Technically not just RUclips, it's for streaming video in general. In order to reduce the amount of data to transmit, the site tries its best to only send what changes between frames instead of whole frames. But then the sparks cause too much change as well, so the only option left is to reduce the quality of the image.
EXM Well i hope that's obvious. In this case the video is uploaded on youtube and therefor it is mainly youtube's algorithm doing the compression if not third party programs or camera software is involved that compresses.
I'm pretty sure everyone has their dabble in using animals for "spiritual" and "traditional" medicines throughout the millennium, but we just seem to remember one particular group of people for their relationship in it. There's plenty of people against it than for it these days, it's like the snake oil guy who used to promote that it can cure everything.etc By the way, if they never invented paper. How the hell do we evolve from writing on leather to typing on a laptop?
These fireworks come from Hebei Province (near Beijing) so if you're Cantonese (I'm guessing) then you've probably never heard of these fireworks before.
Wait, so there aren't any lethal effects (seeing as the man has been at it for 30+ years) and hopefully no damage to the environment? -That's lit.- I had too.
Kilans Games how does temperature contribute to the cost? I don't see any correlation. Since forgery and metallurgy is developed early in china (as said in the video) it's quite easy to reach such a temperature. Materials isn't a cost either because the village donate their scrap iron.
The most costly part of this operation would be the coal used to heat up the kiln to achieve the melting point of iron, what they are tossing into the air isn't the refined molten iron from their production line, it's look like more as the slag with impurities that float atop of the kiln when the reduction phase ends, since it's rare to see such sparks in other more modern foundries I bet they use another kind of additives to achieve their reduction process.
dangerous and spectacular. I wonder if, similar to fireworks, additional colors could be introduced. Besides the obvious immediate risk of burn injury, I worry about the performers' prolonged exposure to smoke, airborne impurities, and iron compounds.
I think it would be possible, but you'd be making it more expensive again because you have to buy the more specific elements that give the colored flames. The philosophy behind this, is that it's affordable even to the poorest people. Although one thing is easy to add - normal kitchen salt will color any flame a vivid, saturated yellow. You can even try that on the stove by sprinkling some salt into the flame.
it is weird that he said that his village is the only one doing that. I am half chinese and a couple of months ago i was in china and we watched Da Shuhua in real life, it was definitely not in that village though🤔
Knowledge grows by sharing it, why keep it a secret? If you're selling the molten iron for profit then I understand keeping it a secret. But how would selling molten iron work?
All that sparks are messing with the pixels
Paul Mathew youtube compression* Tom scott got a good video explaining this

no problems if you watch it in 144p. im still using an apple macintosh se like a boss. with dial up modem :)
I knew Chinese were cool but I didn't know they were this cool.
We invented gunpowder for entertainment uses only, but someone took it and made weapons out of it.
Aghast Font it was bound to happen. it was a matter of WHEN and not WHO.
Like Infinity war is out today (Aus) and Darkseid is still no show in DC cinematic?

The reply section is a total disaster.
I'd rather watch this molten iron firework than the ones we see in every event.. it's simple yet beautiful💛
I love the Chinese culture. I’d be awesome to go there someday! 💛

My frame rate went to snit in about 5seconds.
Thank you for posting this! I’m Chinese but I’ve never heard of this before.

Yea, I do live in another city. Maybe it hasn't been picked up by the mainstream Chinese media.
Thanks for providing the details!
Like they said it's only in one little town. And China is freaking huge; urban coastal cities and developing rural areas are drastically different.
Skilled people do this dangerous stuff for others to see.. appreciate it
His body is protected but what about his face?
What about his *soul*?
JW78SNAKE good observation.

Amazing how far that tradition has come and stayed alive
My hometown
That is just wow.
Another one for the bucket list.
The one who disliked this was unable to know the secret arts of this tradition.
These are my favorite type of fireworks~~
Can’t say this often enough: I love this RUclips channel
Officially on my bucket list. Spectacular.

crawcrey also the name of 50% Chinese takeout stores
WOW! That was pretty explosive.
Looks amazing !
This made me smile. So cool
RUclips's compression ruins the footage
Well that's some amazing fire bending
No matter how much high ur resolution is...
Confetti always bring the resolution to 144p...
Why always some one their to dislike the good video
I was wondering where I had seen the fireworks in rm’s music video before- I guess it’s similar to these!
*Splendid!*
Wait, so there aren't any lethal effects (seeing as the man has been at it for 30+ years) and hopefully no damage to the environment? -That's lit.-
I had too.
It's supposedly just molten iron. And on such a small scale (1 town only), it shouldn't be harmful
@@TasX I mean the iron came from the ground, they’re just putting it back
火树银花
Wouldn't this be more expensive then fireworks now like 1600°C is alot of temperature.

johnny chang yup and I believe that's the secret they are keeping
I'm sure they clean the iron up and use it again
Watched it because of a movie entitled "The Human Comedy"
we dont teach outsiders about our technique
proceeds to teach the entire technique in full detail
Now that you know the technique, we would like to see you try it.
Amazing
Would love to try fitting compressed air to the bottom of the pot and blow the iron up high into the air.😍
Dude looks great for 55years old.
GOOOOOLDBERG! GOOOOOLDBERG!...
dangerous and spectacular.

Looks really cool but how do they maintain safety, it looks really dangerous
Rammstein should be interested in doing the Da Shuhua or a poor man’s firework on stage.

Well he survived for 55 years. Must be extremely careful
Fireworks for poor people, probably back then, but today iron is more expensive.
Это очень красиво, но очень страшно
The bit rate is dying
I hate H.264
I don't understand what's so secretive about it, throw molten Iron against cold stone and it explodes and sparkles. Afaik that's all there is to it
These are men of iron, molten iron that is.

Knowledge grows by sharing it, why keep it a secret? If you're selling the molten iron for profit then I understand keeping it a secret. But how would selling molten iron work?
Made in China.
automatically get your asian card
secret technique? grab a spoon put on protective clothes and just throw the iron against the wall hi as you can, what technique is there?
I hope the recycle all of the molten iron that's being thrown around and don't just leave it to poison the nature😒
First one to say first
Iron is limited, they shouldn't waste it for something like that...
Stop evil Laogai slavery
Sparks + YT compression = garbage quality
