Definitely a good guide, this is what I typically do. One thing that has helped me a bunch on setup is adding little labels on each of my lights that show the DMX address. Since the screens go to sleep after about 10 seconds, I find this much easier than having to wake each one up to see the address.

100%, which is why I try to not mess with hardware and deviate from what’s on that little label
