    The hug between you and Natasha was worth the whole episode!! After Jonathan's bike is serviced you should have him meet you where you are staying! Stay warm and safe!!

    If in doubt, kettle out.
    When unsure a coffee to stir the creative juices.
    In this position I usually dig out my paper map so I can see the big picture, and look for an interesting town, beach, lake, mountain , tourist feature etc etc. This you can't really do with a GPS. Just a thought.
    Good effort Jonathan off road.
    Safe happy travels 👍

      A coffee break always helps, and yes, paper maps are so underrated nowadays. I still use my old Atlas, I call it my analog GPS... 😉.

    If Jonathan hasn't already do make sure to set the suspension up for offroad according to the manual, the 900 is designed to be nimble on-road but then it needs ajusting to extend the rake slightly while offroad. It's just a quick pre-load adjustment but its night-and-day difference to the handling

    It looked like Jonathan could follow along without any difficulties, just taking it nice and easy. That's very good for a first time off road - and to top it all off, with a fully loaded bike! Good job. Also nice to see the warm welcoming from your friends. Already looking forward to the next one!

      I agree they are both great bikes. But I do prefer the T7. I only wish it had cruise control for the long stretches, and possibility for abs only on the front. Other than that it’s perfect.

      Unfortunately, I chose a purely mx helmet and it is difficult to place an intercom there without it being unpleasant for the ears. On the other hand, we are trying to find a solution to mount a go pro on my helmet. It might be interesting to have both points of view 🤗✌️

    Why are y’all carrying so much stuff with you. There’s no way you need that much stuff! Maybe you’ll start reducing that amount as you get more travel experience!

    • @RidetheBean
      @RidetheBean  2 года назад +2

      Well need and want is not the same. I don’t NEED almost anything. But I WANT to enjoy the trip the way I want to. And riding is just 1/5 of the trip. I spend more time in camp or doing other stuff than riding. The bike is just the tool to get to see and do all the other things.
      I also want hiking gear to go hiking in the mountains, both hammock and tent. I sleep best in hammock but tent when it rains. I have a bunch of cameras and camera equipment, and I have a few kg of coffee and 3 different brewing vessels.
      So no I don’t NEED all of it. But without it I wouldn’t get to do what brings me joy apart from riding.
