The 'vaal orb for dummies' I never knew I needed. I understood that you needed to do it last because you couldn't craft it anymore after, but I guess I wasn't clear that it could mess up your item. I also didnt know what all it could be applied to.
I want to note that there's not negative comments as far as I can see, and yet this video has almost half as much dislike. People just want to be mad at someone.

I didn't know they would change fixed stats on an item. I had slammed five into items and only got a new implicit or extra socket. Pretty sweet stuff. Yesterday I bought an amazing Dual String bow that had 290-403 phys damage with some attack speed for 40 exalts. Felt like a steel! I slammed a vaal orb into it and it replaced 210% increased damage to 187 accuracy. That hurt so bad. Now Im back to my shitty bow that barely clears T12 and T13.
Tbh your vids are great for me as a new new player. I am not looking to be the 100% elitist sigma super player like the community wants us to be or the very least that’s what I got to understand from the hate you guys get in the comments. You guys run a business and do you thing in clickbaiting because it’s your job and that’s how the system works, but even if you it’s not a crime and most of the builds or content are good enough to use and digest as a new player. Most of his videos are fine, but what people in the POE community don't like is the claims that it is the best, believe me, it is not just 1%. Our community holds our content creators accountable for this kind of stuff, that's why we have great content creators with great builds and guides. If you just let people do this, the content will become shit and will be very hard for new players to find good stuff. I think it is a I5 issue, or windows bloat apps running something in the background or everything combine. also : - Windows- with their new "power saving"- could also change the "game mode" and lower any other application to 1% or barely has it working in the background. The setting is super stupid since it has no priorities and might lower game internet connection since it runs side by side with the game apps, and the game mods thinks is not part of the game. - Or maybe you are lucky is just the heating and you may need to change your cooling pasta. "reason i say it, my intel start to be slow around last year on my other pc, funny is, all the above was fault. I had to have someone help me change the "power saving/game mode setting"

Never played games like poe and instarted with poe 2, and after a few days i understood rng is well but xou just play market simmulator and buy your gear. Im lv 91 now doing the tier 15+ tier 18 maps and got all my gear that way
I hate using it. Fucked up my main weapons a couple of times. But then got a slot on an even better weapon. So i got lucky in the end. It said hey stop using that 26 weapon in maps 🤣🤣
Bricked 2 very very good weapons for an extra stat or a third socket. 3rd option would have been corrupted and no change. But yeah it was the 4th option on these 2 crossbows… 😏🤮🙃 - but time heals all wounds… 😄
i don’t think chances are weighed equally. I’ve only done vaaling with maps and some uniques. with maps i got about 1/20 success upgrading from t15 to t16. majority were losses. same for uniques.

Crafting is completely broken in this game. I've spent hundreds of exalts and bricked so much gear. Then when I finally craft something good I cant use it because I can't take the runes out of my other gear to adjust resistances. They really didn't think this through
What? You must not of played Poe 1. People would spend weeks trying to craft the pieces they wanted. And runes are so common I don't pick most of them up.....

Is POE like this, ? Main reason I left Diablo 4 is that at the end of the season my builds are basically trash. I don't mind starting the new season making a new seasonal character. But the fact that all my previous builds aren't even playable really, This is just depressing honestly.
For the most part in Poe 1 no major changes that break builds unless big season/expansion comes out. But people are quick to forget this is beta anything can change.

Naaaah I'm using vaal orbs on all my best gear lol. Ita thw difference between using a bit of gear for a few levels to most of a play through. Got some crazy rolls using them
I just hit 80 and did my first t10, the couple extra points let me finally fix my stun threshold problems, now I only die to freezing, which is the next target I am leveling toward on the tree. A few points or a good item upgrading one that was just mediocre can make a big difference
@konnichi1wa I'm at the same point, resistances are so vital after T10 as more mobs hit you with everything. I also focused on some evasion and better quality gems to socket in my tree and DPS has doubled.
Vaal orb seems to work more in favor for the player than bricking items compared to poe1. Most of my corrupted items have given me +rune slot, more damage on a weapon, or some implicit that boosts damage or defense. Vaal orbs… Love it!
There is a place to do it that doesn't involve so much risk. If you have a weapon that is clearly superior to another but then have one that is close it's not really a risk to vaal it and see if it can jump ahead. I'm very risk averse and this is a way to still use it without taking chances with your best stuff.

Before gulping down every word from this channel on Poe2 you might want to check out the callout video from Lily. A considerable portion of info in these guys’ videos is simply not correct and/or misleading. They portray themselves as experts and label their videos “Best this” and “Best that” for views (Atlas tree in currency farm video is a great example). Don’t take my word for it - check her video yourself :) I’d recommend sticking to guides from well known PoE1 creators such as Fubgun, Raxx and Steelmage as they’re simply more knowledgable and provide more accurate guides and information.

when I used a vall orb I lost the 25% speed modifier to a 20% armour and let me tell you... that really hurt!!!

Just press alt, that weapon doesn't have +20 accuracy as a prefix, it's a hybrid affix that gives both accuracy and %Phys damage..

How the hell are you all playing T15 maps? All Enemies are practically one shoting me even at T5 with a lvl 75 character.
Defenses? Capped res, es, mom ci
More points in the tree is more power, better gear and probably better gems/sockets
