The bag is beautiful but personally I am more of a Chanel girl . The construction of the bag is awesome as is most higher end designer bags. Anybody who says they are too expensive needs to watch how they are made. The artist's time , effort and attention to detail is nearly painful to watch. If you pay for artisans to make a product then you are not just paying for the material and a small mark up. You pay for originality , time , nuance , skill and a certain esteem that comes with carrying that brand.

As for the bag, I can't get over the fact that Gucci takes sh..tload of your money, and yet your husband had to fix it to stop the fall outs and prevent clothes catching! I'd be furious if my clothes got ruined by a bag!
It's a lovely, fun bag. It's a little too structured for my style, but it is a great bag. When I was watching your video on how they do the DIY, I was thinking that it is very limited in what you can do....but then I thought they probably don't want people to have too much creative freedom and create a tacky Gucci bag. Totally agree! The Natick Mall is not the best in terms of variety. The downtown Boston boutique has come a long way! You should check it out! It has a lot more of everything! Do you know that Dionysus is a Greek god (from Greek mythology) of grape harvest, winemaking and wine..and some other things. just FYI, the panther head that is on the bag is because the god rode on the back of a panther or drove a chariot drawn by a pair of the beasts. :) enjoy your bag xoxo

Your handbag suits you very well. I have the Dionysus with the bumble bee from the first wave and like you I wouldn't sell it for anything. I get stares when I carry it but no one as of yet has approached me with a comment or question. And like many other luxury handbags this style would be very hard to find as a fake. so funny to see this video, when you were shopping it i thought what made the bag was the diy customization and i kind of thought you had a hint of regret in the plain one....but you would rock a potato sack so this is still lovely.
Beautiful bag, and I really liked your well thought out pros and cons of the bag. They are all good points and I feel like they could apply to any expensive bag. I am concerned that your blush and lipstick is floating free in a suede compartment. You may want to use a small makeup bag in case they open up or break. I have had lids come off of lipsticks, lip glosses open a little and leak, blushes break inside the compact and small bits fall out, all of which has turned me into a "makeup bag" girl.

This one wasn't 100% custom like the other DIY bags but I have gone to the boutique with a friend that ordered the custom one. The process of choosing everything is a lot of fun but there was nothing special about the service. I have to say that the jackets are to die for!!!!!

I love love love this bag and here’s why. It’s not basic. It looks like a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Plus it’s structured and cool. You see a bag like this and go “oh wow! Look at that!” It stands out. I see soooo many nice, designer bags but everyone has them and, to me, they’re a little blah. This IS NOT blah. It’s badass and fun. I think expensive brands like Gucci are literally laughing to the bank because people are stupid enough to buy obnoxious looking bags and paying so much for things like this.
