Because they are the need of the hour. Guwahati city has tremendous problem of traffic congestion, so as to overcome this roads are being widened in several parts of the city and where widening is not possible due to lack of space flyovers are being constructed. Only if we have some developed infrastructure such as roads , we would be able to attract investment

This is not new. Old wine Ina new bottle. The project was mulled and budgeted during Tarun Gogoi government. It took more than 10 years to reach here. We are yet to see the actual work.
