Hi, how do you set your volume pedal to let the delay spillover to get nice clean swells when you put the volume down to get rid of the attack of the pick... I did « mute fx in » in the delay block but it does not work in the preset, it works only between scenes... thx for your help!!!
My buttons are stuck on Scenes. I can't get ti to go back to just selecting indvidual effects. Ever preset I go to has scenes as the only option. I just wanna start with selecting individual pedals.
You explain better than axe guys 🙂 could you explain hpw change in live a part of effect ? For example if i have the chorus but wish in live set less chorus effect ? On the line6 when pressing a long time on the switch you are directly in édit of the effect assigned to the button like on a pedal in live.
I just bought ine but cant seem to get into presets i trued hitting f1 and f2 but it says preset has no looper? How can i navigate mt presets? Thanks for any info
Hey Kley De Jong. Thank you for the great lesson. Is their anyway you can reset the Fractal ax8 to all factory settings if someone loads effects in it that you don't like or need?

Hi Kley , I've been using pod hd500x for a long time, I usually use it on 1234 mode, so for example on foot 1 (clean) I use a bassman with delay and chorus on, on foot 2 a plexi with drive on and so on. it is possible to use this way on ax8? thanks
That would be the preset latch mode. So if you press and hold F1 then you have access to any of the 8 presets in that bank via the 1-8 footswitches. So if you press 1 you could setup your clean bassman and then 2 could be your plexi. Each of the 8 footswitches instantly recall that different preset.
but if I use the 8 foots for presets, where I would put the effects so that I press in real-time on the gigs, On pod I use the 4 down foots for amps and the 4 above for effects.
Guilherme Freitas it wouldnt be feasible here as there are 8 presets vs the 4 on the HD which allowed 4 free switches. However I feel the scene mode on here could easily get someone past that

@@unleashthefury111 Well, I can't speak for Fractal - but to me it wouldn't make a lot of sense to build in a power amp. It would significantly add size and weight to the unit. Not all users want to have a power amp included. Not all uses want the same kind of power amp as they can come in various different levels of power and quality. It would add a fair bit of cost. Next, if you have a cab it doesn't seem that hard to put the power amp on the cab or build a small rack unit.
Hey man good video, what is your opinion about the line 6 helix with it's new updates compared to the fractal ax8? My budget is limited and I'm looking for something to use live aswell as for recording. I think these two are my best options. Would really appreciate your input!
FX8 is optimized to be a pedalboard replacement. No amp modeling. Better integration with setups like 4 cable method. AX8 is similar to the Axe-Fx II scaled into a pedalboard formfactor. It does have some restrictions. Only one amp block, no tone matching, no IR capture, etc... The Axe-Fx II is still the big daddy. Most powerful and full featured.

On my AX8 when i hold the F2 button it goes into tuner JUST like holding the F3 switch. What os wrong with my unit or what am i doing wrong?

Sorry, my mistake. I don't believe the AX8 can do both presets and effects. You have to do one or the other.
Maybe if you make a preset with 2 amps with X and Y switching ir could work the way that you want and making scenes with one amp or another.

Do i need a poweramp to be able to play this through a guitar cab or does it have a poweramp built in?
You need a power amp.
@@KleyDeJong thanks. Why cant they make something like this with a poweramp built in? Sort of like a kemper but an all in one foot controller

Does using the XY for 2 effects vs using individual switches for 2 effects save CPU?
Its just a way of getting a two for one on the effect settings.
