No, it actually a kind of dipole mid-ranger driver and it sounds fantastic. The transient response of these speakers is phenomenal. I would love to experience them in a proper acoustically treated listening room. AudioNec will never win any design contests, but the sound stage is very impressive.
I agree with you and then you should know that the difference was much bigger in reality. AudioNec make great-sounding speakers and at the High End Show, they have been among my Top Three speaker systems two years in a row. If they would do anything about the room acoustics in their demo room, they would probably be my Top One. If you ever get the chance to experience AudioNec speakers, jump at the opportunity. 🎵😃

These sounded the best among the other speakers your good selves have recorded. Much better than the Raidho, TAD and Linn.
