Thanks for watching this video. I'll tell you 3 ways to clear selected area. Select area by "Rectangular Marquee Tool". Then press "Delete" bottom or "Backspace" bottom or go to the "Edit" tab in menu and press "Clear".

Thanks for watching this video. Erasing the wood texture from furniture: first select the area that you want to be deleted using Magic Wand Tool "W" by clicking inside of the area. then press Delete bottom. To select multiple area hold Shift key. Ask me if you have any question. Good Luck.
