Uber must confirm the trip only for real final customers, before to send a driver to pickup a passenger or package... Many times, there is waiting another person involved, that is not the real uber account owner ..
Specially for cash payment method, Uber must confirm first and identify the other third party involved and make sure he is agree and notified in advance about the service...
