing history.
Such an intriguing colour and history!
You have the softest voice! You're my studio buddy very often! Although we don't have the same taste in colours (I love me a dopamine rushing bright coloured palette), I love your videos, they are super informative, and relaxing. Two birds with one stone! (but not harming the birds really, that expression is awful, but it gets the point across!)
Thank you so much!
Mermaid Egg
Lovely colors. I recently bought two super small palettes that hold just 12 colors each. Very fun to carry around in my pencil case.
There's something just so lovely about small things. :)
mermaid egg, such beautiful muted colors.
Beautiful colours. I’m sure you had a video when you started a sketchbook dedicated to swatching but I can’t find it, do you remember which one it was?
I'm not sure - maybe it was a Patreon video?
That Potter’s Pink is quite strong.
It's quite a powerful Potter's Pink!
Hi, I’ve subscribed for a while but haven’t had time to watch much, will do something about that! I really want to put pallets together for all blues, greens, etc because I find that I don’t really use some paints since they’re all over the place according to brand. So once you have a pallet of say blues and greens, do you then divide into cool and warm?
it certainly is hard to know what to do Anke...some people like Helen Cryer...put ALL HALF PANS into a large pencil tin with a swatch ad magnetic tape on the bottom of each pan...with ALL THEIR COLOURS THAT THEY OWN...THEN pull out a little 12-18 small tin palette for the day...depending on what colours you may use...
I am more inclined to keep my palettes BRAND NAME BASED...{ I think I have way more watercolours than she does}...so all my Holbein and all my yadayada ARE TOGETHER....but then that also gets complicated...if say you want a Daniel Smith primatek...in with some Holbein or M.Graham
Sometimes though...I am "IN THE MOOD " for a certain brand of paint...no matter what.
We have too many choices...too many paints. 1st world spoilt I think
Sometimes ...I am quite happy enough with my crappy student paints...like prima or some other cheap brand...just to goof off...with some colour on some paper...Good luck finding the right solution for yourself...I am still a bit stumped myself...as to what I really want...too many choices= decision downfall/overwhelm😒
Mermaid egg! Super fun and interesting chat about these paints and your colour palettes. They are lovely palettes.
Thank you so much!
Really interesting! Thank you 🤩 I will look up the paint brand. I bought the etchr mini with 37 wells recently. I've not been brave enough to try and fill it yet as the wells are so small and I want to choose where I'm putting everything first. This will allow me to put all of my paints into one little palette as I only use small amounts.
I hope you enjoy filling it! They're great little palettes. :)
Thank you for another lovely video Natasha. Mermaid egg! is such a lovely name for a paint 😁
Thanks Sandra!
Mermaid egg! What a gorgeous colour though in my head I would have had a mermaid egg as a green shade, not sure why 😂. Some beautiful paints.
I know what you mean about the Mermaid Egg!
Mermaid Egg. I love your colour palette videos. As you said, so inspiring.
Thank you so much!
Sodalite,great video thank you
mermaid egg hard name to forget as a color 😂

mermaid egg, such beautiful earthy colours
Mermaid egg! You make me buy a lot of those colors🙈
Oops, sorry! ;)
This was so much fun. I've looked at these mini palettes so many times. Now I'm tempted again. The W&S paints are ridiculously expensive in Canada but they sure are nice. Love the creative names like Mermaid Egg :)
I'd loved them for a long time too before I decided to splurge when they were on sale! :)
Monique...have you tried ordering from Jackson's in England...for the Wallace and Seymour paints? Maybe it is still the best deal...though times are a changing with them and Canadian orders and their new delivery method! 🙄 🤨😏😒😌😟
@@kookatsoonjan I can't find their paints on Jackson's :(. Neither the Canadian site or the UK site.
Mermaid Egg 🤩🙂🙃

Mermaid egg. Loved watching you put your palettes together! Just purchased some of my first Peg and Awl products a few days ago, and I can't wait until I receive them! Enjoy your new, beautiful palettes! Looking forward to your next video.
I hope that you enjoy your new Peg & Awl products as much as I do!
Mermaid Egg! Wallace Seymour paints are my holy grail paints. (sigh) someday... Lovely video, thanks for sharing!
They are beautiful paints! Really quite different. I hope you're able to get some in the future!
Mermaid Egg😉 Yes, you have inspired me! I have lots of paint tube colors and have been thinking that I would like to squeeze them into pallets and I just need to order some palettes .
And thanks for the heads up about the issues with filling the Etchr mini palettes.
I just find that if it's in a palette, I'll tend to use it more than if it's not! I'm so glad that the video has inspired you. 🖤
I love the idea of separate swatch cards. It helps so much in case of palettes of different shapes or forms.
Mermaid Egg. Lovely colours.
Mermaid Egg! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at those little Etchr palettes, they are so appealing. Beautiful paint colors. Thank you.
I'd had my eye on them for a while before I finally splurged!
Mermaid Egg! May is certainly a revealing time for Nature's palettes! Early morning or bright midday...so much to see.
This is so true!
Lovely choices. Love the greens, especially the pale greens. Thanks for sharing your palettes and how you went about choosing them. Mermaid Egg is a great name!
The pale greens are some of my absolute favourites!
