Very good advice and techniques for those people like me.but im here in middle east.I do it if I am vacation by December 2018.more videos and sharing to public concern.and more power to you.
Nice guy. I have a suggestion: use less powder and concealer, swap them to a dewy fixing spray to bring some life back to the skin and use some blusher... it’ll make the face look more natural.
Blush actually looks more natural on fairer skin, because fair skin usually does not tan. If you only burn in the sun, you should skip bronzer since bronzer creates more tanned skin
I’d recommend NYX cosmetics for a more fresher brow… it would accentuate a more grizzled look. And I’d torch a little under each eye with a booster brush for a more unique highlight. Other than that your face is beat like a rice cake… go you!
Great job!! I really like seeing men doing makeup. If you have combination or oily skin i recommend you to use gel moisturizers that does not content any oil. Keep using makeup I love it you did great
I have very good skin and am religious about using moisturizers day and night. I use a moisturizer designed for just under the eyes night and day, Loreal golden sirum, Loreal day moisturizer cream, and prolift Loreal moisturizer for neck. I use Loreal liquid make up in buff beige all over the face and neck which I apply with my hand. Over that I use Tom Ford bronzer (in my opinion the best) over face and neck. I use Loreal concealer (comes in a tube with a wick) in the lightest shade for under the eyes. I cover the concealer with a Loreal blush and the color is blush. I use Elizabeth Arden natural eyelash extender (night and day). It really makes the lashes really grow. I also use Loreal mascara in coal black. Several guys use Chanel neutral power (just under the eyes) to set the concealer and blush. I only use it under the eyes and not on my face because to me it's a make-up dead give away (especially for a guy). That's it! Comments??? A few of my guy friends are famous male models and they use a TON of stuff believe me....my "recipe" is mild compared to theirs!
Thanks. I am having modeling shots taken in about month. They have their own make-up glam squad. This requires a different make up approach altogether so you do not appear "shiny". I'll follow up.
You did a great job explaining technique, but it would have been good to know some more basics like: how to find your shade and such. But also you rock. Keep doing what you do.
I use a cream foundation, I'm not a fan of liquid foundations you don't get a good enough coverage with a liquid and it sweats off too. Cream foundations are thicker and stay on all day until you wash it off, so it's much more practical and cost effective choice. :) I use Graftobian cream foundation.
wow ur skin is so nice and glowing even without makeup. im jelly cuz i get lots of acne but i only use concealer cus i dont want more makeup to aggravated it. btw u did good with the makeup son and hella handsome as weell
I like the way you put your videos together. Tutorials where people talk and apply back and forth just go on for way too long. You're able to speed up the process and the voice over works great. Nice the way you show every product as well. A really nicely done video.
Andrew Roman Gartee I tried setting spray a couple of months after this video and always use it now. The Milani setting spray is my favorite! Smells so good and has a very nice mist 😊
Hi JakeGreat video. I like the idea of over the counter make up. Any thoughts on doing a video for a 50 year old male who's face is not so young and lovely as it was. I would definetly watch it.Mikel
The makeup looks amazing. You did a great job. My only issue is that it seemed like so many different products. How much did all of that cost? And can a guy get away with just using one or two products? I don't wear makeup now but years ago I did wear pressed powder from MAC which I loved.
Walter Van der Wahl I have links to all of the products I used in this. I don’t remember how much everything cost but I would think for all that I used it probably cost around $50-$60. And yes you could definitely get by with using only 1 or 2 products. Just the other night I used only concealer under my eyes and around the red on my nose and neck. Then I used some loose powder so it would stay on
clinique 8hr all day foundation...and a covergirl powder in matching color...easy to find...and order clinique direct from internet shipped to my home..👍 plus a very small amount of greatlash on my tiny eye lashes on special occassions..! 👍👍 Great to know other men willing to wear some type facial enhancements with cosmetics...! You go boii..! and yes, you look handsome as ever wearing your maybeline there bro..!!! 👍🏆👍
Great job on the video. Though I’d probably never do makeup, except on stage, I appreciate the fact you made it very no muss, no fuss. Plus, you’re quite handsome. That helps. And I love the Southern drawl and genuine nature you have. Don’t think the brows. They look very nice and distinguished. Shaping maybe, but the struggle is real. I trim mine all the time. #guyproblems
Hi Jake... the videos is really nice... I really like the fact that the products you are using in the video is so easily available and affordable price. you look great.... I am working on my makeup tutorial Chanel too.. I'm just hoping I'll do well as you did
Great job! I miss wearing makeup. Do you have large pores? When I use liquid foundation or even BB creme, it tends to sink into my pores on my nose and doesn't look great! My job now isn't suitable for makeup so I don't wear much, just powder to control oil.
cretnotonic I'm not sure if I do have large pores lol but I know using primer and a very loose powder makes my skin look blurry. Setting spray also helps my makeup from caking up during the day. Thank you for the comment 😁
Mousterizers for dry skin bring a higher content in oil ingredients because that is what dry skin types lack of, and u find this type in women. Men are more mixed or oil skin. Not to mention if u are given too much oil to your skin, it will cause unnecesary pimples. So using the Neutrogena shine control is a step u dont need to take if u would choose the right cream for your skin type.
You truly don’t need makeup. But if one is going to use it, I think it is important to use it like a pro. And that is what you do. I am not above using a product that gives me a bit of coverage (as a man of a certain age). Hence my interest in your tutorial.
I would like to wear makeup cauz I have oily skin and large pores, but can't see myself doing all this the morning! Any suggestions of a simplified method for a very light makeup with a natural look??
Have you ever considered not using foundation all over your face and only in the areas you need the coverage? I only use foundation in my t Zone - eyes nose - center of the face... since your not contouring per say, you could also consider during a slightly darker concealer.
john stolar I use to only use liquid MAC foundation under my eyes and around the redness on my face. Then I would use a foundation powder and lightly put it around the rest of my face and neck. I need to do that more often actually 😊
The way you put on all the make up is flawless... you are a beautiful person even without all that stuff.... go on with your life and ignore all the insecure bitches.. bitches got Badass...
Looks GREAT, but what happen when you sweat❓I'm oily and uses Clinique Matte Invisible power, which is white but on the face/skin, cannot tell it's there. IF I were to do this type of make-up and was at the dinner table with my parents, I believe both of them would drop dead.

Nice guy. I have a suggestion: use less powder and concealer, swap them to a dewy fixing spray to bring some life back to the skin and use some blusher... it’ll make the face look more natural.
Marco Dorian Menichini mmm feel like bronzer would be more natural looking than blush
Yeap bronzer instead of blusher but since you are very fair skinned be careful not to be too heavy handed with it.
Blush actually looks more natural on fairer skin, because fair skin usually does not tan. If you only burn in the sun, you should skip bronzer since bronzer creates more tanned skin

Yes!!!!! Ponds is the BEST!!! My grandmas both always use the cold cream and that stuff is magic.
Those facial expressions made me smile. I bet he is so funny
Burt's Bees BB cream is the best, natural, blends in , 9 in 1 !!
Great job!! I really like seeing men doing makeup. If you have combination or oily skin i recommend you to use gel moisturizers that does not content any oil. Keep using makeup I love it you did great
Jenuel Gonzalez thank you so much! I'll definitely get some gel moisturizer 👍
Don't wear makeup but I saw this and watched it. You look good but you look great without it too.
You are a doll face...love your sweet humble voice too!!! Much success in your endeavors.
SheElohim yevarach otha.😊
Ugh, he's so beautiful.

Thanks. I am having modeling shots taken in about month. They have their own make-up glam squad. This requires a different make up approach altogether so you do not appear "shiny". I'll follow up.
My dude, I really enjoyed your tutorial male make up video, great job!! Greetings from Mexico.
You did a great job explaining technique, but it would have been good to know some more basics like: how to find your shade and such. But also you rock. Keep doing what you do.
Try using a clear or brown/black mascara to go over you eyelashes that are covered with all that powder
Work it bro and never mind the haters 💕💕💕

Love this so much. 😊😁😉 now I am following your make up tutorial and I love it. 😍😘😘
Instead of mixing shade 101 & 103, can’t you opt for the 102 instead, if there is such a thing
I like the way you put your videos together. Tutorials where people talk and apply back and forth just go on for way too long. You're able to speed up the process and the voice over works great. Nice the way you show every product as well. A really nicely done video.

Just watched your video and fell in love!!! I'm a drug store guru and LOVE watching natural make face tutorials.
Loved the simplicity of it! 😙😙😙
I like it Jake but I think it's just a tad too much foundation . You are blessed with great natural brows and eyelashes .
i like the way you place make up on your skin...i wish i can do it by myself too...so hard to place make up
waao....I totaly loved this.....💕💕💕💕💕
I do something similar but will use a setting spray, UD or smashbox.
I would definetly watch it.Mikel
you are naturally so beautiful.
I love this guy!

Beautifull! Congratulations
Is it applicable for all type of skin? What about dark skin is it okay to use it?
Albert Santos they have darker shades for makeup. Just go to your local Walmart or drugstore and check it out 😁
Simple but i love it.

*Thin not think*
Great job, man !
You look great with make-up on :)! The shade is a bit too warm tone but still look nice on you.
I love that foundation too. You dont look like you need that much concealer though. Your undereye circle is already not that bad
thereadingsylph they’ve gotten worse over the years 👀😭
It think adding a little bronzer/blush might bring a little color to your face. Unless you want to go for that straight matte look.
HOW DO YOU GET THOSE PRETTY EYES????
Btw nice video, that looks fun
Adorable!
Hi Jake... the videos is really nice... I really like the fact that the products you are using in the video is so easily available and affordable price. you look great.... I am working on my makeup tutorial Chanel too.. I'm just hoping I'll do well as you did

Perfect for a natural look!

Dude, you are so handsome and your skin is perfect. You need no makeup.

I like you without the makeup your natural beauty is covered 😫...my holy grail is Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer with no powder.
I would like to wear makeup cauz I have oily skin and large pores, but can't see myself doing all this the morning!
Any suggestions of a simplified method for a very light makeup with a natural look??
