@@Johnny6ex Vitavon are a machine shop I’d presume, there is a lot more research and development needed to build an rc than just make hop up parts. But you would never know, it’s not the first time a hop up manufacturer started making RC’s.. look at Tekno

That’s fantastic to hear from you 😃 I knew someone would pick up on the video sooner or later 😎 What a fantastic build 😍 I remember following the MSUK Forum build blog, I remember my jaw dropping in awe of how beautiful it looked, I remember pricing everything and at that point decided I’d just have to look at photos of it 😂 Couldn’t believe when I seen it for sale still in shelf queen condition!!! 🤩 I couldn’t pass it up 😎 But I’ve looked at it and admired it for too long, it was begging to let that suspension work 😂 I’ve added protection where I could, have the arms and drag links covered with clear protective film, and has taken no damage on the Astro track. It did have a few issues but I think I have them at least improved if not completely sorted… looking forward to getting it out again to hopefully see its full potential without constantly diffing out to the front that the pin was missing from.

I honestly can’t take credit for this one, if you search online for Traxxas UDR full option Vitavon Build you’ll be able to follow the complete process. It was the UK Vitavon stockist that created this, I followed the series and promised myself if it ever came up for sale that I’d have it…. My luck was in when a year or so back I noticed it on facebook marketplace for sale, still in new condition have spent its life on a shelf. I myself had it on a shelf too but could only look at for so long without running it 😃 I’m hoping I have the teething problems sorted now and looking forward to trying it again only this time with 4WD actually working 💪🏼 Here’s the link to the original build www.msuk-forum.co.uk/forums/topic/244076-traxxas-udr-full-option-build/

Tyres, ground clearance, centre of gravity, motors/esc and the servos. Great for starting out and probably ideal for woodland trails but just not cut out for this sort of thing without a lot of mods

It sounds like you need to lower it, put weight in the right places, make it more powerful and make it work

I asked Lee the other day, he just says he’s not had a chance to come up for air with work. The last message I got was “I can see the top of the hill now” So hopefully not much longer 😊

Hopefully not as I spent a lot of money on buying the donor vehicle very frustrating

@@rdrc4586 i understand your frustration but it’s out of my hands, it really is unusual for him to be so busy, but went from seeing him at every race or bash session to not seeing him for months at a time. Hopefully light at the end of the tunnel 🤞

I was going to swap wheels but if you do that then need to start changing servos, motors etc I’ve seen these things with mods carried out and they can perform, just thought I’d show an honest video, I just set the markers out and what you see is first attempt. I tried my best to get the ravine to crawl 😃

@@GooseADV never experienced those issues thankfully, have to say, I’m not very impressed with GoPro, there seem to be tons of issues

Using SkyRC Noble NB4, and that no.5 gate really made a fool out of me 😂😂

They are both great but the suspension definitely needs a bit of fettling for all out performance (it’s fine if you’re wanting to carry a load) Personally i absolutely love the 6x6

@@LeanderVanhulle I don’t have any plans to, a friend that owns a machine shop had said he was going to do a run of them but he’s been so busy that he’s not had time. If they ever become available, I’ll post a video. Wish I could help more but it’s out of my hand’s unfortunately

I have extra brass and have tried more weight in the front, it was too much and made it terrible for descending, it’s pretty much dialled now 😃 Too much weight isn’t a good thing, same as too little. I’ve since modified the front bumper as it was getting hooked on everything

@@TimsRcsurgery oh wow. I run mine on 1/8 scale track and all the jumps are big not 1/10 friendly.

@@bombshell31600 we don’t really have any competitions here but I have a few markers to set out and a few high end all out crawlers to pit it against 😃

Just a little brass on the outside of the middle axle, other than that it’s stock, slightly front bias but without the brass on the middle axle it was too nose heavy

@@TimsRcsurgery ok cool, for your terrain I would recommend pro line super swampers tsl in predator compound with 3d printed inserts of your choice...just make sure that whoever you get them from knows the weight of the crawler so they are not stiff... good luck!
