Help us plan our next adventure! 🏍🏕 Our time in the UK was too short, and there’s so much more to explore. If you’ve ridden through Wales, England, or Scotland, what are the must-see places and routes we should check out on our next trip? Ice cream shops, campsites, mountain passes, fun things to do - anything of interest. Drop your recommendations below!
You can get a ferry from Amsterdam to Newcastle then it's a short ride up to Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Some great, quiet biking roads up there. Continue over to Dumfrieshire in South West Scotland, the town of Moffat is ideal as a base for a couple of days exploring that area. Depending on how long you've got you can then go north, pass Glasgow and travel around the Loch Lomond area. After then just go wherever you fancy, Scotland is superb.
..back in the '80s, myself and three friends drove a '66 Chev stationwagon from Vanvouver to St John (New Brunswick) over the Great Lakes. Took 14 months, we had a wild time!..
Thank You both. Great presentation, and nice filming. I used to visit North Wales annually, it was special seeing a few glimpses of places past visited. Iv'e returned to riding again after a long period of driving. Your channel must certainly do wonders for adventure bike sales, Your happy go lucky take is wonderful to see, and is infectious in fact. I'm seriously considering changing my road machine for something similar to you ladies. So much more to see off the main road network. Should You ever be upon the road between Dolgellau and Barmouth in North Wales, perhaps try to check out a biker friendly camp site just outside a village called Bontddu. It sits upon the Mordach estuary, the owner provides logs to burn and the atmosphere can be amazing, often tiny children to 70 plus people frequent. Rustic and charming and close enough to Snowden and Angelsea. Great channel thanks again.
Excellent video..looks like you are having a great time! Look forward to seeing more . I know I've said it before, but got to get you over to the Emerald Isle sometime..you would love the Wild Atlantic Way! Cheers Steve
Thank you very much, Steve! We had the best time, even chaos and traffic jams just becomes laughs 😂 Both of us are definitely going back to UK/Ireland again to check out some more! Have a good evening over there 😊
Hi Runa, that drone vision zooming up the creekbed and then showcasing the beautiful valley in Snowdonia was just one of the moments to enjoy. That traffic jam was just bonkers and funny, you both did well to get through it. Loved the ice cream fudge shop, beautiful treats. Great to see you caught some good weather Runa & Leonoor. Cheers from Australia 🤩🤩🤩🦘🦘🦘
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it 😊 The mountain pass was sooo nice, defiinitely have to explore more of that region sometime! And ice cream is just mandatory isnt it 😇 Happy weekend down under, hope you're having a nice summer down there ☀️
We sure had a lot of fun and saw some really nice views on this trip! 😊 Pyrenees is definitely high up on my to-do list, looks stunning 😍 Thanks for watching and have a good evening!
What a fun video thanks Runa ✌ I normally prefer solo riders, but since you and Kinga (in NZ) and now you and Leonoor, my horizons have been expanded 👌😊
I have to agree! Going solo will always be my preferred way I think, but with the right people traveling together can be a really good experience too! 😊
Thanks for that lovely episode, so much fun. I too have a sweet tooth, so that ice cream shop on a nice bright sunny day looked soooo good. That was amazing scenery and I'm looking forward to more of your trip. As always the shots and the music were perfect. Happy travels. Assuming you're in Spain now. I'll be there in 52 days 😊. Cheers. Great video. I was planning to do The Rainbow and Molesworth on my little farm bike, but stuck with a month driving/riding ban. 😢 The smiles when ice-cream and fudge were found.
Runa, you and Leonoor have become time travellers, you make a video of 16+mins we enjoy and laugh a lot but it finishes after 5mins. It did tho' seem to go into slow motion at one point, just as you entered into the 🍦😋icceecrreeaamm🍨😋 cafe, funny that 🤷♂️. The funiest was tho' Runa as you rolled out your sleeping bag an said the tent "smells like home". I'm sure many a Vet will have, in this moment relived the smell of military tents and thought NO. (One smell no Vet has been able to erase from their memory). Can't wait for the next 5mins 😉Ride Safe ladies🤗
Hahahah yes I am sure there are many out there who does not have only positive experiences with sleeping in tent, luckily mine is very well ventilated and stinky boots never make it inside 😂 Thanks for the laugh, and I'm glad you enjoyed the episode! Happy weekend 😊
It's hard to find better places, but it's so cool to see NEW places, and landscape, people places that is different from what we are used to 😊 Thanks for watching, and happy weekend to you!
Definitely the look and feel of "Middle Earth" about this place. Your choice of music of course conjurs up the mystical atmosphere required. Great vid! And.... phark that single lane road... shit way to go.
It has been so fun to follow your updates on Instagram over the Christmas and New Years weekend. 🥰🥰 I understand its really empty now after Leonor has gone home. So much traffic on that narrow road, all of them wanted to meet you two. 😅
I'm glad you've liked it 🥰 I will try to be better at doing random updates on IG. Up until now I've kinda felt like it HAD to be motorcycle- or travel related to be of interest for my audience, but I guess not! Thank you for watching and commenting like always, have a great afternoon Jonas! 😊
@ You and Leonor are perfect mix of sweet and salty😅 To see and hear you laugh always makes me feel better. For me it doesn’t matter if it’s on a bike in a car or in a cabin. Of course I can only speak for myself, 😊
Great 1st two episodes - looking forward to the next. You missed Portmerion in North Wales - very arty, maybe next time. Where to in Ep3?. Take care out there - SteveD (Isle of Wight, UK)
Oooh I just googled Portmerion and it looks stunning! Definitely adding that on my list for the next visit😃 Thank you Steve, and hope you have a good weekend so far!

Good fun 😊 I'm British and used to driving on country lanes and that was the worst congestion I've seen. Perhaps it was tourists, or traffic diverting from an accident/road closure.
I have no idea, but seemed so random that so many ended up on that same little road at the same time😂 Gave us some good laughs though! Thank you for watching and happy weekend to you!😊
Hi Runa, Another fun video with your friend Leonoor in the UK, Am I right in thinking you like ice-cream, Nice of tim letting you leave the van at his house, I like his dogs 🐕, Good to see him using gt85 lubricant that is my go to lubricant its great stuff, Didn't like that stupidly narrow road that should be a one way road, Good job you were not still in the van. Look forward to your next video, I will have to check out Leonoor's you tube channel, As always Best wishes to you Runa, From Roy in England 👏 😊👍.
Hi Roy, greetings across the ocean 😃 You might be onto something regarding us liking ice cream.... and sweets in general 😂 And I am sure you will really like Leonoors RUclips too, she is a magician with her camera! Have a great evening over there!
Yay! Fun vid! - Britain; I like Scotland esp North west. Otherwise SW England offers a lot on this route -Mendip Hills, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Quantock Hills, Porlock, Countisbury, Exmoor, Dartmoor, Bodmin. Either very late or v early season to avoid traffic ;-)
Thank you, Jeremy!😄 Pinning all these locations on my map! Is may too early, or alright as long as prepared for cooler temps? Happy weekend to you and Kirsten 😊
@@OffSheGoesADV Yes, april is good too (and possibly march) - I lived there and rode the bike year round, although ice and snow can happen in the coldest months. Campsight availabilty may be more limited 🤔 Kirsten sends a wave 🤗
The traffic jam from hell, welcome to the UK😂Its a shame you weren't riding the bikes on some of those amazing roads when you were in the van😉Another awesome video Runa👍

@@OffSheGoesADV No rides since December 27th, our roads are too dangerous but next week is looking better so fingers crossed! I have been enjoying walking though but can't wait to get the bike out again... I'm sure its much colder in Norway though😉
My personal recommendation would take a trip out of Edinburgh on the A9 to Stirling then journey north via,Dourne Castle on to Fort William and Ben Nevis, up to Commando Point, over Rannoch Moor , stop at Glencoe, on to Loch Ness, Fort Augustus, Inverness journey south through the Cairngorms National Park, stop off for ice cream at Pitlochry before coming back to Edinburgh via the famous Forth Road Bridge...around 350-360 miles of the most beautiful Scottish countryside you can imagine
@OffSheGoesADV you'll love it. The roads can be busy, and as they are mainly A roads narrow and twisty in places, but once you get past Fort William, it gets better, and the scenery is fab...Rannock Moor is well known in Scottish history for the famous Battle of Culloden , between the Jacobites and British Government which took place in 1745 and Glencoe is famous for The Three Sisters... a range of three peaks standing together. The legend goes that two tribes were at war because the daughter of one leader was courting the son of the other. This couldn't happen, so a war started. An alchemist came up with a plan to turn the three daughters to stone to protect them, promising to turn them back when the war was over. Sadly, the alchemist was killed, and no one else knew how to reverse the spell, dooming the girls forever, and over time, they grew to the size we see them today, standing side by side looking over the beautiful valley of Glencoe below. Loch Ness, of course, needs no introduction.
NC500 Scotland but do it anti clockwise. Visit durness (cocoa mountain) also Applecross then immediately from there is the (bealach-na-ba) mountain pass😱. My wife and I did it on our motorcycles last year.
Hi, Alan! I actually got it as a present from Will who I met when I was in New Zealand 😃 But you can find them online. If you search for biker rubber duck on Amazon for example you should find a few examples. Hope that helps 😊
Beautiful ladies, have you considered visiting Ireland? I'd absolutely love it if you could share your travels with us through vlogs featuring various Irish cities.
Hey there! 😊 Ive done about 15 000km on this bike and it has been running smoothly the whole time. The immobilizer warning comes on every now and then but seems like its just because of a dirty sidestand sensor! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 😃

The infrastructure in the UK is horrible with so many narrow roads and highways because so much of the tax money went to and still does go to the monarchy. they are living filthy rich off of the people to live an extravagant lifestyle. They are taxed to death in European countries. I was waiting for you to pet the sheep. still waiting for the cow episode. You really need to do that and get over your fear of such cute friendly animals. thanks. 🙂

Runa, where did you get the duck mascot, I've looked everywhere for one and can't find one ...help !!
Hi, Alan! I actually got it as a present from Will who I met when I was in New Zealand 😃 But you can find them online. If you search for biker rubber duck on Amazon for example you should find a few examples. Hope that helps 😊
@OffSheGoesADV Thanks Runa, 👍 I'll give it a look and see if I can find one. 😊
Surely Norway is far more stunning than UK, I know I'd love to visit
It all has it own beauty I guess! Coming from Norway, it is still so nice to experience something else, see something new 😊

Beautiful ladies, have you considered visiting Ireland? I'd absolutely love it if you could share your travels with us through vlogs featuring various Irish cities.
I can't speak for Leonoor, but I myself will definitely visit Ireland at some point! It looks stunning, and lots of history 😊
Hello! Have you ever met Robin Hood? Or the Sheriff of Notinnghiil?🙃🙃
Nope 😂 You know them by chance?
What is the Bike your friend is using? Funky paint job, no? Oh, just saw it in the title!
Yup, Desert X with custom paint job 😊
I am your new subscriber from Pakistan ❤💕🇵🇰💕🇵🇰
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you 😊
Posso chiederti quanti km hai fatto con il nurden901e se hai avuto problemi? Grazie anticipatamente e buona moto ❤
Hey there! 😊 Ive done about 15 000km on this bike and it has been running smoothly the whole time. The immobilizer warning comes on every now and then but seems like its just because of a dirty sidestand sensor! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 😃
Grazie per avermi risposto ❤
What is the other bike? Not the Husqvarna
It's a ducati desert x 😊
If you haven't seen the towestar youtube channel, check her out: "Jul 26, 2024
I’m taking a solo motorcycle trip from Berlin to Spain on my Husqvarna Svartpilen 701. After being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, I’ve been trying to figure out how to live as fully as possible. This ride is my way of leaving behind the fears of the past year to find some freedom on the road. But it wasn’t all I had imagined... My mission: to regain my confidence."....
Oh wow! I have to check that out, thank you for the tip!😊
What’s up with the van?
Would be easier to understand if you saw the first episode 😊 We needed the van to carry a lot of stuff for the ABR festival we attended the weekend before! Leonoor was working on a stand for Peak Design and was bringing everything for it herself.

Why so difficult to ride in the UK ?????????
No idea why this road was so heavily trafficked 😅
Wales is my motorbiking back yard! Full of awesome roads! Would be happy to show you a few of them, if you come back. As far as Scotland goes, anywhere north of Glasgow is amazing, especially the west coast... take a ferry over to the Isle Of Skye. 😊
It’s of us definitely have to come back some day to explore more of the entire UK, and even Ireland is on my list too 😍
4 July,24 old trip
Thanks for the very useful info 😊 Have a good evening!
Baa little lambs do bleat to their Mums, while in tents Indian food takes its toll on rear ends before escaping via the vents that make the lambs think "Mum whats that stench and where is it coming from?" as all sheep stare into the field you gals are parked in. Baaa!!
Hahahaha!🤣
🟢⚪🔴🤗
😃👋
Lady your language?
Norwegian for me, Dutch for Leonoor 😉
The infrastructure in the UK is horrible with so many narrow roads and highways because so much of the tax money went to and still does go to the monarchy. they are living filthy rich off of the people to live an extravagant lifestyle. They are taxed to death in European countries. I was waiting for you to pet the sheep. still waiting for the cow episode. You really need to do that and get over your fear of such cute friendly animals. thanks. 🙂
Ilove you you are beautiful pakistan sa
Thats very kind of you!
