I also love it that you don’t edit out flubs! I find it very distracting to see videos with almost every word edited. I know many creators do this to shorten videos which increases the likelihood it will be watched. But I would rather watch a video that is longer rather watch a video that is heavily edited. Plus you are so fun to watch 😂
Ooooohhhhh. I'd love to see Charlotte's take on this! She's hilarious and this subject is just downright ridiculous. I can't figure out why these companies do this, especially when it sometimes even takes smaller companies out (looking at you bite beauty). I guess there might be cost increases on certain ingredients that make it more expensive or something so it's either raise the price a lot or reformulate? I was just looking into trying alima powder foundation and all I saw were comments about how they recently downsized the product by 30% but kept the price the same. Maybe they did that because they didn't want to reformulate their most popular product?

Thrive has my fave tubing mascara so far. The new(ish) KVD one is okay but it is a bit clumpier. I love tubing mascaras because they are the rare breed that doesn’t crawl all over my face during the day. I have oily eyelids so most just smudge and flake from the start.
I will say I like the cooler Mario pallet and got it. I just traveled with both and only grabbed the cooler pallet. I also don't own some of the others you mentioned. I do understand what you say on having these colors in other pallets (if I owned and was rich! 😊).
I love tubing mascaras, but I also apparently have Niagara falls for eyes, because even waterproof mascaras are smudged and under my eyes I under an hour. It's bizarre since I my eyes do not tear up, nor do I touch them. My recommendation for tubing mascaras is to also try the Caliray. It is my favorite, watch out though the first few applications can be wet and smudge, but after a few days of being open it dries a little and works great
Gah! Now I have to find the Tom Ford Daydream quad, because that will look FABULOUS with my eye color and skin tone. Damn you Charlotte! :grin: As for tubing mascaras: being a very hooded eye girl and also having somewhat oily skin, I find that tubing mascara doesn't give me raccoon eyes because it just doesn't budge until I take it off. The ease of removal is also a plus, but because I always have some good oil-based makeup remover on hand (MAC's eye makeup remover), it's not much of an issue to remove any other kind of mascara. I just wish that more brands would be clear about whether or not their mascara IS tubing, but I'm guessing that it's something that is off-putting to the average consumer if that specific type of formula isn't what they want. I've heard that the new Lisa Eldridge mascara is tubing....but only in a round-about way. Anyway, as always I love your videos and I watch pretty much every single one you put out. Between the information you give, the products you wear in your videos, and your absolutely smashing sense of humor, you are top of the heap for me when it comes to beauty and makeup influencers. Keep doing what you're doing, beautiful woman!! We love to see it!
After waiting for years I finally pulled the trigger on the new Dyson and it’s GORGEOUS in person! The buttons are a beautiful dusky violet that compliments the rose gold and soft pink tones. They really knocked it out of the park with this new colorway. Highly recommend if you’ve been waiting.
Oh I've been waiting but my bank account says no until pay day! Been dying to get my hands on one as I now have really long hair after years of having a pixie cut. 😊
The best tubing mascara for me is Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara. I love it for how it looks on my eyelashes and for how easy it is to remove it. I truly recommend to try it 👍
I wish I got the hype with tubing mascaras. I’ve seen demos of how it just slips right off with warm water but that’s never been my experience. I actually find them kind of hard to remove and a bit traumatic besides because I’m never sure if I’m pulling out actual lashes. 😂

Here’s what I like about tubing mascara- I don’t have raccoon eyes after 20 minutes! That’s the only reason I use them as I don’t think the performance ( length fluttery lashes volume etc) is as good as some of my favorite regular mascara. But the smudging problem is real for me at age 72. 🤷♀️

I’m a grease ball. I live in a HoT and HuMiD climate and UD had me up to serum. Cuz all them claims go out the window if serum is involved. I have enough trouble with skin much less a coating of serum.
Tubing mascara formula is my absolute favourite. No smudge, no flake-off, but mostly, I love the easy removal. Picture washing your face and not getting black smudge all around your eyes that you have to remove vigorously! Agree though, there aren't many advertised as tubing out there.
Ooo I love a tubing mascara, cos my lovely long lashes transfer most of mascara to (now wait for it) my upper lid 😮. I now use & LOVE Beauty Pie tubing mascara & it’s the best ever! Please give it a go any of my long lashie lovies xxx
Yes that's why we love tubing mascara! I can't wear any regular mascara it all melts into panda eyes because i have my own built in oil makeup remover, thanks oily eyelids! Even waterproof mascara gets melted by my oil slicks for eyes, and it's super hard to fully remove at night. Tubing mascara solves all my problems except it doesn't hold a curl as well since it's kind of heavy and it's hard to find a formula that gives lots of wispy length. The tubing aspect makes it a little heavier by nature, and poor formulations can tend to flake over the day. I think people want to know your recommendations because you love mascara and review so many mascaras!
I am totally a tubing mascara girl, I live in a hot humid climate and almost every other mascara smudges during the summer/early fall months and tubing mascara doesn’t. My fave is the Trish McEvoy, though I have heard that the Thrive is excellent.
I use tubing mascaras 100% for ease of removal. Idc how much I washed my face, there'd always be leftover mascara that showed up the next morning. Just camping there like I hadn't even tried. Tried a tubing formula, haven't looked back. My current is Milani but I anticipate trying the Tarte at some point because i don't think Milani will be as easily available where I'm moving to. I'd never had smudging issues before or after, but I also don't wear the same amount of mascara that you do so idk if it'd prevent that. Never hurts to give it a try, and I'll be looking forward to your review of the Tarte if you do end up giving it a try.
The only makeup items tempting me lately are the Patrick Ta blushes. The rest... well, no, not really. But I love hearing from you that I don't need them...
So i tried the Tarte tubing mascara. OMG!!!! I am shook. I normally get smudging from even waterproof mascaras after a few hours (apart from Lancome Monsieur Big waterproof) but the Tarte one does NOT MOVE. No flaking, no smudging, nothing, not even after 10 hours of wear. it also gives some volume. Not sure how it will wear in the hotter weather, but for now, it absolutely is my new HG. I normally have terrible luck with mascaras not staying put, so I am very pleased
The W A lipsticks were a biggly disappointment. I must put balm first to make a lipstick work? As you said, I just want to “whack it on and go.” Back to my Lisa Eldridge and Guerlain lipsticks.

“ Thrive Causemetics” (yes, it’s spelled purposely that way) I believe is the gold standard, and OG of tubing mascara👍! It actually lives up to its claims of no flakin or TRANSFERRING , and I’m 58 , so oily lids w/any mascara is challenging at best 💁♀️. Tubing mascara is quite popular here in the U.S. , and Thrive is the benchmark if you want a great wear , removable, and results 🤩. Highly recommend 👌👏!!
Tubing mascaras are definitely back. I love the ease of removal and I'm looking for options. I love the one from Iconic London, but it's not always easy to get in Denmark and it's quite expensive. Right now trying the Maybelline sky-high, but it's not as good. Doesn't even seem totally tubing tbh
It is definitely hard to find a good tubing mascara in Europe, as half of them don't clearly disclose they are tubing mascara's as Charlotte said, and brands like Thrive aren't sold here. I wasn't too impressed with the Maybelline either... My favourite is still the Clinique high impact zero gravity mascara, maybe give that one a go? It sucks that tubing mascara's don't hold the curl, but it's still better than panda eyes! 🐼

There’s nothing I love more than seeing what’s new in makeup while being told all of the reasons why I don’t need it! And every now and then there’s something where I disagree on every single point. “No, I don’t have a dozen X”, “No, this sounds perfect for my skin” and so on. And then I know I can actually buy that one!
I usually prefer s tubing macara to be honest ❤and easier to remove ...and application ease . I teally like the Volumm I get. 😂😅Why a different Color after you paid all that money for Dyson ...they are trying to get to you 😊

Just wanted to say your videos are amazing! I was getting ready to do a huge hair product haul because one of my favorite brands was having a 40 percent off sale. The thing is this isn't the best time for me financially. It's an ok time but not the best time. After watching your videos and applying the same logic you were talking about I got my cart down to just two items. Which honestly made me feel a lot more comfortable.
I was interested in the Supergoop skin tint, but then Lisa Eldridge revealed a skin tint so will be getting that instead! I used to be big into UD foundations back in uni years ago, I must have used tons of bottles of All nighter and Stay Naked, but have not used UD for a good few years. I didn't think they would come out with a new foundation, i would have loved that in college but now I am more of a light-medium coverage person
I love the tubing mascara for the ease of removal. I put the tubing one on first and then whatever other mascara I’m into at the time. Removal is a breeze.
Favorite tubing mascara: Thrive Causemetics. Why I love tubing? Doesn’t smudge on me and comes off with a double cleanse. Also makes my lashes look amazing when they’re not.
Get ciele skin tint instead of supergoop it’s more perfecting and longer wearing apparently. And apparently the huda glosses are like the Fenty ones with pigment and texture
Tubing mascara. I finally tried, and it saved me from looking like I had 2 black eyes by the end of the day. Mascara transfers so bad on me. Honestly at this point Ive tried them alllllllll...from high dollar to low. And at the end of the day I LOVE the Milani...cheap and love.
Dyson Airwrap has been one of the best investments I have ever made! Definitely! My husband gifted me one of the first, and two years later I struggled to find the tube that works both directions, because it fits also the old model. Then I found it on eBay, and now I’m the happiest girl on earth!😄BTW, my husband bought it in Dec 2019. And it still works perfectly
Same here! I have the first edition true original: silver and hot pink, when early reviewers were a mess lol. I never liked the colors but didn't know they would come out with more. I broke down and got a second one (gifting the pink or resell) not just bc of the color but new attachments and 20% off. The purple tempted me but I folded like a cheap suit when they released the Prussian Blue/Rose Gold. Some of these colors actually are limited edition. This new rose gold is soft and subdued but the bright blue makes me happy. Dyson changed the game for my curly hair and I have never regretted it for a moment!
Hi Charlotte, I have really oily eyelids and I basically suffered with smudgey eye make up forever, until I swapped to a tubing mascara. Even using eyeshadow primer before, with a non-tubing mascara, still, panda eye mess. Tubing saved my make up LOL :D I use the Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions x
Tubing mascara’s are the only mascara’s that don’t smudge at all under my eyes. Some normal mascara’s are better than others but at one point in the evening they all smudge a bit.
My FAVORITE tubing mascara is the Thrive Causmetics Liquid Lash Extensions mascara. Its wonderful! In a heavy teal tube and it clicks closed. It lasts so well on me! My bottom lashes always smudge or flake but this comes off super easily because I have sensitive eyes and I hate scrubbing at my eyes. I get volume and length with it and I put it on in two coats! ❤
Re Tubing Mascara: It’s all I ever wear nowadays for exactly the reasons you mentioned. My fave is Hourglass Unlocked and fave bargain one is Beauty Pie Wrapstar. Sadly my mum passed a month ago and I’ve been in floods every day ever since. Both the above mascaras haven’t failed me at all. In addition they provide lift, length and volume, although I have been using the Glow For It eyelash serum for over a year. Hope this helps! Lots of love ❤xx
I just bought 6 lip balms to stock up before they discontinued the old ones but I’m also interested in a couple new shades too. I’m just afraid they will discontinue the old formula completely. I actually have a very lacking lipstick/ balm collection 9 total. Only 1 pink which isn't quite my shade and a few that are just unique. I won't be buying anything soon but the YSL is added to my wishlist. They look amazing and would love to buy a shade to help fill my collection.
I love the Victoria Beckham mascara - the original in the black tube. It is tubing mascara. I love that it doesn’t transfer to my under eye - it wears great. I also like the Clinique bottom lash tubing mascara. The little brush lets you apply without accidents! Your humor is right up my lane! (In the US, we say “alley”) my husband fully supports your “do I need it videos”!
I love the Mac Stack mascara. And their lips & blush products. I’ll wait for you to review these. I adore the Tartelette tubing mascara. Some people say it’s hard to remove but I don’t find it to be difficult. I love tubing mascara. The first brand I ever tried was from Thrive. They are the OG of tubing mascara. As someone who has oily eyelids, tubing mascaras solve a lot of problems for me: flaking, smudging, and transferring. I like waterproof mascara but it can dry my lashes out if I use them every day. As for MBM the original matte palette, I refused to buy it because it’s TOO warm for my pale fair skin. The same is true for Biba. So I jumped at this. I only have one all matte palette (Tartelette) and while I like it the MBM new palette has a color story that is different. The Tartelette palette has more dark shades that look very much the same on the eyes. The MBM has more lighter colors which suit my skin tone better. Cool tones or at most neutral shades flatter my skin tone better. Thanks for the video!! ❤
I'm at the part where you're discussing the Dyson and its color. I had to laugh because on my screen it's showing up as a very light beige, almost white lol. I just purchased a new curling iron from Hot Tools. I don't need anything fancy but the color I got seems to be the color you're describing. I'm actually disappointed with it. Even at its old age my ConAir did a better job, lol. That ConAir is the same color as your Dyson btw, lol...

My understanding is the US Federal Drug Administration hasn't updated our information re good and safe SPFs... so as a Dallas, Texas, USA resident - I trust other countries to have really good SPF products. You'll do great not buying the US only SPFs
You say the new master mattes is unnecessary but the old one was too for the same reasons??? I think people just love to hate on neutrals and cool tones for no reason. Those red orange warm tones don’t suit most people. I think it’s good that there’s more variety in neutral shades nowadays. I got so sick of everything being orange and red, at least now there’s cools and ACTUAL neutral palettes. Both palettes have all the basic neutral matte shades that you could need for basically any look. It’s cool!

I juse the VBB mascara in the black tube. And it is a tubing mascara. And I love it. It preforms as an waterproof mascara but without all the downsides of a waterproof one. Really easy to remove at night. And don't flake or smudge during the day.
I love tubing mascara so def trying the new tarte. I love how easy they wash off and for people with wrinkly deep set eyes you don’t get any dark smudges hiding in your wrinkles

Yess. The Dior lip maximiser is an example (IMO), the new formula just isn’t anywhere near as good as the old, it’s definitely less shiny.

only one I would try is Tom Ford Foundation. I have the Traceless soft matte and the shade and illuminate . Love both !

I’m just going to say it. Those new YSL lipsticks look very, very similar to Loreal Glow Paradise. And I already have all the good shades of that

Yes that's why we love tubing mascara! I can't wear any regular mascara it all melts into panda eyes because i have my own built in oil makeup remover, thanks oily eyelids! Even waterproof mascara gets melted by my oil slicks for eyes, and it's super hard to fully remove at night. Tubing mascara solves all my problems except it doesn't hold a curl as well since it's kind of heavy and it's hard to find a formula that gives lots of wispy length. The tubing aspect makes it a little heavier by nature, and poor formulations can tend to flake over the day.
I think people want to know your recommendations because you love mascara and review so many mascaras!

I am totally a tubing mascara girl, I live in a hot humid climate and almost every other mascara smudges during the summer/early fall months and tubing mascara doesn’t. My fave is the Trish McEvoy, though I have heard that the Thrive is excellent.
Thrive is phenomenal, give it a go! I’ve tried so so many (I’m a tubing mascara person) and by far Thrive is my favorite!

I use tubing mascaras 100% for ease of removal. Idc how much I washed my face, there'd always be leftover mascara that showed up the next morning. Just camping there like I hadn't even tried. Tried a tubing formula, haven't looked back. My current is Milani but I anticipate trying the Tarte at some point because i don't think Milani will be as easily available where I'm moving to. I'd never had smudging issues before or after, but I also don't wear the same amount of mascara that you do so idk if it'd prevent that. Never hurts to give it a try, and I'll be looking forward to your review of the Tarte if you do end up giving it a try.

So i tried the Tarte tubing mascara. OMG!!!! I am shook. I normally get smudging from even waterproof mascaras after a few hours (apart from Lancome Monsieur Big waterproof) but the Tarte one does NOT MOVE. No flaking, no smudging, nothing, not even after 10 hours of wear. it also gives some volume. Not sure how it will wear in the hotter weather, but for now, it absolutely is my new HG. I normally have terrible luck with mascaras not staying put, so I am very pleased

The W A lipsticks were a biggly disappointment. I must put balm first to make a lipstick work? As you said, I just want to “whack it on and go.” Back to my Lisa Eldridge and Guerlain lipsticks.

“ Thrive Causemetics” (yes, it’s spelled purposely that way) I believe is the gold standard, and OG of tubing mascara👍! It actually lives up to its claims of no flakin or TRANSFERRING , and I’m 58 , so oily lids w/any mascara is challenging at best 💁♀️. Tubing mascara is quite popular here in the U.S. , and Thrive is the benchmark if you want a great wear , removable, and results 🤩. Highly recommend 👌👏!!
Tubing mascaras are definitely back. I love the ease of removal and I'm looking for options. I love the one from Iconic London, but it's not always easy to get in Denmark and it's quite expensive. Right now trying the Maybelline sky-high, but it's not as good. Doesn't even seem totally tubing tbh
It is definitely hard to find a good tubing mascara in Europe, as half of them don't clearly disclose they are tubing mascara's as Charlotte said, and brands like Thrive aren't sold here. I wasn't too impressed with the Maybelline either... My favourite is still the Clinique high impact zero gravity mascara, maybe give that one a go? It sucks that tubing mascara's don't hold the curl, but it's still better than panda eyes! 🐼

Just wanted to say your videos are amazing! I was getting ready to do a huge hair product haul because one of my favorite brands was having a 40 percent off sale. The thing is this isn't the best time for me financially. It's an ok time but not the best time. After watching your videos and applying the same logic you were talking about I got my cart down to just two items. Which honestly made me feel a lot more comfortable.

I was interested in the Supergoop skin tint, but then Lisa Eldridge revealed a skin tint so will be getting that instead! I used to be big into UD foundations back in uni years ago, I must have used tons of bottles of All nighter and Stay Naked, but have not used UD for a good few years. I didn't think they would come out with a new foundation, i would have loved that in college but now I am more of a light-medium coverage person

I love the tubing mascara for the ease of removal. I put the tubing one on first and then whatever other mascara I’m into at the time. Removal is a breeze.

Favorite tubing mascara: Thrive Causemetics. Why I love tubing? Doesn’t smudge on me and comes off with a double cleanse. Also makes my lashes look amazing when they’re not.
Get ciele skin tint instead of supergoop it’s more perfecting and longer wearing apparently. And apparently the huda glosses are like the Fenty ones with pigment and texture

Tubing mascara. I finally tried, and it saved me from looking like I had 2 black eyes by the end of the day. Mascara transfers so bad on me. Honestly at this point Ive tried them alllllllll...from high dollar to low. And at the end of the day I LOVE the Milani...cheap and love.
Dyson Airwrap has been one of the best investments I have ever made! Definitely! My husband gifted me one of the first, and two years later I struggled to find the tube that works both directions, because it fits also the old model. Then I found it on eBay, and now I’m the happiest girl on earth!😄BTW, my husband bought it in Dec 2019. And it still works perfectly
Same here! I have the first edition true original: silver and hot pink, when early reviewers were a mess lol. I never liked the colors but didn't know they would come out with more. I broke down and got a second one (gifting the pink or resell) not just bc of the color but new attachments and 20% off. The purple tempted me but I folded like a cheap suit when they released the Prussian Blue/Rose Gold. Some of these colors actually are limited edition. This new rose gold is soft and subdued but the bright blue makes me happy. Dyson changed the game for my curly hair and I have never regretted it for a moment!
Hi Charlotte, I have really oily eyelids and I basically suffered with smudgey eye make up forever, until I swapped to a tubing mascara. Even using eyeshadow primer before, with a non-tubing mascara, still, panda eye mess. Tubing saved my make up LOL :D I use the Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions x
Tubing mascara’s are the only mascara’s that don’t smudge at all under my eyes. Some normal mascara’s are better than others but at one point in the evening they all smudge a bit.
My fave thing about tubing mascaras is that they never shed flakes into your eyes!
My FAVORITE tubing mascara is the Thrive Causmetics Liquid Lash Extensions mascara. Its wonderful! In a heavy teal tube and it clicks closed. It lasts so well on me! My bottom lashes always smudge or flake but this comes off super easily because I have sensitive eyes and I hate scrubbing at my eyes. I get volume and length with it and I put it on in two coats! ❤

Re Tubing Mascara: It’s all I ever wear nowadays for exactly the reasons you mentioned. My fave is Hourglass Unlocked and fave bargain one is Beauty Pie Wrapstar. Sadly my mum passed a month ago and I’ve been in floods every day ever since. Both the above mascaras haven’t failed me at all. In addition they provide lift, length and volume, although I have been using the Glow For It eyelash serum for over a year. Hope this helps! Lots of love ❤xx
I like the No. 7 stay perfect tubing mascara. I feel like it separates my lashes nicely and doesn't smudge.

Tubing mascara is great for very sensitive eyes. But very hard to find -especially if you prefer brown mascara...
I just bought 6 lip balms to stock up before they discontinued the old ones but I’m also interested in a couple new shades too. I’m just afraid they will discontinue the old formula completely. I live for their special concoction of mango-y, pear, peach, watermelon-y scent combo they have going on in their old formulas 😍😍🥭🍐🍑🍉🍒

I actually have a very lacking lipstick/ balm collection 9 total. Only 1 pink which isn't quite my shade and a few that are just unique. I won't be buying anything soon but the YSL is added to my wishlist. They look amazing and would love to buy a shade to help fill my collection.

I love the Victoria Beckham mascara - the original in the black tube. It is tubing mascara. I love that it doesn’t transfer to my under eye - it wears great. I also like the Clinique bottom lash tubing mascara. The little brush lets you apply without accidents! Your humor is right up my lane! (In the US, we say “alley”) my husband fully supports your “do I need it videos”!
I love the Mac Stack mascara. And their lips & blush products. I’ll wait for you to review these. I adore the Tartelette tubing mascara. Some people say it’s hard to remove but I don’t find it to be difficult. I love tubing mascara. The first brand I ever tried was from Thrive. They are the OG of tubing mascara. As someone who has oily eyelids, tubing mascaras solve a lot of problems for me: flaking, smudging, and transferring. I like waterproof mascara but it can dry my lashes out if I use them every day. As for MBM the original matte palette, I refused to buy it because it’s TOO warm for my pale fair skin. The same is true for Biba. So I jumped at this. I only have one all matte palette (Tartelette) and while I like it the MBM new palette has a color story that is different. The Tartelette palette has more dark shades that look very much the same on the eyes. The MBM has more lighter colors which suit my skin tone better. Cool tones or at most neutral shades flatter my skin tone better. Thanks for the video!! ❤
I'm at the part where you're discussing the Dyson and its color. I had to laugh because on my screen it's showing up as a very light beige, almost white lol. I just purchased a new curling iron from Hot Tools. I don't need anything fancy but the color I got seems to be the color you're describing. I'm actually disappointed with it. Even at its old age my ConAir did a better job, lol. That ConAir is the same color as your Dyson btw, lol...

My understanding is the US Federal Drug Administration hasn't updated our information re good and safe SPFs... so as a Dallas, Texas, USA resident - I trust other countries to have really good SPF products. You'll do great not buying the US only SPFs
You say the new master mattes is unnecessary but the old one was too for the same reasons??? I think people just love to hate on neutrals and cool tones for no reason. Those red orange warm tones don’t suit most people. I think it’s good that there’s more variety in neutral shades nowadays. I got so sick of everything being orange and red, at least now there’s cools and ACTUAL neutral palettes. Both palettes have all the basic neutral matte shades that you could need for basically any look. It’s cool!

I juse the VBB mascara in the black tube. And it is a tubing mascara. And I love it. It preforms as an waterproof mascara but without all the downsides of a waterproof one. Really easy to remove at night. And don't flake or smudge during the day.
I love tubing mascara so def trying the new tarte. I love how easy they wash off and for people with wrinkly deep set eyes you don’t get any dark smudges hiding in your wrinkles
