Have a bit of an issue with the line of questioning around pharma and doctors. Shkreli stated that doctors are the ones giving patients the referrals for drugs, and that there's almost no advertising of most drugs to the public. This places the blame solely on the doctors for wrong/overpriced recommendations. What he left out is the incentives that the pharmaceuticals give to the doctors to pressure them into recommending the wrong/overpriced recommendations. The shitty doctors are to blame, but so are the pharmaceuticals.
@@GamingBlake2002 You're right, I missed that. I do. All of the people who virtue signaled about hating him don’t have the interest to look for him anywhere a week after the headlines die down. Anyone who still remembers him and was a fan of his was smart enough to understand the full picture of how his price hike worked, and that he didn’t really do anything wrong. Despite the faux outrage that the media portrayed, I think a few weeks after he was out of headlines, almost 100% of people he ran into were fans.
@@NothingElseMattersJM he got a felony for moving money around in a questionable fashion in his hedge fund. Nobody lost money and nobody cared. The actual outrage being referred to by Destiny is over his drug price hike which the media went crazy over. Martin didn’t do anything wrong there.
I just started this, but from what I recall reading years ago before he seemed like a far more humble guy then even most streamers nowadays. He probably did get better as anyone would but the initial media portrayal of him being a stuck up sociopath was wrong from the very beginning.
@@TheXxomasteroxx if you look into this his company raised prices but you could reach out to him if you couldn’t afford it and he would hook you up. I'm only 52 minutes in and this conversation is one of the most interesting things I've heard. How different groups acts based on ethnicity and religion is fascinating to hear about.
@@iflmedia6419 Remember watching his old crash course on investing, from what I can remember it was a really good starter. He is very blunt and has these special mannerisms which somehow makes him funny (probably unintentionally?). I don’t know if he has any mods but I remember him calling out specific people in chat and then taking like a minute banning them manually, back in 2016
Ross should get out?? My guy....i know he didn't actually kill the people but from his perspective they were dead and he continued to put hits out on other people. No he hasn't "technically killed anyone" but he thought he did and he was fine with it. That's kind of an odd take on the silk road thing
27:37 It's kinda like how you had Rousseau who got famous and didn't like it since his whole philosophical approach was that things like vanity were terrible... And then you later had Nietzsche who hated Rousseau and felt like everyone else was too stuck in their herd mentality to realize how great he was for telling them about his life changing philosophy...
I used to watch his streams in 2016 before he went to prison and he is different now. Back then I think he was still playing into the "pharma bro" role but now he just seems like a cool dude who likes learning and teaching different things.
I was in a pod with shkreli and he was the 3rd highest shot caller in Arayn brotherhood in the entire prison. I used to wash his draws and I made him a ramen spread to gain favor
4:30 It's actually the opposite if you are smart, what you are refering to is a high Superiorty trait, meaning you think you are better than everybody so you can't take feedback or even think of therapy.
Well his answer that doc´s should expect pharma producer to lie about there medication and just try stuff sounds pretty insane. I thought there was some step like testing but guess we can figure things out by trial and error.

I always thought that Martin Shkreli and Ben Shapiro were the same people
Prison sounds like a better place than Twitter
I feel like I already learned everything this dude said just by watching 60 days in
@destiny can you include the game title you are playing in these videos? Looks cool thanks!
If he took his shirt off you would see his body covered in prison tats
A lot of prisoners are lucky they didn't look at Shkreli the wrong way, they might have ended up dead.
What about Martin Shkreli though?
Big ass swastika on his back
Shkreli unironically making fun of narcissistic kids. Kettle, meet pot
I thought Shkreli was streaming from prison because of that shirt 😂
OMG it's Pharma Bro. The podcast Swindled has an amazing episode about him, highly recommend the listen.
never clicked on a video so fast
The cross over I didn't know I needed, definitely a solid talk.
Glad to hear from Martin again.
“Race car”
Fuckin’ LMAO
I like how many people in the comments think this is the first time destiny has talked with Martin before lol.
Check out the big brain on Calvin !
49:08 the chat after Martin said "Not many Asians in the prison"
I don't believe him when he says that he's mostly met with positivity, especially after he said "I guess you have an overactive imagination"
He was the king of trolling back in the day. You probably don't stick around on Reddit or twitter much
@@ThomasFoolery8 What do you mean he didn’t do anything wrong ? He got a felony conviction lol.
@@NothingElseMattersJM he got a felony for moving money around in a questionable fashion in his hedge fund. Nobody lost money and nobody cared.
The actual outrage being referred to by Destiny is over his drug price hike which the media went crazy over. Martin didn’t do anything wrong there.
love how august made it seem like Martin stabbed someone in the intro
“Hold ooooon dewd, I need a second for my VIDEO GAME” 🤓 🤓 💀
🤣
so refreshing from the actual brain rot convos recently. this was great
Such a great chat! He seems more grounded as a person following his stint in there.
Sober?
I just started this, but from what I recall reading years ago before he seemed like a far more humble guy then even most streamers nowadays. He probably did get better as anyone would but the initial media portrayal of him being a stuck up sociopath was wrong from the very beginning.
@@zenith2068 oh Sure He is a sweet Guy with strong Moral Guidelines who did nothing wrong :)
@@TheXxomasteroxx if you look into this his company raised prices but you could reach out to him if you couldn’t afford it and he would hook you up. If anything he’s one of the few examples of an individual of this class who you can tell really gave a shit about people. The media narrative surrounding him at the time was just overwhelmingly negative
@@zenith2068 lol
When he pitches his voice up he sounds like ray william johnson
Shkreli always gives off a surprising amount of boomer energy for someone in his position.
@SaucyFaz I mostly mean technologically
Im glad you're doing these interviews Destiny, but please show some respect and turn the game off or pause it. Many moments of you losing track of the conversation and awkward silences. Prepare some questions and give your full attention.
Now THIS is platforming.
It’s the most platforming I’ve seen
people just assume HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA
i am actually happy martin shkreli is out of prison at one point i spoke to him through one of his live streams he is actually not a bad guy and taught me a lot about finances
Lots of bad guys are freindly.
He could of done with teaching you some grammar as well.

Charisma isn't a mark of someone having a good character. Most of the worst people in history were extremely charismatic and likable. For example many people who met Hitler before the war remarked on how charming he was.
Can't wait for everyone to bring up how Destiny is "friends" with Martin Shkreli in future debates. Great discussion, of course.
"People just assume...MY NAME IS JOHN CENA!!!" hahaa
It's all fun and games until the lawyer tell you your facing 35 years. Most people will snitch and keep their mouth closed about it
Fucking niccceeee
Big Herc has a channel too who did prison in CA for 10years I think for bank robbery and talks about the racial politics that plays out in CA federal prisons. Super cool if you wanna do more content like this
True, I recommend Wes Watson as well! Atleast his old vids, I havent watched him for a good while... He made some interesting and entertaining videos about high security prisons for guys like me who knew nothing about american prison life
Big Herc is a boss !
can someone tell me why the price boosting he did was not immoral?

I just found out about the whole thing with the journalist he "dated" while in prison. Weird how I totally missed that. I guess it happened over two years ago, though. Did they talk about that during this interview? I might have been distracted while listening to this
can someone link martin's youtube channel? not in the description
I'm only 52 minutes in and this conversation is one of the most interesting things I've heard. How different groups acts based on ethnicity and religion is fascinating to hear about.
It is but imagine him talking to one of the prison RUclipsrs that have gone to max lvl prisoners, how much more interesting would that be
Holy shit haven’t realized how much I’ve missed Martin
He’s a scumbag why would you miss him!?
Actually curious why would people miss him? I mean this was a great conversation, but I'd rather he still be in prison for a longer period
@@iflmedia6419 Remember watching his old crash course on investing, from what I can remember it was a really good starter. He is very blunt and has these special mannerisms which somehow makes him funny (probably unintentionally?). I don’t know if he has any mods but I remember him calling out specific people in chat and then taking like a minute banning them manually, back in 2016
@@bozzez2911 those streams are fucking hilarious. He has such a low tolerance for mistakes and bs
Love your editor right now. Love this era of RUclips Steven :D
Do you know the game he is playing ?
Only thing missing is consistent time stamps
Ross should get out?? My guy....i know he didn't actually kill the people but from his perspective they were dead and he continued to put hits out on other people. No he hasn't "technically killed anyone" but he thought he did and he was fine with it. That's kind of an odd take on the silk road thing
The chat when John Cena's theme plays💀💀💀
27:37 It's kinda like how you had Rousseau who got famous and didn't like it since his whole philosophical approach was that things like vanity were terrible... And then you later had Nietzsche who hated Rousseau and felt like everyone else was too stuck in their herd mentality to realize how great he was for telling them about his life changing philosophy...

Where does Martin stream anyone know?

Destiny is a fantastic interviewer, I honestly love watching this type of content. Please do more my guy.
what game is destiny playing?

Martin really got good therapy in prison. Wow. So much growth.
I heard he gives you a free shank if you can do a good Fuentes impression
4:30 It's actually the opposite if you are smart, what you are refering to is a high Superiorty trait, meaning you think you are better than everybody so you can't take feedback or even think of therapy.
YAAAY IVE BEEN WAITING ON THIS SEQUEL FOR YEARS
The john cena interruption was goated
Well his answer that doc´s should expect pharma producer to lie about there medication and just try stuff sounds pretty insane. I thought there was some step like testing but guess we can figure things out by trial and error.
what is the game he is playing ?
