Caeleb Dressel is my favorite swimmer so watching this episode was amazing especially because it wasn’t just all about swim, it was about his life and just talking to him outside of swimming is such a nice change.
Such a great interview🥹I learned a lot from the humanity of athletes and what we go through. It’s not like you’re the greatest and have that confidence all the time. You’re also battling internal insecurities that people wouldn’t even think you have because you’re used to being the greatest at your craft. 👏🏽👏🏽thanks for sharing this podcast and your episodes. Watching and listening to your interviews also motivates me in my sports journey and overall having self compassion and grace when I look myself in the mirror, and when I’m training. ¡Muchísimas Gracias!

As a coach, father, and friend this is the single most important episode to watch. We have a duty as coaches and parents to place our athlete's mental health and approach to competition in proper perspective. There are several underlying nuanced points to discuss for athletes, coaches, and Parents. Thank you for this superior podcast! Thank you Caeleb...
As a lifetime individual sport athlete. Swimming, then MMA, and now BJJ. I love seeing the mindset behind great athletes who operate “without a team”. It takes a lot of mental strength. Massive respect. And don’t get me wrong, we all train with a team and love our teammates, coaches, staff, etc… but when it’s time to perform, it’s all on you. Even in a 4-person relay. You just gotta focus on you.
Absolutely loved this conversation. I read Relentless Spirit way back and so it's extra awesome to not only see Caeleb take a load off and have a good time, but hearing Missy's laugh and the joy shared among them all made me smile and laugh :)
I love this because over time he's slowly opened up, at his pace and I love that. He's doing better and has a great, eye opening impact on all ages of swimmers regardless of different experience or any athlete in general regarding mental health, boundaries, and how to balance what you love with what you love.
Caeleb Dressel is my favorite swimmer too I think he is so cute, and his tattoo sleeves are so beautiful, I also love his honesty, and I also love his sense of humor
Fun to hear you describe the transition from being a kid swimming to being an adult. You sound much more like us masters folks, except this is your job. We keep it real and have fun while also working hard (as much as you can over 40). Most of the time swimmers take a long break between college and masters, professional swimmers don’t get that same perspective and you have to do it in parallel with doing your job. Get yourself some aftershocks to listen to some jams and enjoy the journey!
Love Caelab Dressel, he is so funny lovable such a sweetheart humam such a great that he is back in the sport of swimming as he loves to hangout with his friends even he just see them ones or twos a year at swim meet's that's great about Team USA and the group he with Gators as Love that he talks about his wife Meagan
Hard to believe these three are Olympic Gold Medalist with these two girls laughing entire time, and nothing is funny. The interviewer should never spend the whole interview laughing uncontrollably, and we can't even understand what they are saying. Very unprofessional and really irritating. Makes it unwatchable. They really didn't talk swimming at all. Should I even route for Caeleb if he swims in Paris?

Loved this. Really appreciated the honesty about the internal pressures swimmers feel.
