Made my first trip to your fantastic island in June and video's like this were a major contributor to the decision. Spent all of our 4 days in the Southern part but am hooked. Can't wait for an opportunity to return! You, good sir, are truly an inspiration! Thank you!!
Great video, Adam! I always enjoy going on your adventures without the hard effort that goes into setting up camera, walk by, walk back, get camera, setup again, walk by… repeat 10 times! Take care!
Thanks for taking us along! I am from the Fraser Valley but I live on the other side of the Rockies now. Your hikes through the coastal forest brings me home. Thanks!
I really appreciate that you included the RAW file information. It really helps me to learn a lot, and helps me to make better decisions. Those mountains you’re in on this video are similar to my local mountains here in northwest Montana. I try to only carry one lens on those multi-day backpacking trips and find a wide angle zoom (16-80 range) to be most useful in these mountains. Other mountains I’ve been in seem better suited to telephoto zooms (70-210 range).
Dear Adam, thank you so much for this Present, full of positive energy, much appreciated after a long working day! Looking forward to reading your last book, purchased some months ago 😉
Hi from France Adam, Thanks for sharing your hikes. I really enjoy this new format. You must be a hell of a hiker to shoot those videos : all the walking up and down they involve to film yourself and get something coherent 👏👏👏. And as I probably never go to Canada, I really enjoy discovering Vancouver Island trough your eyes. 👍
Good morning Adam. Made me smile to see you exploring one of my favourite areas on the Island. And yes, you were at the correct little scramble above you. The high point you could see above you is where I camp, there’s usually no water but that means less bugs. And 360 degree views, including a beautiful view of the main summit of Tom Taylor and the glacier below.
13:18 your tent zipper isn't down all the way, you said you were worried about wind with your tent and having it not fully zipped puts pressure on the zipper and could cause it to fail! The trip looks awesome though, beautiful area
I'm really enjoying this newer type of video - the scenery on these hikes of yours is amazing. I'm guessing Dan is quite happy with the 'free' advertising as well 🙂 😉
Wow, just finished watching, what a spectacular trip! Thank you for all the effort you put into sharing the beauty of our little home called earth, it makes a difference!
I am utterly stunned. That was a wonderful video, great images, fabulous location. I envy you being able to make these trips. Thank you for taking us along.
Great video. I have backpacked to Bedwell Lakes and Cream Lake which is another great place to camp. Looking forward to more of your outdoor adventures.
Dreamy trail and images! Definitely worth the cold to avoid the bugs I'm sure, though you could probably use a Sherpa buddy to help carry warmer equipment. I imagine it would be hard to carry any more weight by yourself on a hike like that, even though you are very fit! Great production!!
Some lovely Autumnal images, Adam. Bedwell Lake certainly is a lovely area. I haven't been there for quite a few years now, but I got some great images on the way up towards Mt Septimus (which included views to distant Della Falls) that adorned my walls for many years. You're inspiring me to do more in the area - I've been looking at Parker Ridge for a while and will aim to do that next year once the snow melts. And I've found that quite a lot of the "trails" in Strathcona are basically scrambling routes.
Enjoying these trips alot. Beautiful intro with just music and the hike. With regards to the cold nights in the tent I may have a solution for you. I've used the Thermo Pads that you can use vor back pain. In addition you can use the Thermo Pads for the foot soles. Worked great for me and it lasts 6 hours and did not add any weight to the back pack. Thanks vor taking us with you on the trips
I do not understand how this video is 5 hrs long. Such a nice hike and views! Adam, I just hurt ny knee and being using trekking poles. But ai just saw your tripod/monopod/trekking pole. What brand/model is it? Thanks (I have only seen this in cheap crappy tripods)
Really stunning photos, Adam! As usual. On Day 3 how do you lighten and brighten the trees and related forestry while maintaining the blue sky? Do you mask each of them and then edit them individually? And, I can’t remember if you ever use Capture One Pro? Thanks so much for all you share!
Beautyfull shots Adam . You live in a wonderfull part of Canada and you do a great job showing it with your photos . ( I wonder why Gavin moved so far a way ...)
Great stuff! I just recently moved to the Island, after spending over 25-years filming across Alberta your work has really been inspiring for me to get out and explore. It would be great to sit down and do an interview with you one day!
At times, when out on Vancouver Island I wonder, what is Adam up to this weekend? Love this ultralight phase you’re going through. Great stuff! ………“New” vehicle?
Glad you’re back out in the woods. Fall is incredibly beautiful in the north west. Always enjoy your videos. I noticed you were not driving the photo bus. New truck?
@@QuietLightPhoto for us hikers and photographers it is very interesting but I have always only found things of very poor quality... I look forward to the next video!!!

Video of a trip, complete with challenges and scenery, then the uninterrupted payoff of beautiful photos. Brilliant!
This is what it's all about. Out in the mountains. The photography is a bonus.
Thanks!

My pleasure 😊
Wow Adam, beautiful shots of amazing trees and landscapes, your work greatly inspires my bonsai!!!!
Happy to hear that!
As always- great video! Regular follower here, watching over your shoulder from across the Strait, Olympic Nat'l Pk, Port Angeles, WA., USA! Be safe!
Love the video! Love the mountain exploration! I just got back from a trip myself and this was the first video in my queue.
Great, thanks!
That's quite the hike. Who needs a fridge when you've already got a freezie. Kudos to you.

Beautiful images. Seems to me that you are going deeper in the wilderness recently. We see more uncommon scenary, thank you.
That's a beaut ute you have there Gibbsy. A Toyota as well, so it should be able to handle those bumpy roads without falling apart.
MMMM Toyota 😊 Love the tiny island at 4:28 🤩 a beautiful adventure 🙂
The best!

FLM I’ll have a video out this week about the tripod
Hello Adam, where did you get the handle to turn your tripod leg into a walking stick?
FLM I’ll put out a video about the tripod this week

I’ll often increase the exposure and mid tones and bring down the highlights. Then add a small curve for contrast.9
@@QuietLightPhoto Thanks Adam for the instructions! Much appreciated.

Sure happy to do so
Have you ever encountered bears on such tours? I don't think it's entirely safe in these regions
Sure lots of times. Bears are misunderstood on the whole they stick to themselves and avoid human contact.
At times, when out on Vancouver Island I wonder, what is Adam up to this weekend? Love this ultralight phase you’re going through. Great stuff! ………“New” vehicle?
Yes new wheels
Nice video as always! still using Osmo pocket 3 for vlogging? what is your opinion after quite some time of using it? thank you :)
For sure, I use it all of the time. It’s a nice bit of kit
beautiful place and great photographs. What happened to Delica?
I still have it
Glad you’re back out in the woods. Fall is incredibly beautiful in the north west. Always enjoy your videos. I noticed you were not driving the photo bus. New truck?
Yep new vehicle
Beautiful video Adam! Did you see any wildlife up there?
Not on this trip
Is it? Could it be? No. Adam didn't get a new truck did he?
I was wondering the same thing!
Adam joined the Toyota Tacoma Club? Not exclusive, we let anybody in😊.
Is it a new old truck? 😫
I guess 2023
Did you get rid of your van?
No I still have it
Tripod/mountain stick????? Great….brand?
FLM I’ll have a video out about it this week stay tuned
@@QuietLightPhoto for us hikers and photographers it is very interesting but I have always only found things of very poor quality... I look forward to the next video!!!
Have you been hanging around with Thomas Heaton 😁. 7 minutes.
Not lately
@ Oh! I thought you might have collaborating with Capt. B Roll 👍😀
