I normally don't comment on your videos since you shunned certain content creators that helped you get to where you are but this video was good it taught me many things and I saw things that I own.
Michael hearing you was hard, when commercials came on they blasted my ears sine I have earplugs in. 😮too many great things at this shoppe to pick a favorite. Loved how you and Richard talk together and feed off of each other. Always learn something new👏🏻
You guys crack me up! Love your humor and I love you showing us some real quality items. As an antique book collector I feel your pain! Thanks for the laughs while doing my favorite thing...antiquing!!!!
Love you guys together but was a bit hard to hear when inside I had to have full volume on .Then when adverts on was full blast..lol loved all the things you got you are so lucky to have amazing places to hunt out treasures..xx
That book breaks my heart! I went to an oddities expo yesterday and was so sad to see all of the vintage and antique pieces that people were selling that they had destroyed. I wish people would learn more about these items first.
I love watching your videos because you never fail to make me smile and laugh. I so want the valentine with the couple “You know you like it.” Haha Such a lovely store. Richard was so polite regarding the cap with the lace. You two are just so sweet and fun. Never change!
Oh, I would have so much fun going through all the Scotty dog things!!! Maybe I could find something to add to my collection! I had such a great time exploring along with you. Thank you so much for taking me along!!! 😊
Ouch… the fact that she wouldnt sell it so that she could tear it apart… that stung a little😣 That booth was a little irritating with all the NFS (and the goodwill sticker.. yikes… secondhand embarrassment)! I recently found 3 antique (pre-1920s) music books at goodwill with hundreds of amazing sheet music.. i mean beautiful!! about 90% of the sheet music has ladies on the covers- all color covers. $2.99 each.. they are monogrammed with the owners initials on each cover, she signed inside the cover and was from Argentina. They were just thrown on the bottom of a shelf😢 Im so glad I was able to provide them a good home❤
I really enjoyed the two of you commenting together! I resell in a shop in Michigan. If we forget to remove price stickers, as in Goodwill, etc. We have to sell it for that price. Ouch!
At 45:00 that set is imprisoned/caged glass, handmade in the Brutalist style, 1960s, by Mexican artist Felipe Derflingher. I would scamper back (in time 7 months ago!) to grab them all, if i were you😅😅😅 highly sought after, special and unique. New to your channel and i love it. Thank you!❤
Been watching your videos and live sales for a few months. Was thrilled to see you at one of my favorite antique shops in Tipp City, OH. They refresh merchandise often and I always find something for my collections or for resale. It was wonderful to shop with you today! Thank you!
Great things we saw today. I love it all .I just adore old stuff. I love your passion about the book Michael. Such a shame to destroy it , but I guess to each there own. Great video guys can't wait till the next one. See ya.
Michael, what an interesting adventure, thanks for sharing ❤️🎉❤️. That negative, destructive comment that you received really bothers me, so I have to add my 2 cents. As children we were all raised with this saying, “If you can’t saying anything nice, don’t say anything”. Unless you walk in someone’s shoes, you don’t know their reality. For anyone to attack you makes me sick at heart. Making videos, building a on line business is a full time commitment, plus you open yourself up to the World. I personally loved your comment, “ Don’t subscribe “, which nailed it. Let us all take a minute to be kind to everyone, the people we see on the street, people that provide services for the public. Treat people as you would like to be treated. Kindness is free. Starting a new week tomorrow, let us all go out of our way and show kindness to a stranger and treat Everyone in person and On Line with Respect.
Love what you said about saving the items that are scratched or dented etc I think it’s high time we normalize the chips n cracks! (Or the rusty, crusty & dusty lol) ❤
Another great shop along video! The chintz piece at 13:03 was made by Royal Winston, the premier manufacturer of earthenware chintz china in England in the 1930’s an 40’s. Although there Is an interest in the Victorian pieces, the late 1990’s and early 2000’s saw a huge interest in the chintz produced by Winton and others like Crown Ducal and James Kent. The prices soared! And then after 10 or 15 years interest waned and prices dropped. Now, I think there is interest again and the piece you picked up was “Sunshine” I think which is one of Winton’s less common patterns. I wouldn’t call this china new or more modern as this is only in contrast to the Victorian pieces. Anyway, something to keep in mind if the price is right. The piece you picked up sells for more than $100. I hope this doesn’t come off as a lecture!
Fun shop. I was hoping for a longer shot of the dachshund pastel/painting at about 27.19. It reminded me of David Hockney's dachshund collection. Great stuff! Yes, sad to see old items destroyed, but at least it is living on in another form.
Its just such a shame that some people would tear apart pages from such an old book, basically devaluing it and there's no going back from that. And what's worse it's part of history at its best.... I judt loved going antique shopping with you guys, and im loving that the two of you were commentating together in this video. Like you would hear on a sports channel. Y I urge taling it to the next level for your channel and I think it's great! Have a blessed day, Karen from Oklahoma 😊
My favorite item was the Fenton plum creamer. Beautiful! I find it really sad that someone who sells at an antique place would destroy an antique book, when someone wanted to buy it.
Well I have seen many out there that do what you do but none compare to what you do...oh I forgot to say I was born outside Harrisburg, Pa...fond memories...always keeping it crusty...I'm pretty old...so love shopping with you...😉
Always something from the Peanut gallery. 🥜🙄 No clue as to what it refers to. I enjoy you sharing your smarts. I enjoy the come alongs. I enjoy Richard tagging along. Favorite find, the woodland book. Oh the book being destroyed. So sad. Times change. To save them all 😘
I was just learning to read, and I hated it. The books at school were so boring. My father had a stash of his old books in the attic, so I started reading his, and I was hooked. I've been collecting ever since. It kills me when I see old books being destroyed for their art or whatever reason. But what really is annoying is that this was an "antique" dealer! Gezz... 😁 Love your videos
Really enjoyed the “discussion “ commentary in this video. The Michael-consciousness-streaming voice-overs have always been my favorite, but this is really a nice switch. I’m really enjoying R’s input, and the fact that you seem to be having a better time. (Fail to see, though, why one of you couldn’t distract “crafty gal” while the other sprinted for the door with that leather bound music book.)
Thanks for giving me a peek of this shop. It’s on my list. I looked for you at the Urbana show at the fairgrounds but I heard you were under the weather. Hope you are feeling better. ❤️❤️ The colorway of the Fenton pitcher is awesome. Even though the mirror was contemporary, I couldn’t have passed it up at that price. I’m looking for Lefton bunnies and chicks for Easter and spring. No comment on the egg 🤣🤣🤣 oh darn. You beat me to the bugs 🐛. They would have been a definite yes for me too. When Richard was looking at the light fixture I noticed the e stacking bins that were really cute.I really like what I saw at this store. You got some killer things. Hope there are some treasures when I go. It may have just been me, but your volume seemed a little low.
I saw those bins too, and really liked them. I also had trouble with volume. Even with my volume cranked up to 99 I still missed a lot of what was being said.
Michael, I just had a idea. You may want to seal or feed your wooden doll house furniture. My dad would help me with mine. I think it would make the wood beautiful and preserves it.
I loved Richard's and your banter in the video. So much fun, never a dull moment. So many great things to buy ♥ I LOVED the FENTON Plum Hobnail syrup pitcher. I think it was a great collectors price at $65.00. Prices can reach up to $160 on these, they're all over the place price wise on ebay. I am also quite offended by that one seller, who tore the ANTIQUE book apart just for freakin' decoration. No respect, that person should not be selling antiques. I was quite upset about it.
It hurts my heart to see books torn apart 😢. Of course it’s her’s she can do as she pleases 🤷🏼♀️. Such gorgeous glass today, I can’t pick a favorite. Thank you both for the shop tour it was lovely. I could hear you fine but I had my ear buds in.
Great video, enjoyed the two of you conversing and sharing opinions. Sad that that music book was being split up although I can see why the booth owner was wanting to use it, the script was so lovely. Something lost to more modern music sheets. The aesthetics of it gives the look of age and sophistication. It’s nice to see people appreciate these pieces in their original state. Yet at the same time I can understand the desire to use them as individual pieces. But I do feel like we are somewhat losing our history to craft projects
Thanks you two! Fun shop, but taking the beautiful book and "savaging" it for crafts is a sin.....I too love old books , ephemera etc and that was truly sad.
I used to run an antique mall and I was so tired of dealers leaving the Goodwill and garage sale stickers on stuff, that we told everyone we would sell the item for the Goodwill or garage sale sticker price if they did not remove them ! LOL
Love the roserybox with dollbuste and tiny prayerbook Love tha basin too Love the round lidded box, loved the tiny one too Loved that old "normal" babydoll and loved the baby artpiece, would look amasing in my babyroom I need a skunk in belgium!!!! Beautyfull wallscouce Love the clown I spotte da gorgeous, colorfull fruitdecotated big plate. Would love to own one Saw 2 gorgeous white catfigurenes and a nice red clock in that same booth Love that unusual shaped litle vast Love coockie monster any day Loving that litle testtube case! Would love a litle desk like that! Those cast iron doggies were so cute! I m so sad about the book, I love leatherbindings too Love that they framed those paperdolls, insperation!!!! Love this shop! I’m watching this on my old iPhone X. To me, the sound is crisp and clear. However, I do live in a quiet space alone. Which for me, is wonderful. 😌 Your format reminds me of watching a vintage movie on DVD with the “commentary” switched on, where the movie maker and actors are discussing and commenting on the film. You two are WONDERFUL together. Michael, I truly believe that your business has yet again been elevated. Especially, with the addition of Richard into your business and obviously, your life as a whole.❤
Im an art teacher and I sometimes upcycle books ( mainly ones already falling apart) but I’d never do it to one so old and ornate. Like you said she could have photocopied it and done some tea stains.
Enjoyed Richard being with you for the voiceover. Listening to your discussion with each other was nice. Of course the glimpse of his dimples at the end was nice also…😉
Maybe the cake plate with the medallion was for a Bundt cake or another cake pan as such. When I was growing up had a cake pan that made a hole in the center. 🤷🏻
The baby doll head crafts are just creepy on so many levels 😂. I’m 65 and I loved baby dolls as a child. So did my 2 girls so I guess it just feels wrong 🤷🏼♀️
I was so very sad about that antique book…almost mad really. I don’t understand how a person with a booth at an antique store could do that. It’s not like she’s ignorant of what she’s doing. Strange comment🤔
@Rikke Meek Sadly...I am, at this point, not surprised.
Crazy about the misinformation out there!😑
@@pammywhammy3521 No matter where we go, there it is...🥴🫠
Michael hearing you was hard, when commercials came on they blasted my ears sine I have earplugs in.
It’s nice when a couple enjoy the same things ❤ Love the video!!
This was really fun with you and Richard both doing the voice over together. 😀
I liked the two small books of flowers at the beginning!
Those black pumps with the mirrored heels. I’d wear those to the grocery store!! Really liked those.
Love the old baby dolls ❤🥰 I love the way the Victorian pieces were displayed so beautifully 😍
Love you guys together but was a bit hard to hear when inside I had to have full volume on .Then when adverts on was full blast..lol loved all the things you got you are so lucky to have amazing places to hunt out treasures..xx
Love your videos! The audio has been hard to hear on some of the latest ones. Even with my volume at its highest.
Try putting on the closed caption feature, it's the cc on the upper right corner. I imagine their voices are low out of respect to other customers.
That book breaks my heart! I went to an oddities expo yesterday and was so sad to see all of the vintage and antique pieces that people were selling that they had destroyed. I wish people would learn more about these items first.
As a crafter myself I'm appalled that she took that book apart. As you said she could have copied the pages and got the same look.
“Fred was too normal so he had to stay in the dish.” 😂😂
I love watching your videos because you never fail to make me smile and laugh. I so want the valentine with the couple “You know you like it.” Haha Such a lovely store. Richard was so polite regarding the cap with the lace. You two are just so sweet and fun. Never change!

That is Stunning the Mary box with little book! 😍 I LOVE DOLLS and so HAPPY you do too!!!
That black glass with the woman figure wad gorgeous. Such interesting items
The first booth you came to could have been curated by Ariana! Totally her vibe! Fun having you both in the voice over, thanks for taking us along!

Michael…so glad to see the video today !! My favorite piece was the rosary box with the devotional book …..
I loved the book too. I also liked the table covers they are beautiful.
For a bundt cake..medallion in center makes it fancy...love your channel! xoxo
I really enjoyed the two of you commenting together!
I resell in a shop in Michigan. If we forget to remove price stickers, as in Goodwill, etc. We have to sell it for that price. Ouch!

Great things we saw today. I love it all .I just adore old stuff. I love your passion about the book Michael. Such a shame to destroy it , but I guess to each there own. Great video guys can't wait till the next one. See ya.
That "hideous" followed by Michael's laugh just cracked me up
😝😝

I love it. Thank you for telling us about the things.
Great video with the both of you. The banter is great. Plus I learned so much again.
Love your alone shopping videos, but am really enjoying Richard too. He doesn’t try to take over your videos.
Love what you said about saving the items that are scratched or dented etc I think it’s high time we normalize the chips n cracks! (Or the rusty, crusty & dusty lol) ❤
How are you Richard! ☺️ Michael your videos are just so relaxing and enjoyable with your Great Expertise ❤️
Felt like I was right there. Great video! ❤️
Oh I think I owned a gold coin purse like the one next to the jewelery caskets. I just love seeing memories.
Me too! Mine came from Woolworth.
Another great shopping adventure ……thank you 🇨🇦
Enjoyed the duel opinions of the voice over .
You two just crack me up! Love it!! That area that had the jewelry caskets was so quaint!
Great shopping! Loved watching you both shop!
Fun to hear you both commenting on you shop along!

Gorgeous empoliglass.
I love green glass X
Gorgeous LE Smith
When you first walked in there was a neat-looking blue splatter enamel colander near the floor that looked unusual.

I love listening to you laughing at Richard! I know you like it!! What did the back say?????
I actually have that silver napkin holder from the beginning of the video. I think the best find was the Fenton plum vase.

I love that you're always looking for unique items. Thank you for that. Are you going to do a junk jar pretty soon?
great video with lots of info as always !!!
Hee hee, getting to shop with you guys...🐰
I loved it all . We just don't see those older things in Georgia . Gail D.

Sad about the book! Some people?
I lived the green / orange Scottie dog trinket dish in the “ dog” area, very Ralph Lauren!
It would be wonderful for the history at a college of music.
I’m sad thinking of how important that old worn book was to someone.
My favorite is the cat postcard!
Hi Michael & Richard, on the Valentine Message “fan”…the flowers are fuchsia not bleeding hearts. Really enjoyed this video!
Here I thought that was just a color! 🤣

Fun shop, but taking the beautiful book and "savaging" it for crafts is a sin.....I too love old books , ephemera etc
and that was truly sad.
I think the cake stand was used to serve pound cakes with the hole in the middle. Just a thought.
I used to run an antique mall and I was so tired of dealers leaving the Goodwill and garage sale stickers on stuff, that we told everyone we would sell the item for the Goodwill or garage sale sticker price if they did not remove them ! LOL
You found some great stuff!!. It was a shame about the music book,
Michael, omg, that is so sad that the vender was using those beautiful pages for arts & crafts. Why????😢 I’m with you…let’s preserve the past!!! 📖
I love all of his videos
Love the roserybox with dollbuste and tiny prayerbook
Love tha basin too
Love the round lidded box, loved the tiny one too
Loved that old "normal" babydoll and loved the baby artpiece, would look amasing in my babyroom
I need a skunk in belgium!!!!
Beautyfull wallscouce
Love the clown
I spotte da gorgeous, colorfull fruitdecotated big plate.
Would love to own one
Saw 2 gorgeous white catfigurenes and a nice red clock in that same booth
Love that unusual shaped litle vast
Love coockie monster any day
Loving that litle testtube case!
Would love a litle desk like that!
Those cast iron doggies were so cute!
I m so sad about the book, I love leatherbindings too
Love that they framed those paperdolls, insperation!!!!
Love this shop!
Hugs X
That was a type of men's Breton fishermen's cap.
I'm always so careful handling glass/crystal and lo'' and behold my hubby dropped my $200 Steuben crystal pineapple and the top hook cracked off.
Nice ❤️
I’m watching this on my old iPhone X. To me, the sound is crisp and clear. However, I do live in a quiet space alone. Which for me, is wonderful. 😌
Your format reminds me of watching a vintage movie on DVD with the “commentary” switched on, where the movie maker and actors are discussing and commenting on the film. You two are WONDERFUL together. Michael, I truly believe that your business has yet again been elevated. Especially, with the addition of Richard into your business and obviously, your life as a whole.❤
The cake plate maybe was a bundt plate so the center would have been empty and the medallion wouldn’t have mattered.
The bugs are cute.
Heartbroken about the music book💔 But I enjoyed the video immensely!!!👍❤😍
The baby doll head crafts are just creepy on so many levels 😂. I’m 65 and I loved baby dolls as a child. So did my 2 girls so I guess it just feels wrong 🤷🏼♀️
And, I’m just sick feeling over that book being torn apart 😔
😭😭😭
I agree with everyone else. I never used to have trouble hearing you, but you need to turn up the volume, please.
Sound? Your voice is soft but even with volume way up hard to hear.
I was so very sad about that antique book…almost mad really. I don’t understand how a person with a booth at an antique store could do that. It’s not like she’s ignorant of what she’s doing. Oh well, we can’t change anyone else’s behavior, can we? I did enjoy shopping with you and Richard, regardless, and the voice over with you both was wonderful 🥰
Ignore the rude comments love ur videos and u guys can hear u fine wish u would have saved the chocolate cup but love the Vaseline pieces
Lovely item's as usual. I loved hearing all about everything. Sad about the music book. Just a shame.
That book story makes me so sad. On another note, I enjoyed the voice over from both of you although I had a little trouble hearing the audio.
Why does a vendor have objects in the booth that they don't want to sell ? Why not have it at home?
