Yes I wasn't sure before I went, but it was Fantastic! Will I go again? ...perhaps, but I do miss my HAL ships too much. Oh yes, ONE thing with Virgin I did not understand: the soap in the bathroom was BLACK! I never worked out if that was a joke or serious, so I bought a normal(!) soap in port and used that instead...
That black soap was weird!

Your vlogs and thoughts are always very much appreciated, and it seems to have certainly whetted your appetite for more. As you know, we have booked for Valiant Lady in July next year, and a lot of that is down to you, for your great vlogs. Always been a traditional cruiser before, but Think to mix it ups every now and again will be good for us. Got all of my booking info now, and transfers to the ship and back sorted - so very much looking forward to it. I hope one day to bump into you two on a cruise

A glowing review of Scarlet Lady, so glad you had such a wonderful time. I really enjoyed this series of vlogs, informative and fun as always. On reflection it wouldn't be my first choice of ship, however if the destination and price was right I'd be interested to try for the food and entertainment.. The Dock House outside terrace looked like the perfect pre-dinner drinks venue. Thanks for sharing.

That's exactly how we felt when we booked, and glad we did. Virgin prices can be crazy but this 4 day cruise was affordable. We are keeping our eyes on Valiant Lady for next year, good to try something different, we like to mix it up! 😀

I am sure i have watched a vlog of Explorer 2, and some balcony cabins have a hammock on them, We are booked on ex 2 for next July ( fingers crossed!) and i will be 1st one to try it.!

Does Virgin have traditional restaurants with tablecloths!! As on P& O? All seemed to be like cafes?

It was great fun. Yes they do have restaurants like that with tablecloths, the Wake and Agave which we touched on in previous episodes. The Galley featured in this one is more of a buffet type restaurant.

I’m in the same camp that Paul was discussing, that it seems superficial/gimmicky- I guess we will just have to try it to see for ourselves.
Thanks Bob. Sunsets at sea are just the best! Somethings are gimmicky but a lot do work. Definitely do try them, we will again when the right price and itinerary comes up! 😀

It will be on The Valiant lady the sister ship to the Scarlet Lady . We leave out of Miami and and go to Puerto Plata , San Juan Puerto Rico, Saint Croix and Bimini . Love your videos ! Thank you so much !

I'm glad you both enjoyed it but from all be vlogs we've watched it just seem Virgin went out of their way to be different for different's sake. And it's expensive and more then we would want to pay. It will be interesting to see if they get repeat business after the novelty and gimmicks wear off.

I was septical too Carole, but having watched your series I am won over, if the price is manageable. I am a solo traveler, what do you think my experience would be like? Would be interested to hear your thoughts, and perhaps Jamie's too, as I believe he was travelling solo?
I was on Scarlet Lady Solo, was great. Met friends for life. Booked Valiant Lady solo too.
Agree price is key, and we were very happy with what we paid. It was a very happy and sociable ship so would imagine it would be good for solo travellers. @travelblogjamie may be able to add his thoughts?

It is certainly not for everyone, particularly if you like a more traditional cruise ship. 😀
