They're cheaper because they dont have a brush tip. Most alcohol markers come with a brush tip on one end and then the other end is one of the two ends shown here. Most people who use alcohol markers want to be able to blend the colors for shading, so a marker without a brush tip would be less desireable. That said if you don't care about blending/are able to do what you need with these tips, then go for it!! Not everyone needs every "top art supply" capability! I just wanted to inform in case anyone is trying to compare/decide. :)
I actually bought one of these 1 year ago cause I thought that they looked interesting and it was 2 dollars here in my country. Although it ran out, it was actually pretty good
Heya! Here to explain alcohol markers for future reference! not anything against you just here to explain! The point of alcohol markers is for blending, to be able to cover a large amount of area without streaking while being able to blend with other markers. While looking at your hey (great font btw) you can see streaks within the lettering, aswell as an unever pigment. These 2 bits are common within other markers, though they lack the entire purpose of alcohol markers. Unsure how they blend, but just from the solo colors thats what I saw. They match the price ofc, as alcohol markers are very expensive, but that doesnt make them good. Just some further explanation, love your channel!
Lol I was just thinking when she started filling in the hey her handwork work was so sloppy not of an artist but a regular consumer liking markers and stationary and I knew she dont know anything about the different types and qualities of art materials. Just a random passersby, havent looked at her channel but I dont think she's an artist. Ok nvm she does have good work for pencil sketches but not markers
@dust9497 proper alcohol markers, ones such as ohuhu or altenew, are made to blend even after drying, and the point of drying quickly is to reduce smudging of the ink. The alcohol within the markers allows for them to be reactivated even after dry and that's why most sets come with a clear marker called a "blending marker", which allows for the blending to be carried further. And while I agree with you that no one should be able to dictate who an artist is, fighting fire with fire won't work, and the best thing you can do is simply ignore it. I'm writing these comments for clarification and scientific purpose as someone who's main media is alcohol marker and has been using them for years. It's for informational purposes only, not to be mean in any way
@@blindingsilence0409 ignoring things is a cowardly mindset and is kinda the exact reason why so many humans are victims of the bystander effect. We need to get rid of that cowardly mindset if we want to actually make a change on this planet. And you kinda proved my point, a few high quality brands of markers having the ability to blend well does not speak for the majority of markers lmao. Obviously good brands are gonna be better to work with but you need to look at the bigger picture instead of paying attention to the few high quality brands
@@dust9497 the I'm not focusing on just high quality. The entire point of alcohol. The DEFINITION is for blending. I didn't ignore it. I pointed it out. You just don't have to be a bitch when pointing things out to children who LIKE art, that's how people stop doing what they do, you can be a bitch to adults, but kids are stupid and need to be taught kindly for the first few years
I just bought an 80 pcs set of auut alcohol markers off Amazon for like 13$ and they come Sunday I'll let you guys know how they work! I'm super excited!

I bought one which had 84 colour and half of the colour ran out within a month and it gost 20 dollar
