The overide for that to happen in all driving modes would most likely be if your friend decided to do the valve exhaust mod where you pull the fuse to leave it open all the time as supposed to only having the pops and bangs in R mode due to the valves being open but I really like that you have options to change it with a push of a button.
I know nothing about hondata or tuners in general, but how did you get your pops to sound more dampened in stage 2? Other videos I’ve seen of it, they sound like literal gunshots- something that is not street legal here in california

For the pops, it's only for R+ mode set by the hondata.

it should be fine but can cause some wear and tear if i would have to guess.
