Dude is not wrong about the show being good but I feel he really undersells the characters and the quality of their writing. I can understand it's a little hard to see past the fan service, especially since season 1 really only does the setup, the manga is much further along, but if you can set that aside you realize, this shit is really well written.
I've never read the mange, pretty much all my videos are speaking solely on the content the anime offers, and the anime adaptation has been pretty bare bones narratively up until this point... that said, I AM glad that the manga is doing things with their characters... like I said in the video, the have a TON of potential from just what I've seen!
@@ScruffMuffin Fair enough. This series is extremely character driven which always takes a bit of time to get to cruising speed so just these 13 episodes are only going to give you a taste of what's come. Everything happens because of the characters, what they want, how they feel, what they do and how they react to it all. I feels this starts to be perceptible in the 2nd half of the season but it's still just a start. I hope we get a season 2 so you can see what it's got to offer.
A 5k subs channel casually making a video of a 300k subs quality channel. Subbed. Also, Sulfur is the best character and you didn't even talk about her. Her best moments aren't even lewd, her having to act lady-like because she's an idol superhero and he hates that is one of the best things. Her recruition scene is legit ma favourite in the anime.
Ngl you're right, I did casually forget to talk about her. She kinda didn't have THAT much story relevance, but her "done with everyone's" shit attitude is just 👌
I mean, all we see of her up until she meets Utena is her try to kill Utena, and then we see a flashback as to how she got recruited to be a villain... not EXACTLY sure where that'd be super obvious... unless it because there's no guys in the show like AT ALL.... in that case.... Touché...
Magical Girl genre of ecchi has been around since Harem Rom Coms. Ever heard of 90s and early 2000s OVAs like Jungle De Ikou as well as Puni Puni Poemy.

This show is peak.... And about analysing the show... If you do that you can see it's actually psychologically accurate... The only thing it was missing was crispy animation (since they mostly used still images... Except for jiggle physics) ... Let's hope they green lit the season 2 and* put more frames and make it smoother next season
i love the anime and manga, i'm going to buy it once it reach latam, utena represent (at first) the average mahou shoujo fan (hell i feel awkardly in sync with her) and her grow turn her into one of my favorite protagonist, she's an smart mf, after the first arc she start to undertand her role, and work arround the plans of venallita.
from what I've heard the manga does take them a lot further than the anime adaptation has so far... I HOPE they'll give it a season 2... BUTTT I won't hold my breath given the state of mainstream eyes on anime at the moment lmao
@ScruffMuffin darn right, I am. But then again, when that came out, I was unaware of its release, but I did sorta like gushing over magical girls, while yes, it did lack some development (ex:why did they hide kiwi X amount of stars? Was she with said villans that turned on her) also love this video since it made me subscribed hope to see some videos like this once in awhile
If i had a dollar for every time someone said Azure (and normal fucking English word mind you) or Magia wrong, id be as rich as these based devs are. (Also yes, the girls being loners who weren't given enough attention is yhe point of why they are the bad guys. Notice how the magical girls aren't like that. Its intentional, neglected people often end up with shadey friends or organizations)

Didn't Sulfer say that

kiwi just needed that lover to no need attention from everyone and it was obvious that she was gay from the start

Nah; Illya Prisma, take it or leave it.
We lived in a lucky time during the 2000s and 2010s.
Today with SONY controlling Frunchyroll, we have to look harder for our enjoyment.
Time to set sail
Came watching it for "Plot", stayed for actual plot, cause it's funny silly on top of it. In a good way, surprisingly.
6:47 yt at its peak taking down audio cuz you've earned like 3 euro cents or some shite
Correct, the whole joke ended up being completely eliminated because of that 🥲 good thing I have an unedited version still up on a different website

Just one more thing. They're 14. Except Korisu. She's 6.
The main reason I liked this anime was actually because the protagonists are unhinged psychopaths.
I need this man to talk about chained solider and its manga🤣
