I didn’t know what to expect from this entry level Trophy Truck, usually when I get a new rig I’ll go over everything and make sure all bolts are tight and everything working as it should… This time I decided to do a real world test and review by opening the box on location, fitting the battery and just seeing what we can expect from FTX straight out of the box!
Nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to experience!! This little Trophy Truck is absolutely amazing…. With tons of power, great suspension and fantastic handling right out of the box, this has to be one of my most favourite driving experiences with any RTR vehicle without any modifications.
The Apache comes 99% ready to run, supplied with a 3s Lipo battery, Lipo charger and Lipo charging sack… All you need to add are 4 AA batteries for the transmitter. With a RRP of £289.99 it’s definitely high up on my top 10 list of must have cars so far this year!

And yes as other comment, why did not apache get a centre diff like zorro. Surely a later car with improvements should have had one.
I’d say purely to keep the cost down. But I honestly really liked the way it handled, very predictable (although it was icy with zero grip, so hard to judge)
It's a shame they didn't put a centre diff in it, like the later brushless Zorro, but it doesn't seem to affect the handling at all. Looks great, and goes the same. I'm still waiting for someone to try putting the Apache shell on a Zorro, as I'd like to put a new one on my Zorro. 😎👍🏻
The lack of a centre differential doesn’t seem to bother it, especially not for bashing around, I had an absolute blast with it 😃

How did you get it to reverse ? Mine wont do it, just brakes and stops lol
Maybe calibrate the TX, or there might be a jumper plug on the esc that you can move, if it’s set to race mode you won’t have reverse
