Cannot Understand the criticism here, Gilmour has already said that since Richard Wright passed Away he wont perform Echoes Again, So this is the only way you'll hear this Live Again...Just Enjoy it for What it is.. Great musician's Entertaining an Audience....Isn't that what music is About
But David you do understand. You understand that an opportunity to see this wonderful piece of music performed live is not to be missed. I'd go to see these guys in a heartbeat. If 'purist fools' choose to miss out, that's their loss. All the classic bands are quite literally dying. but their music can live on through other musicians
Agreed, think of Brit Floyd as the beginnings of hundreds of years of performances by countless entities - puts PF in the company of Mozart, Beethoven etc.
RIP Richard Wright. Everytime I hear the keyboards in Echoes I'm reminded of his greatness. He filled in every space with a sonic, atmospheric sound that only he was able to create.
Absolutely Outstanding !!! . I grew up with Pink Floyd . i was a junior in high school when this album was released . it immediately became my favorite album, and still is . i have owned every one of their albums, and have seen them several times . i just now discovered this band . they are so much like Pink Floyd that the memories came flooding back and i was brought to tears . Thank You for making a sick old man feel alive for a bit..
I am guessing you are in the US? Check out Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets - they are touring there imminently. I saw them in the UK a couple of nighrs ago and they played Echoes. Awesome!
I have seen Brit Floyd. There are the only band I've seen that does P/F the justice they deserve. I have not seen them do Echoes, but they are SO GOOD at replicating the Floyd sound.
In most of the Echoes that Pink Floyd plays live, you hear the climactic part, like 16:52, focusing on the powerful bass and single guitar rather than the two main guitar chords you hear in the studio version. On the other hand, studio-specific chords played live sound very impressive. I'm really happy to hear different versions of Echoes.
Saw The Pink Floyd 3 times. Twice with Waters and once without at Soldier's Field Chicago (Division Bell). 1st time my buddies and I all dropped some lysergic acid diethylamide. Memorable to say the least. I see nothing wrong with this performance. Respect!
A good adaption of Pink Floyd's "Echoes." *Thou nothing can beat David Gilmour & Richard Wright singing dual on this song.* R.I.P. Richard. *Your voice is silent* but will not be forgotten. With good cover bands keeping your music alive.
you right my friend nothing compares to david and richard echoes sublime instrumental dialogue!!! a salute from a mexican living in raleigh north carolina wide awake!!!
While I agree that nobody will ever replicate all of the complex layers of a Pink Floyd composition perfectly, I will say this though: If we had never heard Pink Floyd play before, we'd think these guys are seriously underrated. Great job Brit Floyd.
Oooohhhh...😱😱😱. Que increíble.. . Impresionante... Que. Nivel De. Músicos.. . Felicitaciones... . Que grsn sorpresa. Me he. Llevado... Suenan. Mejor. Que los. Originales..🧐 Saludos desde 🇨🇱
Saw them twice as a teen performing Dark Side of the Moon and Animals. 4 years later in the Navy, I visited Pompeii and we hired a horse buggy and got a jug of local wine. Got hammered and we toured all around Pompeii.
Seen these guys a couple of times....best Pink Floyd tribute band ever...... Can't wait to see them again....in the meantime....i enjoy these videos......
+hqmcjep13 A 6 piece band makes lot of difference! It is better than the original, but considering these guys took a masterpiece & parted out all the sections & played them independently without the pressures of Capital Records pushing for a product, it makes a difference.
They are the best you'll ever see and the best show you'll ever see. They don't take the piss (musically) that is to say they don't go off on their own solos with no respect for the original performances (both the original recordings and live). Call them a tribute act...call them a simulacrum...they are the best and closest you'll get to the real thing.
Even Pink Floyd or any other band for that matter can flawlessly recreate the original because even they weren't spot on when they recorded it......that's the beauty of music....ever evasive....ever creative...ever Beautiful.....but never emulated. We have no choice but to follow Her.
I''ve alwways thought that the lyrics were writen by Syd Barett, they sound like one of the instruments, making the song complete, and yet they are so meaningfull!Poetry!
IMMENSE!!! especially tackling such a maybe obscure title from the Floyd catalogue. Early Floyd so like live at Pompeii but with a better lighting show folks
Brit Floyd comes closest to recreating the sound, but there is no better recording of "Echoes" than Gilmour's "Remember that Night" live version. It's the only version able to overshadow the stdio version.
yeah not bad at all, very well played. If nothing else than a stellar rendition, it elevates the simpatico relationship of Wright and Gilmour when you bounce back to the Albert Hall or Gdansk performances and become enthralled in their other-worldly connection with phrasing and timing of the coda. Again. And again. And again.....
I saw PF play this live in 1972. Unforgettable to this day….but for those not fortunate enough to see it (or even the unbelievably great 2007 or so Rick Wright/David Gilmour version), fact is that its highly unlikely that Gilmore will play this now that Rick has passed. So to me, the fact that this band is doing this song (and quite well I think) is great to keep this masterpiece alive!
One way to settle this debate is this way. Had Pink Floyd never existed and these guys came out with this stuff would they be Pink Floyd? Short answer is yes.
Si los originales ya no se reúnen para hacer sus canciones por discrepancias personales, quedan los que vuelven a tomar su repertorio que lo pueden hacer con gran maestría, he aquí un botón.
I mean Dark Side Of The Moon is a iconic masterpiece I love that album I saying Meddle came out in 1971 which is two years before Dark Side Of The Moon and Meddle sounds amazing in 1971 and not a lot of people know about that album I want to say Meddle is the number 4 best album
Cannot Understand the criticism here, Gilmour has already said that since Richard Wright passed Away he wont perform Echoes Again, So this is the only way you'll hear this Live Again...Just Enjoy it for What it is.. Great musician's Entertaining an Audience....Isn't that what music is About
..Agreed.
There are a few critics, to them I say "If you can do better, why are you NOT on that stage?"
Amen!!!!!!!
But David you do understand.
You understand that an opportunity to see this wonderful piece of music performed live is not to be missed. I'd go to see these guys in a heartbeat.
If 'purist fools' choose to miss out, that's their loss.

@@globulant99 Well said !
Agreed, think of Brit Floyd as the beginnings of hundreds of years of performances by countless entities - puts PF in the company of Mozart, Beethoven etc.

What a fantastic cover by these guys!
I have seen Brit Floyd. There are the only band I've seen that does P/F the justice they deserve. I have not seen them do Echoes, but they are SO GOOD at replicating the Floyd sound.
Amazing to think that this was Brit Floyd's first show EVER!
16:54 - one of my all time favourite transitions in a piece of music. And fabulously executed by these guys. Thank you!
16 bars of abject glory
This Song is a masterpiece, maybe the deepest song ever , which captures me everytime.

David and Richard's voices paired together was perfect harmony like a soft soothing sound to it.
you right my friend nothing compares to david and richard echoes sublime instrumental dialogue!!! a salute from a mexican living in raleigh north carolina wide awake!!!
Echoes - "the best of Pink Floyd",
While I agree that nobody will ever replicate all of the complex layers of a Pink Floyd composition perfectly, I will say this though: If we had never heard Pink Floyd play before, we'd think these guys are seriously underrated. Great job Brit Floyd.

Superb.
Excellent rendition of "Echoes" off the Meddle album
+hqmcjep13 A 6 piece band makes lot of difference! It is better than the original, but considering these guys took a masterpiece & parted out all the sections & played them independently without the pressures of Capital Records pushing for a product, it makes a difference.
A rather tame version compared to the live versions all over RUclips from the actual Floyd.
Excellent cover !

Absolutely they are......
@Turd Ferguson ...We get what he meant though.
As much as I love Pink Floyd, Brit Floyd takes it to a new dimension. These guys ( and Women ) are so talented.
I think these guys perfected Pink Floyd

My favorite PF song
All the best Brit Floyd players, In my opinion.
Love this version of echoes.
They are the best you'll ever see and the best show you'll ever see. Even Pink Floyd or any other band for that matter can flawlessly recreate the original because even they weren't spot on when they recorded it......that's the beauty of music....ever evasive....ever creative...ever Beautiful.....but never emulated. We have no choice but to follow Her.
Just pure magic
To the ones that say they're not good...post your videos of you doing A Tribute to Pink Floyd and let us judge your talent.
Looking forward to the Elmira, NY. Show!

Wirklich gut
Just excellent
Australian Pink Floyd need to think of alternative careers. This knocks spots off our down under cousins.
Because the best parts of TAPFS left to create Brit Floyd :)
Very good.
I''ve alwways thought that the lyrics were writen by Syd Barett, they sound like one of the instruments, making the song complete, and yet they are so meaningfull!Poetry!
IMMENSE!!! especially tackling such a maybe obscure title from the Floyd catalogue.
Early Floyd so like live at Pompeii but with a better lighting show folks
obscure title? LOL
These Dudes. Are Rokers all the way
Brilliant.
All I need is that guitar blossom part to last long
Exelent
Echoes 1971 - 2021 . Ancora attuale
Brit Floyd comes closest to recreating the sound, but there is no better recording of "Echoes" than Gilmour's "Remember that Night" live version. It's the only version able to overshadow the stdio version.
David Gilmour Live in Gdansk too, both were epic
yeah not bad at all, very well played.

One way to settle this debate is this way. Had Pink Floyd never existed and these guys came out with this stuff would they be Pink Floyd?
Short answer is yes.
Those bendings should be slower
Epic. Just fucking epic.
They are amazing, but i wish they would stick more to the live arrangements than the studio ones

Si los originales ya no se reúnen para hacer sus canciones por discrepancias personales, quedan los que vuelven a tomar su repertorio que lo pueden hacer con gran maestría, he aquí un botón.
Meddle is their best album ever before Dark Side Of The Moon
It is a damn good one I agree... But Obscured by clouds which was right before DSTM was excellent too!
Wrong , that’s you’re personal opinion, if you’re going to make a statement at least say it how it really is
I mean Dark Side Of The Moon is a iconic masterpiece I love that album I saying Meddle came out in 1971 which is two years before Dark Side Of The Moon and Meddle sounds amazing in 1971 and not a lot of people know about that album I want to say Meddle is the number 4 best album
👍👍👍
The jam, note for note sounds like Pompeii!
Absolutely brilliant.
