Damn! These lawn tractors are getting advanced! Leather seats, 24hp Diesel, 4WD, tail lights, Screens and a phone charger plug? This makes my 90's MTD lawn tractor look ancient!
I own a 2013 X758, bought it new. Has 350hrs on it and hasn’t had one problem at all. Best lawn tractor out there. Still to this day i enjoy getting on that thing
I brought a Zero Turn from Tim about 4 years ago and love it. Traded in an older John Deere . I was very pleased with the offer they made and the entire process. Just moved to another property where I will need a larger lawn tractor that I can use on hilly terrain. I plan to contact Tim in a couple of months for a 700 series. This will be my third purchase from James River Equipment in Chester. Awesome place!
Nice! Have viewed your video over and over still waiting for the snow to melt so I can pick my 758 up in the spring. Went with the 54 inch deck, all mine will need to be complete is a CPC Loader, no more shoveling. Thank You for posting this Great Overview! Vet to Vet May God Bless Brother.
Did you buy this on the Black Friday deal Deere advertised for this model in November? I was going to buy a x738 earlier but the dealer told me to hold off, glad I did, got this gem cheaper than the 738 with the 54 in driver over/auto connect mower. Check out the loader CTC offers for this tractor, may have to break out the checkbook again Ken. Have A Great Weekend!
She’s a beauty of a machine, Good luck with it buddy. I just purchased the X739 a month ago was a hard decision not going with the diesel model 758, but I have acres of grass and plenty of trees to go around so i went with the 739 because of the 4 wheel steering. Awesome you got the 3 point hitch!

Thank you for this review. I live outside Chesterfield, VA as well and was looking at getting this exact setup in the next couple of months. Definitely great to see all the detail you've shown!
Nice. I'm looking to replace my riding mower with something more capable. Considered a zero-turn, but they don't like wet slopes. Thought a side-by-side or a single seat ATV with a tow-behind mower would be nifty, but that's not their intended purpose. Then I got wise to 4WD garden tractors... This one is high on my list. Properly optioned out, I could eliminate three pieces of equipment in my shed with this tractor.
I ordered a 2020 X758 today with 48” deck and bagger. Great review! Mine is coming from the factory in Wisconsin so it will be about 2-3 weeks before delivery. A sweet tractor! Great review KVUSMC!
Great Choice Brother you can't go wrong it is the Elite of all Garden tractors and yes it is s John Deere Amen keep me posted I love the 48 inch deck I appreciate the compliment
John deere doesnt fabricate decks. On the ZTRs and compact tractors theres the 7 Iron which is a very durable stamped deck. This one has the Accel deep deck which is very nice as well. For the price, I do think this machine deserves the 7 iron.
quick question - do the suitcase weights just hang off the bracket that is already on teh front, or do you have to have a differnt add on bracket for the weights?
I only have 4 hours on mine and the spring that tightens the mower belt came off. Did you experience that How do you get the spring back on by yourself Thank you
Well I'll tell ya! You went and spent for the top of the line 700 series with the diesel. But you by the cheap mower deck were you have dink around underneath to unhook it. Then pull it out to sharpen the blades unless you run them all year. You could have went with the 54" drive over deck and had the auto connection put on instead of paying hight bucks for the three point imatch hitch which you said you were going to take for some reason. There made to stay on to hook up fast to equipment. You could have gone with a Titan hitch which is built heavier and less money..Well I hope you enjoy ur machine and you get ur moneys worth for the diesel. Remember don't run out of fuel or you'll be in for a treat to get it back running .its not like a car!!
Beautiful tractor there fella, congratulations on the new diesel purchase. I probably would have just kept the old X585, capability wise it is almost the same tractor, just gas vs diesel, would have saved 10s of thousands of dollars over the years not having to buy all the other tractors and mowers you had over the years. just my opinion no disrespect. anyways good luck with it, I hope it serves you well for many years to come.
Thank you sir Your exactly right I could of saved allot of money 💰 you live and Learn yes the X585 could hang with the best of them Thanks For stopping by Brother
Hello, I just purchased this same tractor. I was wondering if you could tell me the JD part number for the front weights and if they just hook right onto the front without any added bracket? I need the front ballast for when I run my JD boom sprayer without my 60" deck attached. The front end seems to get a little light without the mower deck on it. Thanks!
@@KVUSMC-KU4SMC ah ok! yea I was wondering if this time of year has the best deals on tractors. You said that's a 2019 model. Is it any different than the 2020 models? How are the headlights on that tractor? Do they light up the night pretty well or will you be upgrading the headlights?

The diesel uses about 1/2 the fuel of gas. It uses a lot more air which causes the screens to clog up with dry gas. The diesel will go about 3500 hours before overhaul vs. 1700 for the gas. No problem with the tires as I need them for mowing ditches.
Just out of curiosity why did you buy the small deck? I have the same one but mine is a 2015 & I have the 60" commercial deck on mine - same 3 point hitch , 60" back blade , 54" snow blade. The best investment I ever made & no I don't let the wife drive it either ! They are the best there is!
