I absolutely agree with you regarding atomic cherry huge disappointment such poor colour payoff and not cherry at all,I sold mine in a few hours ! wonder wheel i agree is SO much better and full of bright colour and im so relieved i bought both at the same time as if id only tried atomic cherry it would really have put me off trying other lucent colours!

I suspect you might have a warm undertone especially if you like lip colours with a lot of brown in them (e.g. meet me in Berlin, which is very warm and great on you). I'm a warm Autumn and those lip colours with a lot of brown look good on me too. I know it sounds crazy but I also have a paler skin colour skin and for a long time I thought I had a cool undertone as well.
No I don't. My skin is definitely cool toned. The reason why I look good in the brown tones and can wear warm tones easily is my brown eyes and darker browns. I have quite a lot of contrast in my features for a pale skinned person.

I have only Sunday matinee, and it is interesting that it looks so different on me, more cool-toned and pink. I also have very bright cool-toned lips, but you are so right saying sunday matinee plays with your natural colours. thanks for this video

Every time you would show it in a bullet I knew what you were going to say but once you put it on your lips I actually quite liked how it suits you! Night thoughts was the one I was interested in buying the most and now I’m definitely convinced:) It seems to be just what I’m looking for (and I’m a lip liner girl). Rainbow spill was another one I was interested in but I actually like Skyscraper Rose more… I was interested to see what you were wearing on your eyes because it really looks pretty but I see you probably forgot to write those things? Nevermind, but you do have a great look going on here:) Have a great weekend! x
I think I’ve commented this before, but we must have very similar coloring though I am overall a little more muted and deeper. I love how you talk about how pigmented, cool toned lips can skew lipstick colors and look off. Meet me in Berlin is almost plummy when I put it on (I love it). I just ordered Velvet Bloom which I am really curious about. It’s cool toned, but pretty bright, not as bright as Skyscraper Rose though.
I have been so intrigued to try LE, but i also hear a lot of good things about merit signature lipsticks and their colors. Your description of painterly sounds possibly like L’ avenue from Merit. Would be really interesting to see them side by side.
@@FloatinginDreamsoh that’s a shame. I heard the formula is very close to LE luxuriously lucent formula. Kitten mischief is very close to their Millennial color but it’s cooler and Baby is close to velvet fawn but cooler.
@wiaam697 imo, Lisa's formula is just out of this world. Especially her mattes. I'll have to check out Merits tho from your suggestion which I appreciate. They do look a little too dark tho. Wish they had some lighter cooler pinks 😊

Thanks for your review. Very useful to see all the lippies here 😊 I have a few of them like Kitten Mischief which is definitely my fav especially paired with smokey eye make up. Now I am thinking of getting either Spirited Away or Painterly but for me some lipsticks look dull on me especially darker purpleish colours. So I tend to gravitate to more warm toned ones however cannot decide between these two… Spirited Away looks lovely and so does Painterly but I am afraid Painterly is a bit too dark and purpleish. By the way I also have Velvet Ribbon and I dont know if it is my fair but rosy skintone but Ribbon goes really dark on me and looks ashy. So it is not my favourite at all. Strange right?
Ribbon looks very vibrant on me. Painterly and Spirited Away are very similar though so I think you may not like both of them if you don't like that purple tone they have.

I love them all on you Maaike. Because Lisa is so good at undertones, you can get away with colours you might feel are not quite right for you.

Thanks! Glad I can be of help. I use Primark lipstick organizers to store these. They separate the lipsticks so the magnets won't catch.

Yes New Wave is straight up purple compared to Velvet Carnival.
@@FloatinginDreams is maybe New Wave similar to Catrice luxurious lipstick 080? I have Skyscraper rose and the Catrice lipstick and I love both 🙂
I think the Catrice pulls more pink on me than New Wave does. New Wave definitely has a stronger payoff.
