I haven't been on this viaduct since some time in the 80s. It's amazing how much it's become overgrown.

They are in the process of revitalizing this line up to Andover New Jersey. They're also talking about extending it to Scranton PA, which would go over this amazing structure, and the Paulinskill Viaduct a few miles east of this one.

Manholes provide access to the arches for inspection and repair. The tracks under the west end f the viaduct are the old Lackawanna main. They were still in use until about a year or two ago. The road under the east end used to be the Susquehanna Railroad into E. Stroudsburg.

This is part of the Lackawanna Cut-Off. Opened in December 1911 by the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad (DL&W). It was closed by ConRail in 1983. This cut-off has another viaduct just like this one further east.

There are four magnificent DL&W viaducts. 2 are still in service. At least all 4 are still standing!

Very interesting! A shame to see these great engineering accomplishment left to rot.

Very nice. A couple things tho. Firstly i think your voice is too quiet, maybe try making it louder in the vid editor software. If not, add subs.
Second when youre on the viaduct, due to the width of the bridge & the height of the rails, it acts as an illusion & makes it look look like youre as tall as a 5 year old

Regarding the voice, ik.... I'll try to speak louder next time. I actually already have footage for two more videos, I'll see how those are. I was thinking of subs. I'll see. Regarding the perspective, interesting.
