Do you think we can follow each others for Episode 2?! Jenson USA has some sales and it supports my channel: bit.ly/3fBd0YF
So for some reasons a few of my links do not work... Can you please refresh by clicking on this one: bit.ly/2V1Iiyu and feel free to ask me about any product I use. I'm working on fixing the links.
I hope he's okay.
I agree with Yoann - too much distraction having to stop/film/discuss - takes you out of the zone of focus . So yes, I fully expect you guys to rip down it next run together.
Yes, please continue but stay healthy. What about showing your body protection? Please don't die for RUclips. Its so funny to join your conversations👍
Great follow up albeit unplanned to your managing fear and risk vid
You two are wild! Glad Yoann got out of there relatively unscathed.
Dumb and Dumber ride bikes...
@@remymetailler honnêtement vous avez une intelligence incroyable quant vous analysez c'ette style de chutes.
I admire your ability to analyze and break down these features! I'm still scared of the 3-5 foot drops let alone these gnarly ones!
I'm totally fine, crashing is part of the game, it always means something and it's always really positive :).
@@YoannBarelli_IntoTheGnar some would call it a learning opportunity 🙌
My heart skipped like 5 beats!
This video is gnarly! Can't wait to show it to you!
Your breakdown on the preparation, planning, risk identification, and strategies to manage the risk is a refreshing change from the 'just send it' crowd.
I really appreciate these insights as it makes the videos a learning tool for how to approach features at our limits. As well as entertainment of course!
I hope Yoann isn't too banged up!
also, I fully endorse baguettes as unit of measurement.
yep, makes the content unique
Yep, not the typical ride or die attitude, they actually want to continue enjoying riding their bikes instead of laying around in hospitals
I love it when these two get together. Love there humor, and there walkthroughs.its GREAT for us newer GNAR shredders.
Lol, this trail is so hard, I don't think anyone would dare to say just send it and also do it.
Doubt the 'just send it' crowd comes near this trail with a ten feet pole.
The classic duo of Remy and Yoann... bound to get themselves into trouble!
Squampage!
You should stick with Squampage as a name. Anyhoo, hope Yoann is OK.
Remy, Yoann and Steve's content is now the best most extreme professional MTB series films you can watch right now
Absolutely !!
I love these guys at the top of each feature nervously laughing at how sketch they are and then proceeding to send every single one of them without hesitation. Must big crazy to be that confident in your abilities
Thank you for showing the process of thinking the lines before riding and more importantly the nervousness of hitting it! It kind of gives comfort to me as a mere mortal and shaking on the lip of a 1 meter drop that also superstar riders get nervous on gnarly stuff. Looking forward to part 2 and happy to see that Yoann walked that off with just scratches!
That stuff is just so big and gnarly. I can only imagine what it looks like in real life!! Glad Yoann is all good.
Remy, these videos are some of my favorite out there, right now. People only ever want to show the successful attempts, and cut all the video to make it look like they strung all the features together in one take. It's super refreshing (and really satisfying to my analytical personality) to see you analyze, talk through, explain, and do (several to many) runups before attempting it. Thanks so much!!!
PS - You all are in a completely different universe than I am but I can take your commentary and apply it to the little stuff that I try. My biggest drop was only probably about 8 feet; a blind-ish drop over a small boulder wall, to a nicely shaped runout. That was several years ago but I applied the same techniques you're using here. I probably did 4 or 5 runups to gauge speed, and used a stick as a marker where to put my wheels. It worked so well for me that I could tell if I wasn't going fast enough, and needed to put a little bunny hop on it. The only thing I wish I had done differently was to not be riding alone. ....though, that trail is a pretty well-travelled trail (easy ride around to the left) and didn't figure it would take too long for someone to find me. lol. Still, not the greatest idea.
I like the way you both think about the big crash and how important it is to take care of each other after this. Thanks for sharing this moment of friendship with us.
The tension is real! I get a lot of value from the discussion before hitting the feature and seeing how you minimize the risks. It's never nice to crash, but it does happen. Glad that you called it a day and wishing Yoann a speedy recovery.
I once looked up "gnarly" in the Oxford Dictionary - and the only thing I could find was a pic of Remy. True story!
this line is so crazy in person, the cameras really don't show how absolutely terrifying these features are up close.
DAMNIT Remy - Please dont kill Yoann
Seriously, that was so scary! 😨
I think his name is Raymond
Of course, how could I forget!
Wow. You are both warriors out there on the trails. I am glad that
Yoann is ok after the crash. Reprennez vite la sante, Yoann!
11:35 the camera lens makes Rémy's bike look like the raddest teeny tiny balance bike
I'm glad yoan's okay. Be careful because you are a good source of inspiration and it's great to see you both riding together. 😊
So cool - two of the nicest guys in mountain biking riding together - this is epic!
When Rémy and Yohann do something together, it's never half-a$$ed. Always sick, always scary. Glad Yohann is okay!
These types of crash analysis videos are extremely valuable! It was great to hear you two talk through the processes of each feature and post-crash - also great to see Yoann's humility after the fact.
Love watching you two ride together!
Be safe my dudes!! We love your content because of who you are! Don't feel pressure to always have to do the hardest stuff. We love you both!!
you know you are crazy when you want to drop 12 baguette. Funniest duo. Keep up the great stuff and ride safe!
"What's your concern about it?"....."F*** your concerns"
*crash* 😂😂😂
Lmao😂
I absolutely love the working relationship / friendship you two share. Your on screen chemistry is spot on. It is very inspiring. Also, the way you two look after each other on the trail exemplify what we all should look for in riding partners.
As a freerider myself (not nearly on the level you guys are) i absolutely love this typ of videos. I get adrenaline watching it. Even though i haven`t seen these features in person, i somehow can relate. Excellent riding right on the edge. Gnarly crash from Yoann, but even that looked professional. Glad he got out relatively unscathed ! Remy + Yoann + Steve = dream team.
When the baguettes ride together things get crazy! Yoann went deep on the last drop.
Whoever said this is the most engaging stuff on YT just now got that right. I’m needing a moment after just watching. You guys are so good at letting us know how you’re thinking - really great entertainment, really great coaching, thanks 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
They both look composed on the drop but that landing seems unpredictable. YO technically lands it, but somewhere in the upstroke gets violently unclipped on one side and then washes out. I think Remi was right on the money when he mentions he likes to run his fork firm for these kinds of lines. 10/10!
I've been mountain biking sinse 1989/90 and I'm blown away by the progression in the sport. It's insane, where will it be in 20 years. Well done to Remy and his like.
Enjoy watching you guys ride together, the banter is hilarious and the riding is gnarly. Hope all is good with Yoann.
I really like how you and Yoann explain things. You two should make a video about body position on different situations, in my opinion the most important skill not just to be fast but more importantly to be safe
Glad you're ok Yoann, definitely a testament to your strength and mobility that you can take that kind of event, and walk away, definitely learn as much as possible, and get your energy back to chill zone, etc, thank you guys for the incredible movie... question, do you guys talk in French a lot during these, like between segments, I wonder if it's easier to strategize and fine tune the approach, French is a pretty cool language
Well said!
Proper committed riding gents, much respect for giving us 99% of riders awesome content to dream about doing ourselves but don’t have the guts to try! Keep up the amazing work❤️
Wild riders in an amazing terrain riding crazy lines... Squampage !! I wish Yoann is back for more videos 🤘🏼
So glad Yoann is okay. You two are great together, vibe really well. Keep up the epic work Rémy!!
Absolutely insane line and features !! major kudos for doing these !! hope Yoanne is ok, and hasn't bashed his head too hard !! keep these videos coming, love watching the super tech riding.
Another great one and so great looking out for your mate! It’s tough to make that call sometimes but that was definitely a big crash. Glad he’s okay!
Rémpage, that’s what it is.
Great vid, and it’s good to see Steve with you guys. Wish you speedy recovery, Yoann.
Haha very good one, I also vote for it. The "é" adds a good french touch... reminds me Peter Sellers accent in Pink Panther - the "Reum" ruclips.net/video/SnXtuktNdlM/видео.html , or the "Bumb" -- ruclips.net/video/7jLSLQBOwX4/видео.html
When YoB didn’t immediately laugh after his crash , I was a bit nervous!! 😬. Glad to see he’s ok. Amazing skills yet again.
Loving it, you boys are having too much fun, remember Yoann, Too much laughing leads to crying! Hope you are allright, keep them coming, cant wait for the next one.
These 11:00 a.m. premieres really gut me. I get so excited every time I’m drinking my coffee before work and I see you have uploaded. Then, I get crushed when I see it premieres hours later when I can’t watch it. 😭 I need these vids in the am to get me through my days. 🙏
You two are definitely brothers from other mothers - the ridiculous skill level you share, the differences in approach and riding style, and the camaraderie, if not genetic, is at least endlessly entertaining. Hope you both remain good friends and riding buddies into the sunset.
love the friendship love and the support shown at the end. It made the video just really great.
My heart is pumping faster by just watching your video. Best wish for Yoann checkup.
Glad you guys were able to talk about it all and post analyze the things that may have happened, but more importantly walk away from it okay mostly! Much respect gentleman & quick healing and recovery wishes to Yoann 🙌🏼🚲💨❣️
OMG 😲 that is truly MENTAL, my hat is off to you both👏👏👏👏
Another great video Remy, you and Yoann are a great team and the stuff you do for our entertainment is unreal. Get well soon Yoann 👌👍🏻👍🏻
Just glad you both are walking away unarmed. Always fun to watch you guys, Yoann just continually is cracking me up! Steve cameo to boot!
Hope Yoann recovers quickly. What a crash! But, it does happen when you push your limits.
OMG, I'm glad Yoan got away from that, pretty much ok. It's easy to think that the two of you are always going to land it all without
crashing, because of how good you guys are. I guess it's a good reminder that no one is exempt from falling. Take care of everyone and enjoy
All best wishes to yoann. Hope you really didn't get hurt. You're both the best! Big respect!
Yikes! Glad he's ok... I had a crash yesterday too, and my gut said I needed a day off, but I went anyway. A reminder of how importance focus and intuition is...
Loved the video. Loved the friendship interaction. Loved the amazing riding. I don’t watch Friday fails so I don’t like seeing my heroes crash. I just had a simple crash that has side-lined me. I hope Yoann’s injuries are mild and he has a quick recovery. Best wishes on the upcoming projects.
The name of the series should be Two baguettes searching for troubles >). Yoan i wish you a fast recovery and looking forward to seeing you two in more episodes. Big up for the baguettes!!
Luv these collaborations guys! This is some of the best content out there. #Squampage
Wow glad he’s okay amazing to see the thought process behind what you do! So calculated!
The 3 of you together is just awesome to watch.
That was nuts. This was a great perspective of how difficult these features are. Much respect.
Best riding duo🤘🏼 Ride safe, ride smart, ride on the edge🧨
This is the best thing I have seen all week. Super entertaining and it is helping me push my limits on the bike too
Keep “cranking” em out Remy, glad Yoann is OK, thanks for the tips and inspiration!
Two of the most entertaining guys to watch on the trails.
If you dont feel it don't go for it. most of the times one is learning more about feeling the things than doing crazy stuff. you guys rock! Very inspiring and brave people here. and please get them some sneaker bars...
Brilliant guys. Im missing being there sooo much, thanks for keeping us all frothing and amazed!
Stay stoked, safe and follow your passion fellas! We have some big zones in our area too and even though the camera doesn't do the features justice, I can also tell by the way you guys and your bikes react to the ground, that they are WAY FREAKING GNARLY!! But I've got saggy nuts now at 52 and can't take the big compressions. But love me some steeps! @Yoann Barelli a couple years ago I had a crash that I walked away from, but honestly knew (in the air as I was heading for a rock very fast head first without my bike) I was going to either die, or end up hospitalized, paralyzed etc.. But walked away with only a few scratches, bruises and a broken full face. But like you, I learned and am more stoked than ever to keep on living how I want to. GoForWhatYaKnow!
Gnarly stuff guys! Making me sweat just watching. Remy the control you have through that stuff is out of this world! Yohann is a champ, bounced right up, im sure he’ll be good but hope for speedy recovery, cant wait to see you clean this. Gotta listen to the gut feeling. Thanks for the video!! You’re killin it !
Crazy guys, I hope Yoan is feeling better. We can only imagine the level that you too ride and enjoy watching your videos.
Congratulations on 200k !
Thank you!
This one was amazing, filming it took him over his comfort zone. Both of you are incredible!
FAAAARK THAT!! Mad respect to you guys. Also, 2 of you together are fast becoming my fav thing to watch.
Once again GREAT skill. That line is crazy to see in person. Hopefully no bad injury. Be safe and keep up with the awesome vids.
You both guys are awsome, personally there si a point before any jump or drop where I am nervous and think if I am able and worried about it, and sometimes I preferer not to roll it, in my case, but You guys be able to do this amazing trails, You are incredible , failing is part of the game.
Yoann, you're a legend 🙌 I don't think I've seen a video of you scared, but this one you got spooked! Remy is a mad man!
Wooh glad he is okay. That could have been so much worse. Agree with Yoann. When you’re not feeling it better to come back again another day.
Nuckin' Futz!!! Glad Yoann is ok. Keep pushing the boundaries fellas. Great content.
Gotta love that the last 2 videos Yoann has been in has Remy and Steve telling him to slow the hell down because they both know how much of a speed demon he is haha. Hope Yoann is doing okay!
powerful message from Yoann after the crash. Keeps safe peeps!
This is the best!! So cool to see this kind of stuff from ou and Yoan. Also super cool when there's also Steve!
Damn one day a must come to canada to see that stuff! Amazing!!
Good to see Yoann is fine...more or less. Also, GREAT to see you guys are human!
I love watching you guys shred but Always be safe guys! I know it’s an extreme sport were in and we are trying to push the limits for the viewers. I am glad Yoanne is okay . Much blessings to you both. Again awesome footage and great talent but be safe guys! 🙏
Damn I'm glad he's okay... The crash looked nasty, he got slingshot on his back...!!
I love this Video. SOOO much fun. Two Pro Riders. Big Drops. I hope Yoann is ok!✌
Love this as well as the series you & Steve have put together: "Scaring Yo" ;p Hope he isn't hurt and can't wait for the sequel! I also like your original name, Squampage.
Rémy how did you ride this line in the snow?! MENTAL!! I saw the vid but actually didn't realize HOW GNAR this is until now....that's MAD! Glad to see Yoann is doing good so far! Hopefully there will be no bad news later on🙏
One day people will talk about this rides and jumps like we do talk now about the freeride videos from the 2000 and its beginnings. Hands downs to these legends!!
Great call to end the riding and good to see that Yoann was ok 👍
I will watch anything you guys film together. 🥖🥖 When you say "steeze" with your accent it sounds so much more exquisite.
So true, great lesson guys. Yoann, hope you’re good. Appreciate you guys putting out the extra goods for us but be safe. Also I want one in French with subtitles! Ha!
Vive la Baguette de l'équipe!
Remy - "How big is [the drop]?
Yoann - "I'd say twelve baguettes? Maybe a bit more?"
Remy - "That's a big baguette, angh."
Yoann - "Big baguette. Long baguette."
😂, I hope you guys parlez francais in some future videos! I'd love to hear it!
You guys are awesome. Glad he's alright 👍
Yikes! Glad he is ok. Hope no lasting injuries, sprains etc. His analysis seems right, looks like he landed maybe 3 feet further forwards. Don't forget to replace that helmet if it had a knock. Check the cleats are not worn too if he was using clips.
Glad everything is well, this is awesome, both of you guys are doing great jobs. Keep riding till the wheels fall off.
It's easy to forget how difficult and scary what you're doing is from the safety of my living room. You have HUGE balls guys, like really!
Well Yoann has three balls, so I bet it saved him. Respect.
@@PavelAJanku I totally forgot that...now it all makes sense 😂
What the Hell!! Remy? This is like finding a more Gnarlier and crazier trails and asking yourself...is this even possible?? I think you are the only one who is actually doing all this Crazy Shit!! and of course Yoann Barelli and your Buddy...3 of you Guys are Nuts!!! My full respect🤘
Glad Yoann seems to have gotten lucky 🍀 hope his head injury doesn’t become an issue!
These 3 guys are making the best content on RUclips. So entertaining. 😃
I know it happens to you guys all the time, just maybe not shown. However it made a lot of sense, when Yoann said he could tell at the top he was losing it. Glad I am not the only one that experiences that.
