- The Brand New Custom Dynamics ProBeam Dynamic Led Vent Inserts For Road Glide's were just released during the 2019 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. I was fortunate to be able to get my hands on a set of these vent inserts a little bit early so that I could get them installed and create this video to share with you. I believe Custom Dynamics has done a fine job on these, I really like the way they look once installed, super clean and fresh.

I really appreciate your install videos. I installed the windshield trim lights with the vent inserts. Once I was done one side was working correctly on the vent trim. The other wasn't working. I found that by accident I had connected the wrong harness lead to the turn signal and to the vent trim connector. By accident I got the leads correct on the right side. This was also an important detail that custom dynamics left out of their instructions. The long single lead connects to the vent insert. The Y lead connects to the turn signal and power lead. The male lead goes to the power. Your videos helped me sort those things out. The same is true for the adapter for the windshield trim.

Nice Job Daniel, and an added benefit of the LED vent inserts: prior to installation, bugs, bees etc. have a clear route to the rider, with the grilles incorporated into the vent inserts, you still have the cooling airflow, but for the most part the grille will prevent most bugs getting through.

It's actually growing on me.. lol. I was not sure about the look at first but it is bright especially on high beam.. works great! The led vent inserts are awesome as well.. I really love the way these look and they really match the ProBeam headlight well.

Looks great. FYI, I think my Custom Dynamics led front signal lights are brighter than my street glide headlight. Now I need a new headlight.
Get their new headlight.. it projects light the direction that you lean.

I just got these! Ordered them a while back. Not released but were in a Drag book. Going to pick up my bike today from the shop. Excited to see how they look. Custom dynamics everything on my shark nose. None of my other led lighting are the pro beam version so I hope it looks good.
Oh yeah it will look good.. I think the only pro beam that really needs to match are the tail lights because they all have those tubes.
@@Touringmidwest After putting on close to 200 miles with these new lights so far, here are my thoughts: Pro - Looks great, bright, matches all the other CD components I already installed, fills in space nicely next to headlight (similar to Ciro Fang), custom dynamics = take my money please! Con: Loud Whistle! Super annoying at freeway speeds. I had to close my vents to get the noise to stop which is not ideal on hot days. I had Klockwerks vent grills before with no whistle. Also, Custom dynamics doesn't fill in the entire vent space, there is a gap on the outside. My Klockwerks filled in the entire space nicely. Just my 2 cents. I've e-mailed CD regarding the whistle so we'll see what they say.
@@captainsuburbia8956 I didn't notice the whistle that you mentioned when I was out yesterday (roughly 250 miles) you are correct about the gap though, I did think that was a little strange but it doesn't bother me too much. Hopefully you can figure out what is causing the whistle, I'll continue to listen for it and see if I notice anything.

The turn signals are so bright, the inserts doesn’t show up as well as I thought they would. I’m sure they will look better in person.
Yeah for sure.. you really can't see the screens at night but it looks super clean in the daylight.
Are you going to get the new probeam highway lights on the highway bars

Great product - just what I was looking for. I just purchased a 2020 Road Glide Ultra and need to fill those spaces on the outside of the light. This will be perfect. For 2020 - they eliminated the side vents so the screen portion will be nice for bugs and of course the added signals / running lights loo cool. I have not ridden at night yet, how did you like the stock lights? I really love most of CD lights but can't say I love the lights for the RG. I love the squared off top and bottom of the stock lights but I'm concerned how bright they will be at night.
The stock headlight on the RG is very good.. I think the brights on the CD headlight are like daylight the dims are probably pretty close to stock... both are great though. This vent trim is very clean...I really like it allot.

Touring Midwest I have purchased these side vents but have not installed yet. I have a concern that these vents are going to effect the aerodynamics of the Road Glide vents which work amazing! Have you noticed any change in the feel of the bike since installing? Thanks for any info! Your vids are a big reason I purchased some lighting upgrades for my ‘18 RG! Ride safe brother!
